  1. As far as I know it is his shirt from Swindon Town with the league champions patches.
  2. Hello everyone. Peterhead are auctioning some items to support one of our players and also the mental health charity Back Onside. One lot that might interest you all: 'Auction Lot 1 Jim McInally's Dundee United's number four jersey from the 1987 UEFA Cup Final Second Leg against IFK Gothenburg, Jersey will be signed by Jim and other members of the Dundee United squad from that game. To place a bid on this item - you should email peterheadfcplayers@gmail.com with your bid which should be in sterling. The winner will be asked to pay for their item within 48 hours of the auction closing when the England and Scotland Euro 2020 Group Match kicks off at 8.00pm on Friday, June 18 2021'
  3. Will be missed if that is him going. Although I thought he could sometimes be a bit hit or miss he is cracking player on his day.
  4. So the squad would look something like this at the minute I think. GK Lenny Wilson Def Jason Brown Gary MacKenzie Mid Ryan Conroy Gary Fraser Andrew McCarthy Scott Brown Simon Ferry Alan Cook Ben Reilly Fwd Derek Lyle Ben Armour Aidan Smith Steven Boyd Isaac Layne
  5. Rory is excellent on his day but he hasn't really been at his best at all this season, especially with the injuries he has carried. Still shocked to see him go as I thought he might just see out his time here. Won't have a bad word to say if he does go as he has more than done enough in his time at Peterhead. Although I have to say it will be a bit of a minter for Mcinally if Cove win the league after signing yet more of the players who couldn't be guaranteed a game for us.
  6. Yeah no question about commitment. Just clearly something is not right at the moment and he is not linking up or creating chances like he has done in the past. Clearly he is struggling with fitness/injury and if he isn’t going to be fit he might as well get the operation. We won’t miss his goals as he isn’t scoring any.
  7. I think this really showed on Saturday and as team captain I would expect more.
  8. Forest v Fleetwood Town. Nice day for it but not much of a crowd.
  9. Very happy with that result. Seems to be the same game plan we used against Caley and Dundee and it is good to see that it works and we can keep clean sheets. Surprised at how little threat Falkirk offered considering how much ball they had, but I also think some the the defending from us was top notch. Was a bitty shocked at the Falkirk fans booing their players at the end.
  10. Pished himself in the car park [emoji23]
  11. One Falkirk fan lifted already for being steaming [emoji23] Good atmosphere so far though - hopefully a good game to go with it!
  12. New away strip to support Friends of Anchor charity. https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/north-east/peterhead/1797661/peterhead-fc-donate-strip-advertising-space-to-local-charity/
  13. Ticket prices have gone up for the season £14 for ground entry £16 for a seat.
  14. Lewis Buxton gone. Shocked to see another youngster leaving the club. Oh no wait, i'm not.
  15. Liam MacDonald away to the Puddlestinkers on loan. Midfielder Ross Willox signed then loaned to East Strilingshire.
  16. Aye he does it every year, usually tattie holidays and Easter holidays for the school kids. Usually 4/5 players come along to help him out.
  17. I think everyone knows that in part the players we have are at the club because of the manager, and there is a feeling that we might struggle to get a decent manager and players if he goes. He has won more games than he has lost so in a way he has been successful and we have a had a couple of good cup runs and a league title. It's the losses when it has mattered that have hurt , no point in pumping teams 7-0 in the league then bottling the play offs. I think it will be hard to judge until he eventually goes. At the moment it doesn't look like much is being built for the future, especially in developing young players who don't get much game time under Jim. It always seems to be about the short term results (as with the majority of cubs) although this is probably more to do with the board than the manager. Sometimes it seems silly complaining when your team is at the right end of the table more often than not, but as you are alluding to everyone expects Peterhead to have had a bit more success than we have.
  18. Wee piece from Jim on the BBC: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45867057
  19. Pretty much as you say. Also I am a lot busier this season than last so my ‘boycott’ is really just me not actually being able to make it to games. I don’t like to comment if I haven’t seen the match as usually there is always more to a game than just the score line. Pleased to see we are starting well so far but just struggle to have confidence we can maintain it after the last 2 or 3 seasons.
