Just signed a new 3 year contract a few weeks ago so would take big bucks for any team to tempt Elgin to let go of him. Still has the betting trial ongoing as well.

I would take a defensive midfielder but think a wingback/winger would be our priority on both sides given that these positions are occupied mainly by loanees with Nicholson at least, likely to return to his parent club.

If Dingwall had scored it might have been a different game. It might have encouraged Dumbarton to be a bit more expansive and opened up the game a bit, however Dumbarton sat in, defended well and hit us on the break and eventually dominated the game. Elgin as with Forfar a couple of weeks ago, cannot break down a team who sit in and the only tactic seems to be a few passes then launch it to Mchardy to knock down to Hester. The other go too is launch it over the top for Hester but not an option against a deep lying defence. We had nothing out wide to get behind their defence. As I have stated before our main concern is avoiding the relegation play off. Good crowd, good atmosphere, que Elgin not turning up.1 -
Looking forward to it. Should be a decent crowd so type of game we generally don’t turn up for. Happy with a draw. Hoping for better.

Having watched the highlights, Elgin must be extremely disappointed they didn’t win or at least take something from the game.

Our game plan is always to get the ball as much as possible to the current best striker in the league. Don’t see much wrong with that especially when you are a man short. When down to 10 men after 7 minutes, away from home, our only option is to get stuck in and make life as difficult as possible for the other team.

Basically he was poor. Offered very little no physicality or pace. In the end I think he had a difference of opinion with Price who probably called him out as a lazy player.

Things I picked up yesterday: McHardy is not a midfielder (always gives 100% tho), Antoniazzi is a poor man's Dingwall, Anderson has a phobia about playing a forward pass and Cairns isn't a RB.
It's in the past now, we can only go forward.
Cairns has played right back all his career. He was better than the alternatives they tried when he went off. Antoniazzi is a different type of player to Dingwall. Agreed he wasn’t great when he came on yesterday but least he played with his head up and managed a pass or two that reached his own teammates!

Well having seen Elgin -Forfar today I would say it would be more likely Forfar than Albion but would not rule out Elgin!

Elgin have history in not being able to break down a defence when playing against 10 men. Forfar were well organised and at half time I said to my fellow supporters the game would end 1.0. Elgin never looked like scoring and the final pass or cross was woeful. I can understand why Forfar are struggling and I would say it was the poorest Forfar team I have seen up here.This league is full of average or poor teams this year and in my view any team is capable of winning it or finishing bottom. Any team including Elgin should worry if they go on a bad run. It looks like Brechin will win the highland league and if they do I think they would beat the lowlandleague winners as that league looks weaker this year. A few interesting months ahead!

Two poor teams although conditions difficult. Clyde better first half, Elgin second. Penalties looked the only way either would score.
