  1. Yip, just saw that mate. Here is the link if folks want a read/for their records: https://spfl.co.uk/news/press-release-record-prize-money-for-viaplay-cup
  2. That is decent. You would imagine the TV would take say 1000 off the gate of what there may have been without TV. So at 15 quid a ticket this covers that. Although saying that, likely cheap tickets and first competitive game after the summer. A derby, Pars on a promotion bounce and our club having a takeover feel good bounce, crowd might be very good anyway, regardless of TV.
  3. QP announced that they are playing at Hampden again. I posted it on their thread but I will post my views here (as I know Pie and Bovril is read and the board are aware of fans views, and also many folks on here are part of the fans groups that communicate with the club. I think this is the thin edge of the wedge and needs to be stopped from becoming the norm. It would allow QP, if ever promoted into the Prem to likely average the 6th minimum (maybe higher?) highest attendances every year due to away gates. They could effectively cement their selves there, unfairly. Hope the Rovers and other clubs take this seriously and move to prevent this. Post: To be honest this is full bullshit. If Lesser is OK for games before September, it should be used all season. It sets a shite precedent that 'renting' big stadiums is OK if you want to increase a crowd. If QP get through the league cup and draw one of the Bigot Brothers at home they will get a massive pay day which is fully unfair (50k crowd at £20 a ticket is 1 million pounds) Next time the Rovers draw one of the Bigots at home in the cup, shall we just 'rent' Hampden (or better yet, Celtic park) for the day and cash in 50/60k ticket sales? Does this mean if QP ever get to the premier league they have the option of doing this every big game they want? I like watching the Rovers play at Hampden, and living in Battlefield, I am glad that QP will be playing in Mount Florida. I was also gutted that I might miss out on getting a ticket for Lesser due to capacity, too. So getting to the games next year is something I am grateful for. But QP are no longer an amateur, 4th tier side. They are ambitious, with big money backers and trying to get promoted to the premier league. To me they should not be treated in 'cuddly' fashion and I would hope Championship/League 1 and (any team that can be relegated from the top flight - so 10/12) should be against this. And making sure it doesn't become a habit.

  5. Just renewed there now after having downloaded the app. I was a straight renewal, with no kids etc. and was really straightforward. Having the ticket as an app/in Apple Wallet is also really handy. Absolutely buzzing for the season ahead. Canny believe the championship is still technically not finished yet until Sunday League Cup fixtures out next week on the 8th of June.
  6. That’s an excellent read and done a good job of alleviating a decent chunk of the fear about the timings of these games. This double header is such a massive opportunity to really grab hold of qualification. Good to see the players and staff seem To fully realise it. Buzzing for the games now.
  7. Ah that’s shite folks, horrible position to be in with your home ground. Cannot believe these things are not known/communicated to the fans, crazy! Thanks for the responses though!
  8. I know you folks are probably sick to death of the question, but I was looking back a few pages at the stadium chat. I also live in battlefield/Cathcart and walked past Lesser a few days back. I saw the ground a few months ago walking to watch Scotland t but didn’t take it in fully as I was pished. But it really does look too small (even the royal box seems too small to host sizeable hospitality!). A couple of questions if folks would be so kind?: Is there a terrace going in behind the goal? What is the overall capacity going to be? What is the likely away allocation (is there a % that must be given for league games etc.)? I loved going to watch the Rovers at Hampden. And where I live look forward to the ‘away trip’ next year. But really hope all the boys I go with will get a ticket!
  9. Will need to see it again but looked like the defender knocked his leg off line and basically tripped him.
  10. Stonewaller shirly!? What’s happened there!
  11. The main thing from this first half though is that no one has died. That’s the relevant fact of the game that the Bairns need to focus on.
  12. Real being underdogs to win, in Madrid, seems highly generous. 11/5 on Sky. Hala Madrid
  13. Aye, seems poor planning to have started selling tickets right next to each other based on likelihood of selling out the allocations. Surely would have made sense to keep the 2/3 nearest the middle for the Rovers to spill over if needed. Shame that some fans will miss out. But good to have the sections we got full. Should be a good atmosphere. Also its great to see how much the fan base has reconnected after McGlynn and co fucked us over. Think last year we only had about 2.3k sold by kick off! Looking forward to the day out!
  14. Aye really disappointing. Football is all about memories and the draw was opening up - a real chance of a trip to Hampden and a potential semi against a non 'top 6' (or even top flight!) club. The fact its going to make us a fair whack is a silver lining. Hopefully use it to tie down players and recruit well. So maybe the 'memories' can be made next year... but aye, shite.
  15. Don’t think the second goal is anywhere near a foul tbh. If McDonald did that and got a free kick I’d be looking at the boys next to me laughing that we got away with it. Proper mistake from the goalie and punished. Also, I love the Rovers.
  16. Mother ‘no taken it well’ Boys on the walk from the ground GET DOON More seriously, away support was great today in the context of how shite that team is. Hard to see how they don’t drop. For the Rovers, huge win and a good looking amount of beatable sides in next round. Couldn’t ask for more! Canny wait to get (even more) pished!
  17. I’ve got through from Glasgow to Kirkcaldy this morning on the train. Edinburgh was where the problems started for me. Lots of cancellations and the ones running are running about 20 mins late. Problem is the bridge apparently. They are only using one side of it because a track issue on the other side). So trains being let across one at a time. This will be the situation all day according to the guard.
  18. Looking at the Motherwell tickets it looks like we have not given over the lower blocks (the ones if you come out the stairs and go down). I think without the lower section that stand holds about 2500/2600 - so looks like about 2k sold which is great. Hopefully the rest get shifted and they do get to 2500ish. Harder to tell with our own tickets being more spread out. Doesn't look fantastic at the moment though. Hopefully there are a lot of folks going to sort it out today and before the game.
