  1. The corner routine for the first goal is superb. The amount of space they give Dowds is criminal mind you! Great highlights as always but a question... Have you started speeding up the play on the highlights? In no way a criticism as the job you guys do is great! Just not sure if it’s the same for everyone or just me! Or maybe I’m imagining things.. A win next week would be massive and can open up a bit of a gap for us assuming Forfar get beat, which considering we potentially might not play another league game for 3-4 weeks could be crucial for the run-in!
  2. Fully agree. Sparky got roasted down that left side on Saturday and doesn’t look the same player after coming back from injury. I’d hate to think that DY is shoehorning him into the side because they’re mates, but I think he certainly deserves to be dropped. I personally think Linton (when fit) is our best option at LB and should be playing there over both Sparky and Slattery.
  3. No doubt about it, Young is not cut out for management at this level. Our failings are glaringly obvious and the same issues from last season are ringing true this season. We have two games coming up against arguably the best two teams in the division and will be extremely difficult for us to take points. The board have to act and they have to act NOW if they want us to retain our status in this division as quite simply Young isn’t up to keeping us in this league. Anyone who has EF at heart has to see that Young is only taking us backwards. Young Must Go.
  4. Seriously worried going into this season. Midfield and defence looks solid but I think we’re taking a huge gamble going into the season with the strikers we have signed up. Court is still yet to prove himself at this level, we all know of Kev Smiths injury record and Dowds is a complete unknown for most. The jump up from the EOS to L1 is massive. Hope to be proved wrong here but can’t help but feel concerned about our chances this season. Really not sure we needed another left sided player in McBride also. Yes he might be able to do a job for us and was decent in his last spell but is it really a position we’re short for cover in with Linton, Agnew and Watt all comfortable there? Time will tell.
  5. Anton Dowds who played the second half was top goal scorer/ player of the year for Heriot Watt in the EOS league last season.
  6. New home top and third top announced on Twitter. That third top is incredible[emoji7]
  7. Pretty sure EF released Wilson and he signed permanently for Bonnyrigg a couple of months ago. Disappointing news that Millar signed for Airdrie, thought he was very solid in the middle. Young has a big task on his hands this summer getting players in. Have my doubts that he’s up to it unfortunately...
  8. Confirmation that Goodfellow, Lamont and Wilkie have left on the EFM. Would definitely have liked to have kept Lamont and Wilkie as on their day they can be the difference but hard to justify keeping players who struggle with fitness. All the best to all three[emoji1303]
  9. In 16 games in charge of us his record was W3 D2 L11. We averaged less than a goal a game and conceded 2.38 per game on average.... Good luck [emoji1303][emoji23]
  10. Just seen this on Twitter... Could be nothing but looks likely that he could be one of these signings. Also just checked his 'Soccerbase' profile and that has him listed as an East Fife player. Anyone know anything about him?
  11. Chris Duggan has said on twitter that he's now signed a new contract. Great news.
  12. Can't really understand that one, Brown is probably a decent League 1 player and not much more IMO. Was really surprised when he got our POTY as there were at least 3-4 (Kerr, Page, Kane, Robinson) who deserved it over him. However he does give his all every match and seemed to be a bit of a fans favourite. Wish him all the best at Livi but I'd be surprised if he manages the step up to Championship football.
  13. Tom Courts has went from 10/1 to evens in under an hour...
  14. Please take Naysmith off our hands. Got us relegated after having a 10 point advantage over Airdrie last season and 4th place with the squad we had this season is very poor. His tactics are far too negative, and many games he's more worried about the oppositions strengths than playing to ours. He's clearly applying for jobs though, which will alienate him from the EF support even more so definitely best for us if he does get it.
  15. Gutted that we haven't managed to keep a hold of Dickson, him and Julen were the two signings that changed our season. Cant see us being able to keep him either. Our priorities now have to be keeping a hold of Fraser Mullen, Stevie Campbell and Kev Smith, then building the team around those three.
  16. According to the OS we've signed Julen Echaveguren Leanizbarrutia, a centre half who played with Real Sociedad for 5 years . Good luck to the stadium announcer with that one!
  17. 1. Tyrion Lannister 2. The Hound 3. Peter Baelish 4. Arya Stark 5. Jon Snow
  18. As far as we know, the Twiggs are Neil Rankine's 16 year old niece (Samantha), and her mother. In total, the Twiggs own nearly half of the shares in EFFC.
  19. According to a post on AFTN, this is how the shareholdings look. "Lorraine Twigg owns 69582 shares, Samantha Twigg 33166. The next biggest shareholding goes to a "Rodger" family who own 30450. The trust only own just over 5000".
  20. Drew 0-0 tonight with what seemed like almost the full Hibs first team. Thought Fraser Mullen and Stevie Campbell looked good, and Beaton looked pretty useful when he came on as well. It has to be said, although tonight was only a pre-season friendly, Hibs look pretty poor. Roll on the real start of the season (Challenge cup doesn't count)!!
  21. Looks pretty good to me! I assume with the change in kit maker/sponsors that we'll be getting a new away kit too?
  22. New kits to be released and available for pre-order tomorrow!
