  1. That's mixing it all up far too much. Surely the answer has to involve another home game for Dundee v TRFC. Surely the top banter fixture
  2. If I've worked this out properly it'll be an extra home game v Killie with St. Mirren having an extra home game v Hearts. On current form not sure which is better
  3. Looking at the weather forecast it's clear that there is a better chance that the game could go ahead on Tuesday rather than risking Wednesday. Think we should offer that to TRFC. Clearly they think it fine to play 2 games in 2 days so better all round. Easier than getting to Mars to ensure game is played
  4. Not forgetting this was the same game where they were an hour late for a game they advised their mutants that there was roadworks so leave early. Couldn't even manage an evening game on time. Could someone send a link to the statement where they called out their negligence, I must have missed it
  5. Depends what "standard" is used. Think of Scotland Georgia game, Dens has been more playable in all our call offs than that. Pressure will be on refs to make sure it goes ahead
  6. I saw this differently, think Killie targeted our right side as we are weak there and Dodgson didn't do nearly enough, just stood off his man and waited for Mulligan to turn up. Not really his fault as I understand he's more of a left sided defender. Was madness to let Kerr go and not have proper cover. When I say cover I can't say McGhee is a RB/RWB, absolutely a CH.
  7. I'd like to see Sylla and Boateng both playing but realistically we have to play a back 4 for this not to have too big an impact on the creativity side. We don't have a proper right back so can't see it happening other than v arse cheeks
  8. Really don't think Kerr has been given a chance under Doc. Only recall him starting against the top clubs (including the 1-0 over the Jambos). As far as I'm concerned, when he's played in RB or RWB he's been miles better than other options, particularly McGhee where I really don't understand Doc's favouritism. Not only this we still don't have anyone that is close to doing the job he can do with us. If we'd signed a right sided Beck then absolutely fair enough but we have this gaping hole that some of our squad are going to be shoe-horned into. Doc's done a really good job but this is one area he has made a monumental mess of, and continues to by the looks of it
  9. p.s. the rest of you half wit Kerr haters can join in. Go ahead, make my day
  10. You are our biggest problem, you and your ilk. Your prejudices, rather than having any understanding about squad cost v budget. McGhee, as he showed against Hearts, can be a solid centre half. Never in a million years is ha a RB, RWB. Repeatedly managers ave tried to replace a more than capable Kerr with, quite frankly, a waste of budget. Kerr should be well respected for what he does, and has done, which is a million miles above those that have been brought in, or put in his position. Go ahead, tell me, over all the managers that have been in charge, which top 5 players in Kerr's time, in order, has been better than Kerr? Put up or shut up!
  11. I've never bought into the Tyler is fab as RB/RWB, still I'm just dreading seeing McGhee on the team-sheet giving us absolutely nothing down the right again. Personally I'd go back 4 as well with Sylla Boateng in front
  12. We were far too open the other night with Boateng frequently our furthest forward player instead of deep beside Sylla. Not bringing on Roberston for McCowan when he was bowing out his arse and we wanted to tighten the game up was odd too. Going forward, when we are playing at home against the teams around us we have to be more attacking so none of this 5 at the back. Portales has begun to impress but he must be be the right sided CH. Kerr and Beck are clearly the full backs so this leaves the left CH position, and at the moment it could be one from quite a few. Shaughnessy is captain, Lamie natural position, McGhee played really well v Hearts there, Ashcroft can and Donnelly could really impress with a run of games. I'd like to see Boateng Sylla just in front but willing to drive forward given the opportunity. McCowan Tiffoney Pineda and Bakayoko as a combo could well work. We are in November and while we're edging toward our best team / formation I don't think we are there yet. Above is just another punt
  13. Why 45 mins delay, can understand 20 mins by which time they were warmed up. I wasn't too bothered about the flares, more the timing. If they'd been let off as the teams came onto the pitch it would have all blown over by kick off time. Think the police were looking for a bit extra overtime the time it took them, allow common sense to prevail
  14. Not sure what Gollum was thinking about the initial yellow card, if it was an accidental landing on the player then surely play on. If he saw it as a stamp then clearly a red straight away. Total buffoon, am never sure if he hates us as well as being incompetent
  15. All very quiet here. Got to be looking to get full points here, hopefully a back 4 rather than 5 with more flair going forward. Is Mulligan suspended?
  16. My bet would be Kerr will be preferred over French. If we play a back 5 maybe not but otherwise...
  17. I Rudden has it in him to be a decent striker. He definitely need to develop his game further and I'm far from convinced he will do that at us this season, Championship would be more his level. I wouldn't be against Jak being back, though always fingers crossed when it comes to his injury record
  18. Would say all three are more comfortable on right hand side, a really good quality left hand sided central defender a priority....and a left back...and a keeper... and a holding midfielder.... and a striker, or two
  19. I may be in a minority here but Cammy has been one of our best performers over the last couple of seasons (not a high bar I grant you). He has the kind of drive, and is clearly one of the fittest players we have, that most managers would appreciate. If we had offered a new 2 yr deal for Marshall, Ashcroft, McGhee, Legzdins, Reedy, Sheridan or Lawlor I wouldn't say any of these are SPL standard, Cammy I'm totally fine with. Bookmark me
  20. Fans are going apeshit, way out = Davidson "turning it down". Here's hoping
  21. Charlie Reilly on pre-contract?? If 5 senior players "only" being offered renewals then I recon Kerr, Sweeney, McMullen, McCowan & Jak. Legzdins could be coach / cover so probably not in the "real" 5. Hopefully Mulligan, Cameron & Sharp still at Dens and sign 9. If Rudden and French could be moved on that would be grand / add another 1 signing.
  22. A budget is given to most managers and it's up to them to work within that budget. I think, clearly without knowing the detail, we've had a number of players getting significantly more than the market would require given their performance level. Now is a great opportunity to redress that balance. If, as reported in certain places, Bowyer is on a rolling contract then he could easily be with us next season. Maybe the board will take on his request that he wants to be nearer his family and are not that fussed about him leaving. Bringing in a new manager when we only have 4 players for next season gives me the fear though, particularly with the current board's track record.
