  1. Aye that’s a proper elite level touch and finish. Unreal from LV10
  2. Assuming this is for me Living in battlefield I just had to brave a treacherous 15 minute change at Central.
  3. Just down in Prestwick now and it’s a cracking day. Mild, bright and barely any wind. If the pitch is good its about is good is it gets in February for football. Big game for the Rovers to try and build some momentum and really put the pressure on Yinited.
  4. Weekend is kept free for Scottish cup fifth round. Our only game to catch up with is Partick away (postponed because we are in the Challenge Cup SF), but they are still in the cup so we will have a free week.
  5. Aye it’s difficult to say. But I‘m not too sure mate on the 800odd. Money really bites in Jan. 6 in our usual group, 3 made Arbroath, just me today! Also not an attractive ‘away day’ for pubs etc. Hopefully still a good 5-600 though and a noisy support. Big game today, come on min!
  6. Aye, it will be interesting to see how we handle now being properly ahead. Brings a different type of pressure and hope the crowd can stay patient if need be (its likely DU will be ahead and in cruise control nice and early, too). Regardless, buzzing for the game. Its absolutely brilliant watching this Rovers team and canny wait for some pre game pints with the boys. C'mon min!
  7. On the standing/seats discussion, for me it was a rare, rare occasion (for us) where an away end is jam packed and sold out. The ridiculous seats opening in drips and drabs policy meant loads of folks struggled to by tickets together and the young boys and others who like to stand couldn't organise and do so. Add to this that the Shed is not a 'modern' stand and there are loads of restricted views. All of this combined to make it a very unusual away end where loads of folks were in the wrong seats and there was no wiggle room for folks to gather and stand in an area that didn't impact people who definitely wanted to sit. I had a couple of folks literally screaming at me (in a highly aggressive fashion) and others to sit down, when there was literally hundreds standing in front (for what its worth, I prefer to stand so was please with this but that is by the by). We also had a big group in our seats when we arrived at 2:55, meaning we had to take seats not ours just next to them. If folk wish to confront randoms and ask them to move, or tell hundreds of folk to sit down, fair enough. But its not something I'll do, as there is always a risk it kicks off. I appreciate some people can't stand and I appreciate it is not ideal for wee kids. That said, I think we have to just acknowledge it was caused by a rare combination of circumstances that have not been common previously and won't be in the future. I think the folk who lost the run of themselves should have been a bit more understanding of this. If the league is still close by the next time we are up there and are selling out again, I would hope that: a) Dundee United open the whole thing at once b) The young team make clear where they are going c) regardless, folks that absolutely need to sit down select the front seats off to the far side and get there early, to ensure that regardless of what others do, they can sit and see the game if they want.
  8. A fair few ‘aye but the league is shite tbf’ comments, which I think misses how much of a fucking minter the general interview was. But on the point about the league, shite compared to what? It’s much better than hundreds of leagues globally. Shite value for money? If you compare the money available to clubs elsewhere, is the league ‘shite’? Are teams miles off where they should be on these budgets? I wouldn’t say so. For countries of similar size it seems pretty good to me. Attended brilliantly, too. Aye the old firm size differential is a problem for the overall league competitiveness. But that’s not the point being made here. Adams is roaster, always has been and this is another cracker in a long line.
  9. Beat me too it Yip, away sides alllllways get everything at Celtic park…
  10. Perhaps I had the wrong player, but should Sibbald not have walked as well? Was on a booking, had another foul in the first half and then second half had the classic ‘take one for the team stop the break’ tackles that is a stick on yellow. Also Vaughan’s booking for bullying poor wee Dec Gallagher 30 seconds after Moult caught Brown in the face with just a free kick
  11. Murray’s post game interview suggesting E Murray and Hamilton should be fine for Saturday. So other than Watson, full squad (barring any fuckery in the next few days). Brilliant win tonight to really shift the pressure of the game on to United. Buzzing for the day out with the boys as always and looking forward to a big noisy away support. Shed will likely be sold out by Saturday, question is whether they will open the Fair Play for any spillover? Either way, atmosphere will be class and should be some game. Come on!!
