  1. And the yellow cards keep on coming for us. One of them is more than likely to yet be a red, methinks.
  2. Anything but anything with Jim Spence's name to it should be avoided at all costs and should also come with a health warning. The man must have a first class degree in verbal diarrhoea!. Both spoken and written!
  3. Regarding the POY do. Some of you of a certain vintage will remember the guest speaker playing mainly for Motherwell through the 1980's. I've been to a couple of events where he was the guest speaker and he was really good. He was once voted best Scottish Sport after dinner speaker, so I'd imagine that his fee will be quite high and take a reasonable sized bite out of each £80 ticket. No John Gahagan and the briefs may well have been around the £65 mark. Just guessing on this figure though. On the plus side you'll get Graeme Kilgour for nowt!
  4. Mauling your mammaries is maybe a tad extreme but I ,and countless others, feel your frustration nonetheless!
  5. I wonder if the gaffer and/or Mickey were afforded the customary complimentary ticket to be able to watch the game and next week's opposition in action? Nah! I wouldnae think so either
  6. Is this classed as an operational issue?
  7. Haud me back! Jings! Crivvens! Help ma boab! A football club trying to maximise its income to make sure it doesn't go insolvent and into administration then shaft its creditors in the local community and beyond. And to try to get the local community to relate with and "buy" (not financially) into its local club. Whatever is the world coming to? Been plenty of good games on TV this season from Stark's Park or so I've been told by erse cheek supporters here in my part of the country.
  8. BBC News - Report calls for ban on artificial 3G sports pitches in Scotland - BBC News https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crg69wrp9y8o
  9. Get oot o' here! . That's far too sensible and rational for the rabid ramblings going on about this.
  10. Any indication of what size of a turnout Lewis got? I'm aware that a fair few folk bought tickets despite being unable to attend for a variety of reasons. Also, as long as everyone has come through the match injury free then it's a case of congratulations to everyone for your efforts both on and off the pitch.
  11. What's Lewis done to the Hibs for this score? We surely can't be this bad at the back, or maybe we are standing off to avoid picking up an injury
  12. Which would explain the mini scudding we seem to be on the end of. As long as everyone gets through this free of injury then the score is secondary by far.
  13. You're correct SG. Arbroath still sticks in the craw and the bad taste refuses to diminish
  14. A decent point away from home against a very much improved team and whilst it's maybe a slightly disappointing final score, in the end, if you're not going to win then make sure that you aren't beaten.
  15. We seem to be having a real struggle to create clear goal scoring opportunities. Maybe the introduction now of Hamilton can create some?
  16. Reminds me of the days of the evening sport's papers when a game was reported in the present tense and I'm sure that the copy typist put in on purpose that "whoever" let's fly with a great shit which screams just over the keeper and the bar. Sometimes you still pine for such gems from the Sporting Post and other cities' Saturday evening sports publications.
  17. I was thinking that we might have a chance in this one until I saw the team selection. That defence is going to be under an awful lot of pressure all match especially around the right back position.
  18. Nice to know that Mystic Meg is still alive and well and in our midst. Tonight's lottery numbers please whilst you're in the prediction mood
  19. We've already done that by sookin' all the points available from you this season. Just sayin' likes.
  20. From a Rover's fan, in with the bricks, for over 65 years I agree totally with your observations. Ca' canny wi' the drink. On second thoughts dinnae bother. It's a well deserved celebration.
