  1. As Scotland fans why do we accept glorious failure as a badge of honour. Spain, England and Germany have beat us by one single goal in recent years - why do we accept this? "We gave a good account of ourselves against a better team" doesn't wash with me - I want to take points off these teams, especially after scoring two against them! Had we gave half the battle, enthusiasm and commitment we gave tonight as we did in Tbilisi, I reckon we'd have left Georgia with three points! Yet as a nation we seem to accept being the bridesmaid and never the bride!
  2. Meechan staying at Stenny whilst Pedro, Faulds, Watt and Grehan leave.
  3. Players finding out tonight who's staying and who's going. *continuously refreshes players' twitter accounts* Also, farewell to big Greacen. Been a good player for us over the last couple years!
  4. Think Malcolm lives pretty local, possibly Kinnaird/The Inches. Match made in heaven.
  5. Just got a text to say we are almost over the line in securing defender Mark Baxter from Forfar. Would be a tidy signing, especially if we can get Lithgow signed up too!
  6. Forgot all about that! Aye, some auld dear drove into him when he was cycling and gave him a belter of a knee problem.
  7. He joined the police near the end of the 2013-14 season and due to that wasn't fully committed. Since his shifts have levelled out just after the new year he has been unable to get a game ahead of Fleming.
  8. Heard from a reliable source that Kenny Miller is to leave Ibrox in the and join Stenhousemuir
  9. Nicky Devlin staying at Ayr as their captain
  10. I'd be disappointed to see Fleming leave but on the flip side I'd have no objections to Dean Shaw getting a chance. Whenever he has had to play he hasn't made a mistake or cost us goals. And given the budget cuts he wouldn't be a bad choice.
  11. Dean Shaw has signed on again at Stenhousemuir.
  12. If it wasn't for Greg Fleming reaction saves yesterday we would've been relegated (albeit he should have done much better at the equaliser). The early goal killed the tie in my opinion and for the first time this season our young and inexperienced players showed some game knowledge and nastiness to see it out and do the dirty side of football to win the tie. We really missed Kieran Miller yesterday. A midfielder more than happy and capable enough to drop and cover to dig out the defence, unlike Maranghi and Faulds who are not anywhere near what is needed for this level. You could've picked a man of the match from a host of players yesterday - Fleming, Summers, Meechan, Lithgow or Hodge. Commiserations to Queens Park who absolutely battered us in the second half and used the wind well, albeit not well enough as it turned out. Special mention to Club Captain Ross McMillan who missed the biggest game of the season to be an usher at a wedding in Newcastle. The Boss has been a great player for us over the last few years but this has left a bad taste in my mouth - if it was a cup final, league decider or promotion play off final would he have missed it? Also to Josh Watt, who 10 minutes after coming on SHOULD have been sent off for kicking out. Regardless of the challenge that led to it, he almost fucked it for us! Glad Bomber has kept us up and can rebuild his own team. I think we can expect to see a bit of a clear out over the summer! ETA - the scenes at the end with the kids on the pitch were excellent. I felt relief more than joy at the final whistle but it was great to see the kids love it - they would've really felt a part of something yesterday and hopefully they return next season. Good to see the club focussing on getting the next generation of Warriors supporters!
  13. Yep, was a two year deal he signed last season! Delighted with it.
  14. I think he'd be a decent signing for a lower half Championship team but can't see him being any better than that.
  15. Gregor Buchanan is to sign with Morton after Dunfermline's failure to get promoted triggered a release clause.
  16. Thanks Shandon! That's some clear out. I know Buchanan had a release clause if DAFC failed to win promotion so presumably there were a few like this.
  17. If a mod could pin this then that'd be grand. An easier way to keep track of who has signed who, who has been released and who is staying. Apologies if this has been posted already but I can't seem to find it. Players in italics signifies a new signing. 18. He's now got 2 in 2 games ... ARMAGEDDON LOOMS Ross MCMILLAN should do well at Stirling and be a key player for you. A very good defender however is ridiculously prone to a stupid red card. Guarantee he'll have at least 3 sendings off next season. He is still only on loan from Celtic so guessing middle of the road Championship Clubs would be looking to take him for a year long loan come the summer. I know we're trying to get him back next season - if we get relegated I reckon we've no chance but if we stay in the division I think we may be able to keep him as he has enjoyed it and stays local too!
