  1. Someone needs to have a word with her (and most Democrat's, tbf) and explain that the Cold War ended a while ago. Also, Russia is way down the list of things that ordinary Americans worry about, so these deranged claims are not as impactful as they must sound in her head.
  2. So the same fate as those who didn't dodge the draft then.
  3. There's a good defender in there but he's like Derek Zoolander, literally can't turn left.
  4. Ipswich fans should start inhaling now for the massive BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO at the final whistle.
  5. Sounds like they need to come with a more efficient way to pack more insurances into shipping containers.
  6. It has all gone bonkers in the last 12-18 months. My van insurance went up 250% and my car insurance 70% Business & pet insurance also up about 40%. It's a massive racket.
  7. Last weekend while in a busy city centre pub with my wife, one which we have enjoyed for years for the good Saturday afternoon atmosphere, we caught ourselves commenting that it's always so fecking loud we have to shout at each other to be heard. We'll continue to tough it out until staying at home with a sherry becomes more appealing.
  8. Fun times when there's talk of conscription and being sent to the trenches in eastern Europe, which historically always ends well for everyone who gives it a bash. Still, at least that loony Corbyn didn't get in. Hopefully the days of an uninformed public being propagandized into supporting wars based on lies are far behind us, so it's unlikely the population would accept any attempt from the mob in charge to drag us into it. If we were invaded by a foreign force then I'm sure we'd all take up arms (golf clubs & hammers) to defend our families and property, but despite the EuRopE wIlL bE nExT stuff about Russia, there wont be a hostile force trying to swallow up the continent any time soon.
  9. A decade ago, I never thought I would be At 23, on the verge of spontaneous combustion, woe is me. But I guess that it comes with the territory An ominous landscape of never-ending calamity I need you to hear, I need you to see That I have had all I can take And exploding seems like a definite possibility to me So pardon me while I burst into flames I've had enough of the world and its people's mindless games.
  10. Who's this Kevin Da Broona chap the commentator keeps mentioning?
  11. Best league cup in the world.
  12. If I'd seen that quote without knowing where it came from, I'd have assumed it was Kamala Harris.
  13. What percentage of P&Bers are flat earthers?
  14. I think I'd take Kim Jong Un's anti-aircraft gun approach over any of Murica's current options.
  15. All those billions of American taxpayer dollars launched at Toyota Hiluxes in the desert since 2001 maybe taught them something after all.
  16. I work with nitrogen and carry it around in the van daily. If I were to asphyxiate myself with it (accidentally or otherwise), apparently as you say it'd be painless and pretty much like falling asleep. The other risk is the atmospheric concentration is such this it doesn't kill you, but starves your brain of oxygen and causes permanent damage. The yanks like to make a show of it, and no doubt victims' families etc would see being put to sleep permanently but peacefully as too light a punishment.
  17. US inmate faces first nitrogen execution. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-68089279 Leaving aside the capital punishment debate in general, how hard is it to kill someone 'humanely'? They've already botched an execution by lethal injection and have now come up with a new experimental way to do it. Why can't they just put people to sleep as if they're in for an op, up the dose a bit so they don't wake up? Bonkers country.
  18. I know the ETF buyers don't actually buy the bitcoin, but the fund itself needs to use the customer funds to buy it. Whether they need to buy 100% of the inflow value is another matter. I remember reading the silver market has something like 200 paper claims for each physical ounce. It'd be a bit of a farce if BTC went down this route.
  19. We went to a 'New England Style' seafood shack in Florida a few years ago called The Lahbstah Roll. Also worked with a guy from Boston a while back who I'm sure was very amused by my attempted Peter Griffin accent in his presence.
