Yes I am aware of that, the minutes aren’t clear due to the reference to tayside league. It’s not a tayside league it’s the current east super league. Have had clarification on it this afternoon. Great news about the licensing, also 100% the juniors in there current set up with east and west superleagues are coming in at tier 6 and still being governed by the SJFA as current. Lowland League promotion extremely hard now with currently only one up one down. Hopefully, the eosl sosl lowland and juniors can get together and have a national non league Scottish cup. Glad it’s all sorted and we can get on with the football.

Clubs who potentially get relegated from lowland league at anytime go back to the league they were promoted from. Hypothetically For example Kelty to eos and lochee to east region junior superleague. Geographic boundaries are being reveiewrd. Not rocket science to be fair. I was at the meeting yes. For me it’s fine we get on with the eos and the juniors stay intact within the pyramid. This season isn’t great as far as we’re concerned income is down from last years superleague but we expected that and am sure next season the newly formed eos 16 team league will be a good league. Am looking forward to it all getting revealed officially and we move on. Would be good from next season to have a cup competition across all clubs and hopefully that can be sorted as well.

Are you referring to the draft minutes. The terminology of tayside league is wrong. Confirmed at meeting this is reference to the current east superleague when the top table was asked. A don’t get the bitterness what’s the problem with the current junior east superleague coming in at tier 6 next season and playing off with eos, West super and sosl for promotion ?

Not true. The current east junior superleague and west of Scotland superleague will enter at tier 6 next season at the same level as the newly to be formed east of Scotland 16 team league and sosl. There will be a play off from the winners of these 4 leagues to see who goes to lowland league. So from season 19/20 as it stands there will be 50 odd teams playing for 1 promotion place to the lowland league. Licence embargo still in place. Juniors still intact going forward.

Or even giving a reason for the embargo still being in place would be a start.

Felt from our perspective we showed you too much respect 1st half. Bonnyrigg started really well and after 20 minutes I was worried it may end up a cricket score in your favour. However, we managed to get ourselves into the game going into the last 20 mins before half time. 2nd half a felt we did really well especially after losing the third, showed a lot of desire to get back into the game. We kept plugging away and got our rewards and nearly nicked it in the end. Although in all honesty we didn't really do enough overall to win game. Was a good game for the neutral a suppose.

We've had the SFP visit several times before we ever paid the SFA. The SFP fund all levels of football so the application to the SFA is immaterial. Depends what level of grant you are going for their are various tiers. Also, the reality currently is any business minded person in there right mind would question whether to throw money at facilities to comply for a licence when at this moment in time there is no guarantee of when/if you will ever be allowed to obtain the licence and obtain the financial benefits of doing so. At lot of the old superleague clubs ourselves included applied for eosl on the basis that moving towards licence could be done quickly which has proven not to be the case. We have tried to contact various people about this and been met with basically a wall of silence with nobody assisting in any way whatsoever.

That’s not how it works at the moment to be fair no potential of grants from eosl unless you have paid your £2k the SFP are also saying the same. Cant get my head round why there is an embargo and no reason given to why it is in place. smoke and mirrors all the time whether it’s the sjfa or the sfa never a straight answer from anyone. Extremely frustrating at the moment.

This is happening on our side. However, part of paying the fee then allows feedback and guidance from the licensing department, assistance and direction with grants etc. As they are not accepting the entry fees the above is not forthcoming. At the moment although you can look at the detail and do as much as you can the finance element for any assistance is null and void. I may be overly worrying however it is common knowledge to me that other clubs in the higher pyramid tiers aren’t as open to allowing clubs to climb the pyramid as was hoped. Hopefully all will be resolved very quickly

As it stands the majority of clubs that have moved over to the eosl would be looking to achieve entry level licensing as quickly as possible. The big elephant in the room at the moment is that the embargo has not been lifted to allow clubs to apply. I am currently on holiday but am led to believe that the meeting on Monday didn’t clearly indicate any timescale for this to be lifted. This needs to be addressed urgently, and the barriers lifted to allow clubs to progress as initially hoped. Playing devils advocate I actually get the point raised by the pyramid news guy but obviously not in the way he has communicated it. Theres a glass ceiling at the moment and it needs lifted ASAP.

Club Statement Dundonald Bluebell can confirm that we have brought forward our original application for admission to the eosl for season 19/20 to allow us to join the association for next season 18/19. We sincerely hope to be accepted by member clubs at next weeks eosl agm.

Who do the PWG report too? I assume they are a working group reporting to some kind of board who will inevitably make the final decision, whatever that will be.

Burnie you have a lot to say for yourself and portray yourself as the guy with all the answers. Some of your overall points are very valid and some seen through your own agenda for me there are a lack of facts across the board at this time so for clubs whatever they decide it a leap of faith. I would suggest you were an ardent YES voter during the referendum as your forum tactics used are bordering on bullying. A suppose easy to do from the comfort of your keyboard. Your comments about junior football as a whole are embarassing for your club and at times portray a wee bitter man behind a key board if anybody dosent see things thru your glasses. Personally a dont know why you get so up tight. Your club are following your wishes yet you continue to pollute this forum. Your comments about my own club in the decision we have made are at best derisory. You have no financial facts nor detail on our ground requirements but speculate anyway. Whatever way we went there is a risk factor due to numerous uncertainties around structures, licensing etc and at this moment in time there is no real benefit in rushing. We had budgeted for losing money in our 1st year in the eos as we worked towards licence criteria. This is based on our current income being a superleague club. The uncertainty around licensing and the way forward with that has impacted on our decision but isn’t sole reason. Different for your club, with the utmost respect Blackburn are not and never have been a superleague club. So possibly as with any club in the south league or recently in the premier moving has minimal risk. If it doesn’t work out you apply back to the juniors and enter a league you have mainly always played in. Am not debating the pyramid as am a firm believer in it and we will join it in a year with hopefully our licence at the same time but for now it’s better together for the bluebell while we await developments. It’s not a strange statement from us it’s an open and transparent where we are. You may find it strange as it dosent fully agree with what you perceive will happen but that’s your outlook not ours. oh and our ground is named Moorside park not Moor Park but don’t let facts get in the way of a good story.
