While we are revelling in the moment, I have a question.

It's time I got a new Falkirk shirt, so can someone confirm if the XL is more a loose fit or if it helps to buy 1 size up?

    Get a size up

Have to say the picture quality of Alloa’s highlights are much better. Not sure how we upload them but should  have been asking for help from people like @LeodhasXDrather than jump on the pile on he received last week when trying to be of assistance. I get if it’s a time constraint for our volunteers but seems it has tried to have been rectified without success then have a pop at another volunteer in the process. If it’s no extra hassle for our volunteers then should be solved for the benefit of our fans and not to have a dig at an Alloa volunteer.

    Sit doon, he's a walloper.

There is trying to be of assistance and then there is just being a bit arrogant and contemptuous. I'm sure everything he said was absolutely correct, but there is certainly a way to approach these things. And trying to degrade other social media teams on pie and bov and suggesting you have the best quality highlights in scottish football is not the way in my opinion. It's one thing for fans and especially paying fans to make comments on quality and ask for better, it's another for a social media representative to tear down another's clubs team. Just a way to go about things and I think that was the issue, not the fact he was giving advice.

Spot on here. He's full of himself. Not trying to help anyone, just comes across as a bit of dick to be honest.

Enjoyed this. Thought it must be a response to some misplaced alloa socials shithousery so I went for a look on their Facebook and spotted this wild formation 😲

Any recommendations for pre match pub with decent beer that allows kids in? Don't usually have a pint before Alloa games but got some time this week. Thanks.

Last time I went with my laddie we went to the bobbing John? Was a while ago now mind you

I'm sure if he had had 6 changes then Morrison would've been on at some point.

Pretty sure McGlynn actually said this.

I thought the club counted season tickets in the attendance even if the tickets not been used, there was times last season when the attendance in the stadium looked a good few hundred below the official attendance announced. Most clubs count season tickets if they're used or not do they not. Even though the km stand has been sold out the last two matches there have been plenty of spare seats(3 unused season tickets in our group) for instance.

Not sure if they count in physical attendance figures announced at the end of the game, but aye they will have to announce sold out as the seats are paid for and reserved prior to attendance anyway obviously.

This is the point I always make if you want me to make your product you better pay me to do it. Falkirk are using three volunteers... I'm well within my rights to say I think your product is rubbish. That original criticism came from your own Falkirk fans. I'm just offering my opinion on a) why it's ugly b) how to make it better.

If that's not the done thing then it bloody well should be.

Of course you are within your rights, but completely lacks any professional integrity. Deliberately criticising volunteers publicly, who are in the same line of work as yourself lacks class and makes you come across really arrogant. We get it, you are good at your job, doesn't mean you have to go around saying those volunteers are rubbish. You'd think anyone in your position would be defending these guys instead of just having a go and saying 'look how amazing I am' think you've made a wrong judgement call on this one.

Just off the top of my head, in my experience, maybe Stenny / Shire / Stirling / Airdrie / Morton. (?)

Would be interesting to see if any of my five match yours.

Surely Airdrie is reciprocated? I can't stand them and their fans.

I live in Stirling, have done all my life, and it's true, any Albion I know absolutely hates falkirk. One said it was because he was jealous of the size of our club and fan base. I honestly don't care about them one way or another. Cute really.

I for one think Falkirk FC are probably the third biggest club in Scotland and to inconvenience even one of their supporters is unforgivable.

We should just forfeit the game as a goodwill gesture and award them a 3-0 victory.

They are massive and we could never hope to complete with them anyway.

Aww you were so close and then fucked it.

May have differences with how I view the FSS but 850 members is a great amount. Pleasing to see that get recognised as a success rather than not being enough.

With it bringing in 120k per year, it's the equivalent of 1000 fans donating the minimum tenner a month so far, so without always focusing on the amount of subs, the amount of actual cash going in is great.

Without trying to state the obvious of course.

What a lot of shite. Falkirk are one of the best teams (probably the best) in the league so teams naturally have to play better in order to beat them. No team specifically raises their game against Falkirk. You ain’t that important

Falkirk are specifically the best team in the league, and teams specifically try to beat the best in the league, but no one is specifically trying to beat Falkirk, who are currently the best team in the league...thats what you are saying right?

Obviously yes on your first question.
    Obviously  no on your second.
Personally I’d go all out to win every game. Play the best players and if it’s out of sight at half time, or even before, then bring the other guys on.
    All about opinions.

That's a wild take man. We have guys more than capable that haven't had game time. Give them a run out and protect the guys in the first 11. Spencer, Morrison, Miller, Alfie have already all been on the treatment table this season. We have some huge games coming up.

Think you're at it to be fair and just waiting on a woosh

And if it does go badly and they’re subbed against Formartine, with respect, how does that affect their confidence?

    You’re talking pish here mate.

Surely if someone is playing badly you sub them for someone who you hope can do better? With the greatest respect you are talking pish.

Would you play them but keep them on if they are playing shite so you don't hurt their confidence?

If they think they can't even get a start against a Highland league team, surely that is worse for their confidence?

  12. 8 minutes ago, SouthStander1876 said:

Fair enough, personally I'd start the likes of Lawal, Allan etc who should be capable of getting a result, but if its going badly then sub the first team guys on.

This is the most logical approach. Rest as many first team as we can, if we are cruising without them then great, if not then get them on. 1-0 or 10-0 matters not a jot in a cup game, the outcome is still the same.

Let’s not forget, as great as he was, he did spend a lot of time in midfield for us (and of course, a bit upfront). This added to his long injury lay-offs means I can’t quite put him in the Falkirk great category for central halves. I would guess in the 5 years he was there, in all Falkirk games played, he was used approximately 25% as centre half (whether through injury, suspension or tactics).

Right you, Plenty of tar in a car park to roll about in. Bring yer maw
