  1. I have the same worry. Just got to hope enough people see through it for the big pile of steaming turd that it is. Must admit most folk I have spoken too at work, see all this extra powers nonsense and last minute visits as blind panic. Even some of the unionists are unhappy at the purdah.
  2. Hmmm....perhaps 1.3 trillion reasons why Anthony C Pick is wrong on this one (again)????
  3. I clearly stated that there were idiots on both sides. You however, sought to portray the no side as victims???? Happy to point out the inaccuracy.
  4. Go and google it yourself. There have been several instances of physical attacks on yes campaigners. Off the top of my head I can think of an elderly man being pushed to the ground and breaking his wrist, a pregnant woman being kicked in the stomach and an arson attack. All despicable attacks by no fuds. On the otherhand Jim Murphy got an egg flung at him.
  5. So your experience.....backed up by...errr nothing. Stop spreading Daily Mailesque rubbish. Without doubt there are fuds in both camps. Its just the no camp has more of them.
  6. Ha ha. Did you ever manage to sell many copies?
  7. Could HB really be Mr Pick. A wee P&B book plug.
  8. Nah....you've just been found out...thats all????
  9. Ok???? I respect that, if I find surprising.
  10. Lets further your line of thought then. In a hypothetical scenario, your argument suggests that you would be content that Berwick (or wherever you stay) was taken over by, for example, a greater German state. As long as it suited your individual circumstances?
  11. Its hilarious how they tie themselves in knots over this. The hypocrisy of their criticism of "nationalism"????
  12. So by your definition, a person who wishes independence for Scotland because the believe they will be better served by that scenario, is not a nationalist. Not in the way of the concept of nationalism that your original post alluded to anyway.
  13. Wonderful sentiment, but unrealistic. Unfortunately the world is and will be for some time divided into nation states. Ours for the moment being the UK. Now unless you would be happy for these islands to be ruled by someone from anywhere in the world, (say Germany or Argentina for example,) you are in small part, a nationalist. ???? Perhaps a "British" nationalist. I also hate certain types of nationalism. I have no problem with nationalism that is inclusive of all in a nation despite their background, is based on the principle of self determination and is not expansive or seeking to dominate others. Very much the Scottish example. I hate nationalism that is overbearing, expansive and seeks to deny other persons the right to determine their own destiny. It is not the fact that peoples and nations are different that causes problems. There is always going to be differences. The issue comes when nations cannot accept that other people are different. They seek to dominate . That is the true evil side of nationalism.
  14. ???? You not proud to be British now then?
  15. You have bought the message of fear from the scaremongers. Hope will triumph over fear???? (hopefully????)
  16. I take it you meant "zero no votes." in Dundee and Motherwell. Not sure about the no high rollers bit???? I think my point still stands. The current odds have been heavily manipulated due to a few high value punts on no in London. The bookies have adjusted their prices to cover the loss potential accordingly. Its possible that this has made more small punters back yes but that is inconclusive. What can be concluded is that the vast majority of bets in Scotland have backed yes. Take out those few high value bets and the odds would be much tighter.
  17. ???? I have no doubt that there is a bit of the chancer punter angle to the yes betting, however at odds of 5/1 etc I don't think its that speculative. Also I think you might find betting limits kick in at around £100 for yes. No betting limits on a no punt obviously. £600,000 ????. Seriously!! If you don't think such large bets can influence the market, then really its a bit insulting to say anyone else doesn't understand how bookmakers odds work.
  18. http://willhillbet.tumblr.com/post/94438394233/79-of-scots-backing-yes Interesting. Rich London Tory donors altering the odds?
  19. Aye amazing how the price can be altered by a few big tory punters???? Taking my political head off for a moment and putting my greedy bassa head on. Get your money on yes now. Price is certain to drop. Then lay it a couple of days out. Easy money.????
  20. Plus. How exactly can the UK "demand" a bigger share of the oil? Absolute nonsense.
  21. All these no voters believing the result is in the bag. All based on the evidence of one poll. Cringeworthy. What a bite on the erse that will be if you don't win now eh chaps.
  22. Eh. Are the pundit and Lex looking at the same poll?
