Was talking to my dad today about the poor return from the Acadamey. We seam to have a power of nearly men. Andy Ryan, Jordan Kirkpatrick to name a few. They all seem to do well down a devision and when in the U20's, Brophy is fast falling into the category! My argument is that if we had a good first team coach or equivalent ( Alex Neil for the James) and a gaffer who could help get them to the level needed for the Top devision we would have a better return. Again this is my beef with the BOD that everything is a false economy. The BOD Say they we pump millions in the Acadamey them short change the good talent with a manager who has no experience or coaching badges and fails to get them to the next level. False economy as why waste the (reported) millions in the Acadamey and not just spend it on the first team. But hay this may be the very smoke screen needed for the BOD to be taking said money out the club . At least Watson had the balls to call it good business and still invested in the first team when taking his money out the club.
