  1. So what was the Dundee player thinking who, after the injury, took the ball and went on a run into the penalty area thinking? Or his team mates who also kept on playing? Or the St Johnstone players who also kept on playing? Maybe no-one realised it was a really bad, life endangering injury apart from your doctor, whose prompt action literally saved Michael Mellons life. Lets just hope he gets out of hospital soon. Whats that you say? He's already home? Oh, perhaps the Dundee over the top narrative isnt that accurate after all.
  2. Like i said, 3 or 4 seconds. Not sure why everyone of a Dundee persuasion is exaggerating what happened here. It was a nasty, accidental clash of heads. The referee made a mistake by not stopping play immediately. Thats it. No need to pretend Mellon's injury was worse than it was, or try to have Gordon done with GBH or Munro struck off (he maybe should be struck off but just because he's not very good. nothing to do with this).
  3. It looked like an accidental clash of heads. The ref should have stopped play slightly sooner, but play only went on for another 3 or 4 seconds before he did stop play. Its great young Mellon is ok, but all this over the top hyperbole about a life endangering injury, on top of his comments after Wednesday night, makes me think there is only one manager allowed to act like a total fanny, and now Adams is away, Tony Doc is taking up the mantle.
  4. I believe this will come. His tenure has been nothing less than bizarre, creating this narrative that County have big problems and a poor squad when in reality, they probably have a squad of comparable quality to at least 3 or 4 other Premiership sides.
  5. I think he's working on the assumption that as Killie go to Parkhead the game after next they are unlikely to win.
  6. In my experience consultants only benefit the bank balance of consultants. They usually come out with wanky management speak bollocks that people dont understand. I dont really think you need a consultant to tell you the way for a football club to be successful is to get decent players, play them in the right position and get a manager that can gel them as a team.
  7. I'd be more concerned that the short term appointment is because Aberdeen have engaged performance consultants to review operations. I bet that will be a very expensive waste of time.
  8. Sorry, wasnt counting Dundee given they've just come up, and Dundee is also a shithole not deserving of city status.
  9. This season against the city clubs we've won 4, drawn 2 and lost only one so far.
  10. I actually thought Stav had something to offer, but we still have Ayunga, Scott, Mandron, Jamieson, and Olusanya up front, plenty of options.
  11. To be honest, its all relative. Missing out on a striker, with the only possible consequence being finishing outwith the top 6 or not qualifying for europe, when 9 years ago we lost our best player and replaced him with Yoann feckin Arquin to ensure our relegation was a formality. Killie will just feck up Europe anyway and lose to some part time Welsh mob again anyway. Give me Albion Rovers away in the League Cup groups any day of the week.
  12. Fair play, very good transfer window for you, which should all but guarantee premiership football next season. Just hope it isnt enough to get into top 5 or 6.
  13. Trying to buy a ticket for the game on the 3rd - had to register, put my date of birth thing involvjng some archaic scroll back thing that took ages, then had to identify images containing traffic lights, once registered then had to come out of that and go into a separate link for away tickets, bought them and got to checkout, then got told i had to link my purchase to my account, thought i'd done that and then got to a screen where it didnt allow me to complete the purchase. Its taken me nearly an hour and still not got tickets. WTF is that all about? I'm trying to buy 2 tickets, not the whole club! Other Saints fans have had the same issue.
  14. I think Beaton has a soft spot for Aberdeen, also the ref in the double hit penalty game.
  15. I always thought Reilly would go on to bigger and better things, shame that his career has taken the trajectory it has.
  16. How long have you been a St Mirren fan? I'm old enough to remember us losing 2-0 at home to Dumbarton in the Cup when we were third in the league.
  17. The evidence for this is pretty weak. If their schedule caused tiredness, what is the excuse yesterday, as they had ten days free before it and St Mirren had played twice in that time? The high number of games in hand also mean they will still likely be playing twice a week well into the new year.
  18. He can't hear you, he's still trying to get out of Alex Gogic's back pocket.
  19. Aberdeen were behind in their last two home games and came back to win. Just hope the penalty miss doesnt prove crucial. I dont want to come over all elvis but i'd still probably take a point from this.
  20. That line up screams a 4-3-3 but you just know we'ĺ still play 3 st the back with someone shoehorned into the right wing back slot.
