  1. I think a lot of people read it like that! It's a stretch but nowhere near as mental as saying we'll Leicester the Premiership.
  2. Again I read that more as the turnaround from absolutely certain relegation to Champions in 16 months as a miracle. St Mirren winning the league as probably the 3rd or so biggest budget in the league isn't quite so incredible.
  3. To be fair, the headlines don't do his quotes justice. His actual comments are fair, along the lines of; We're a small club, and Leicester are an inspiration. Why can't small clubs compete with the bigger clubs? Surely we've got to try? The tone and sentiment really isn't all that different to what Jack Ross said about emulating Motherwell and St Johnstone. I don't see anyone cracking up about the fact he's suggested we could finish second behind Celtic and be in Europe! He's obviously not saying we will do that but you've got to be ambitious - settling for not getting relegated is shite.
  4. Maybe I'm mistaken, I was under the impression that Morton fans would still be able to get tickets at the ticket booth on the day and then scan it at the turnstiles? I'd double check out both club websites if your keen! Also nice to see Jack Ross being ambitious for next season. I'm not expecting a top six finish or anything like that, but I'd like to see us at least try. We really stagnated last time we were in the Premiership, especially after the cup win. We did get our highest SPL era finish of 8th, but from memory there was a bawhair between 8th and 11th that year.
  5. I bet you're the type of guy who moans when they pass it back to the keeper at 60 mins while 2-0 up.
  6. Excited for all the 'we didn't want him anyway' back peddling now.
  7. Thought I'd chime in, I work for a Civil Engineering consultancy and this isn't as unreasonable as it seems. Even the 'feasability' stage will involve some fairly detailed design (estimate member sizes, volume of concrete, etc) which could take a year of work for a very large team for a football stadium who obviously all need paid for their work. £3 million is high (guessing what stage they're at I would estimate half that would be more like it) but not totally unreasonable. Unfortunately things do just cost a lot of money.
  8. Got a mate who supports Alloa. Never made it to the recs for a game so excited for that. If nothing else, I've heard there's a KFC...
  9. Who actually listens to sportsound anyway, unless your own team is being covered and you can't make the game and it's not on TV? I quite like Jim Spence, his twitter is decent at least. Always bigging up the smaller clubs and barely conceals his contempt for the old firm. He does love United though but at least he doesn't try to hide it and isn't particularly biased about them anyway.
  10. I'll miss him! Fair play to him getting his big move. We'd all assumed he'd be off to Engerland in the summer, was magic keeping him for half a season.
