Can't believe we're back to "sack McGlynn now".

Can we AT LEAST wait until something new happens for us to discuss if he deserves it.

I have no idea what is serious, what is utter buffoonery or what is sarcasm on here anymore. The first two are almost always mutually exclusive.

    Same wallopers everytime

He's in an aerial challenge FFS - It's not like he's passed it along his box straight to an opposition player to score 🙄

I'm not a fan of McKay by any means but not seeing the same energy for Yeats playing tennis - confirmed on the SPFL highlights - to concede the penalty.

    Players make mistakes.

    Simmer down

Players do make mistakes, my point still stands, that we seem to be diluting the blame, but at what point do you take it back to? For me it's cut and dry. He makes a glaring error, he probably knows he has and I doubt he blames anyone else for it either, but we move on. Far too much airtime given to this now in my opinion.

That 5-2 game in 96 was my first brockville experience and it was an absolutely mental game! 😂

Needless to say I was hooked

Were we not getting beat with about 15 mins to go? I remember my uncle leaving but I wanted to stay so my dad stayed with me, was some comeback and he couldn't believe he missed it.

This is quite the over exaggeration no? No one was talking about clout or dictating change. But there was a lot of concern here from more than 3 or 4 posters. Maybe there were some more vocal but the concern was wider than that. Anyway my point was I think being able to talk about those concerns is a positive wherever it may be. If those concerns are then heard then that is great news surely? I am not sure why that has been seen as such a negative?? I also have no idea whether they were or were not listened to and whether that has or has not changed plans but I would be very happy to think that a club with majority fan ownership would consider the fans opinions. Is that something you disagree with?

If grown adults are 'sitting around a table' and discussing posts made on an anonymous football forum whereby it effects their decision making on serious matters then I'd be concerned yes. It's pie and bovril FFS. Do they do the same on that coyb page? I doubt it very much and they have a lot more users than this website.

    Serious bidness this Internet eh

I don't have a problem with you starting the thread early, What I did do was say why I personally don't have much to say about the match at this point. I said that because things could happen to limit our selection options with two cup ties between now and then. That's just a personal choice, not a rule for, or a blast at anybody who thinks differently.

The being ahead of them part I just took as typical mild banter between rivals. Yes, banter that the result might not bear out, but didn't say a word about boasting.  So, perhaps you could work on toning down the hypersensitivity a bit.  No, I couldn't tell if that was serious or sarcasm and frankly didn't care, but if sarcasm was the intent, fine. A bit light on bite maybe.

If I was going for obvious sarcasm I'd probably go for, If Falkirk hadn't been crap in the cup they'd have a cup tie to get through as well.  Each to their own though. Have a nice evening.

Lived in Stirling for years and used to go to Binos games quite regularly.

It's quite nice seeing them back at a decent level. It's a good community club.

It was me that said Stirling are crap and I stick by it. I live in Stirling and went to their game against stenny a few weeks ago, they started well but then struggled to do anything of note against a defence with Gregor buchanan at the helm. As for community club, that's a far stretch, They have a bunch of wee guys that go to the games that couldn't name you a single player, purely there to shout abuse and have a carry on. I hope we absolutely horse them.

McIver has a big lad knack iv seem over the years from others, examples fail me atm, where he seems to judge the flight of a ball early and take about 3 or 4 steps in the build up to going up for it, and then seems to hang in the air. It's so weird to watch but highly effective. Tends to be the kind of striker that wins fouls rather than constantly give them away as he doesnt rely on wrestling to win his duels and it becomes obvious to defenders that fouling him is the only way to stop what he does.

    Lee Miller was like that.

If said quality RB only becomes available this coming Saturday morning should we have overlooked everyone else and an entire pre-season to ensure we had the budget for them!

    Just a thought.

    Nail on the head here.

Let's not make any signings at all until a right back good enough becomes available. Aye nae bother.

How far we’ve fallen, guys like Morrison absolutely shat at when it mattered but hey ho, it’s fine as we won’t get better in this league.  Maybe if McGlynn got of his arse and looked at players outwith a thirty mile radius, we’d be in a better place.

The 30 miles tag was a Houstie thing and is old news.

    Afraid not

It would be 30K, as we won't hold back revenue from this season to pay next seasons wages.

His monthly wage in May 2025 will be paid for by revenue generated over the course of next season. That cash isn't available to us right now so we can't use it to make a signing today.

    Ahh Got ye 👍

Would you have extended his contract for one year?  And how much did it cost us?

No, not at the time it was done either without knowing what league we would be in. No idea how much it cost us, but let's say he's on 30k a year (probably more) that's an extra 60k we could have used for a decent one year contract to entice someone?

Of course it's just speculation on his wages, might be way off the mark, but using common sense it would be there or there abouts surely. I just can't see him contributing anything that will merit the contract. Would love to be proved wrong of course.
