  1. I'm liking the capitals, reassures me that this game is definitely going ahead.
  2. Both teams to lose in the challenge cup them play the game on Saturday December 10th which some daft bugger has decreed has been set aside for the next round.
  3. There may be English games called off due to London police expecting millions to arrive prior to the funeral but none up here hopefully.
  4. Seems the strong expectation is that the funeral will be on Monday 19th so at least that ensures football a week tomorrow. Perhaps all four clubs involved (Ayr, Partick, Morton, Falkirk) can agree with the SPFL to punt the Trust cup fixtures to some time in October, given the next round isn't till December 10th, and reschedule the league games to Thursday or Friday night 22/23 September. Bash some heads together, get the show back on the road FFS. Not sure if any players are away for international games though.
  5. Noticed Cove swapped the home and away dugouts for the Hamilton game. I take it Jim McIntyre didn't like being close to the away fans for the Ayr game? I see he didn't appreciate the comments from the home fans either (11:57)
  6. To be fair the missed chances continued into our first game v Arbroath, now looking like two points dropped.
  7. Three more games and we've played everyone, nothing much to fear so far, just ridiculously cramped seating.
  8. All that hassle getting a ticket online only to be told "we don't do scanning". Could have easily flashed last season's ticket at the turnstile bloke.
  9. If we're all in the stand then I assume those paying with cash at the turnstile receive a seat number in block F or G?
  10. Just bought a ticket as I don't fancy any ticket office nonsense especially if there are queues. The digital download didn't work on my phone so I did it on my laptop, downloaded the pdf then sent it to my email account. To see the digital ticket you have to select "Purchase History", then click on the Transaction ID for this game, then the View button. Then the "Mobile - PDF" button to get the digital ticket and save to your PC. It didn't work initially when I selected a seat in row A but just selected a random seat in row F and worked then. Looks like it doesn't remove seats that have been sold The digital tickets have worked before so no reason why not this time.
  11. We do, the new stall on the North Terrace did macaroni pies at the Hamilton game. I had one, nom nom.
  12. There was an error getting a ticket from the main stand then I noticed the option was "pick up from ticket office" when I tried again for the wee Dublin end. Last season the ticket was on the phone so not sure if thats just a default option and you always get a pdf to scan via the receipt. Think I'll leave it for now!
  13. The 1-1 game last March was a great atmosphere in the cowshed so obviously that had to be stopped. The website is allowing tickets for the wee Dublin End, although for the same £22 as the main stand.
  14. All future rounds of this cup are on weekends. After September the next round is on December 10th which appears to have been set aside for this competition as there are no league games scheduled. Three more rounds after that which would push league games to midweek. Its a recipe for fixture madness.
  15. I normally gorge on pies at the football on Saturdays but didn't on Friday night as I'd eaten beforehand. However I noticed that someone had erected a wedding reception style gazebo attached to the food stall, meaning people could queue in relative comfort instead of being shat on if it was raining, and could potentially attract more fans to the pie stall that might not normally bother because of the weather. Its that kind of simple commercial logic coming into the club that I love to see. We're definitely due some bad news soon.
  16. The timing of the off the field improvements couldn't be worse though. Just when we're ideally placed to attract new fans along comes war in Europe and Weimar style inflation!
  17. I see the squad and staff were at Hawkhill today having a laugh at the bowls. After the golf day it looks like they're making use of local sports facilities to promote a good atmosphere amongst the squad. Who knows, one day they'll maybe get good weather for it!
  18. Adeloye is not getting much game time at Swindon so far and their fans, like us, reckon they still need a striker.
  19. I shouldn't imagine much has changed since July 30th.