  12. Poorest we have been since Airdrie and looked liked getting no more than a draw all day. Arbroath didn’t make Kev make a save I don’t think (?) and never felt we were going to lose but just couldn’t see a goal coming. I thought between our goal and the penalty we really took control and started passing it. Unfortunately, as soon as the penalty went in we stopped playing. What a fucking win though Aways feel it’s hard to play our game properly there, pitch is uneven and it was heavy tonight. Wind picked up second half too which didn’t help. So any three points up there are tough to collect… Hopefully it’s 40 mph wind on Jan the 2nd… What a man LV10 is Cannot wait for Saturday. C’mon the fucking Rovers!
  13. Anyone else having a problem with the ticket purchasing? Entering all the details and going to 'check out' and keep getting a 'select email tickets' instruction (it was selected!). Edit - for Tannadice
  14. Aye was just coming to post this. I have to get the train back to Queen Street after ‘home’ games - from Starks fans can make the 22:06 from Kirkcaldy
  15. Buzzing for this, got a half day lined up so looking forward to a afternoon session before the game. Tough game and could go either way. But this is a massive chance for the Rovers in the next few days to get a firm grip on second - and Murray and the players will know it. A win on Friday followed by a win on Wednesday up in Arbroath and we will be 11 points clear of Partick with the same games played. Two losses and its 2 points! Millen, Murray and Brown hopefully all back in. Hoping we have enough. COYR
  16. This seems to have went under the radar a touch. I think it seems like a disaster for us if the Premiership is our ambition soon (which it is and should be). The pitch is crucial to our 'community club' model, connecting hundreds of families and young kids to the club in the most clear and powerful fashion: getting them coming down to the stadium regularly and having the (amazing!) experience of being on the pitch in a real stadium. It also make Starks the hub for the Rovers, from first team training to all the community activities. In addition, not only would we need to now train elsewhere (back to the Michael Woods?) with all the costs that would bring, we would have the expensive reintroduction and upkeep of a grass park - and it will be shite for a majority of months (because its Scotland and we won't throw daft money at it!) making the football worse and bringing postponements more often. Ideally there would be a rule about 'elite' non-grass parks being allowed. But I doubt that as the big clubs in the top flight want grass in all games, and do not care if it will impact our entire model. Perhaps I am over reacting here but to me this is big, big problem for the medium/long term strategy and seems like a fucker for the (vital) strategies we have of connecting with the town and growing the support back up again.
  17. Watching the highlights and it looks like a penalty in the first half for the barge on O’Riley. Also don’t think the ball crossed the line, think it’s the keeper that is in the net. Tremendous bit of class from LV10 for the equaliser and Stanton as usual being so quick on everything and drawing a clear foul. What a pen from Hammer as well. Hit it so confidently. Thank f**k the ridiculous hoodoo is fully in the bin now. Enjoy your nights ladies and gents!
  18. I'm downed with a shocker of a cold so plans to travel have been binned, unfortunately. Although I still think the game will really be struggling to go ahead with the weather. I appreciate a postponement gives a chance for a wee bit of recovery (and I'd rather be missing Millen for Partick at Home rather than ICT away), but still being in the Scottish Cup and the Diddy Cup means we could do without a cancellation and a fixture pile up. Think it will be off, hope its on, hope we win.
  19. Is this just an assumption or do you know this for certain? Do ICT always use this when the cold bites? (I was under the impression most clubs stopped using their undersoil heating when in the championship due to costs).
  20. I see the forecast is for -2/3 over night until the weekend and not getting to high above 0 during the day. I assume this means the pitch is a major doubt? Are they likely to make the call Friday night?
  21. Hi folks, Got a spare ticket for tomorrow. Face value £30. North stand, about in line with the edge of the box west stand side, 2/3 way up stand. Give me a shout via pm if your interested
