  1. I also came late to the meeting last Saturday and a point I picked up was that the planning application would be for a 4000 seat stadium, but all the stands may not be in the initial build. We could end up with a single stand like present as I cannot see us coming anywhere near filling all the stands. Another point that was stated that 200 local clubs would be interested in the new facility. I am not from the Dumbarton area but I find the number of 200 clubs a bit far fetched. This Saturday I would prefer the meeting goes ahead with Brabco’s PR machine being there as I think a more meaningful discussion of the fans’ points of view would hopefully forthcoming. Lastly I wonder how many of the card were filled in. There appeared to be a lot still on the tables at full time that has not been completed.
  2. I am sure when Chic Young was commenting on the sending off in the St Mirren Dumbarton game he referred to Sam Wardrop as Sam Wardrobe as the player being injured. He managed to get the Cypriot player’s name right, but then again he is a St Mirren supporter
  3. Sat with him in the bar before the game and had great chat. He sits behind me and we have good banter during the game. He will be sadly missed. His son plans to be there for the final home game. So sad and I will miss him. Football comes second when a tragedy like this happens.
  4. Personally I think it would be a complete waste of money bringing him back. Don't believe he is fit hence his contract at Stranraer was terminated by mutual agreement. Much better bringing in some other fitter players if they are available
  5. I think the booing was more out of frustration rather than at the team.As stated before Craig doesn't look interetsed. I would give McCallum a start from the beginning next week. He was more lively in his 10 minutes than Craig was in 80 minutes. Don't know why Taggart and Cawley were dropped as I have thought they both played well. We just need to get behind the team. Thankfully we won our first two games which we were expected to lose. Falkirk thought we were worth a draw and yesterday we should have won it. It is fun being a Son's supporter.
  6. Just seen that Turner is out for 6 weeks. Gutted for him
  7. Unfortunately we have another two matches against the Rangers and all the baggage that their fans bring. As they are now in the championship for the second year running will the police downgrade their games to normal rather than category A. The same should apply to Hibs (no trouble from them)
  8. Why don't me, Son of a Bankie and Third Rock from the Sun and the lady that sits with us forming a management team. I am sure we would get great odds
  9. All this speculation about who is going and who is staying is a waste of time. It is down to the manager to make the call.
  10. Sally will need to get rid of some of the oldies in his current team so he can use the money raised as it clearly states the money is going to youth development.
  11. Son of a Bankie you did nothing wrong. We celebrated when our keeper saved a very soft penalty and I think the Sevco scum took exception to it. When they scored there was no need for him to thrust his fist in your direcction. - he should have celebrated the goal end of story. Those of us who sit beside you know that is not in your nature to react like that. If I was sitting in your seat I would have reacted in a similar manner. The guy sitting next me said the same. I think the club needs to review the seating arrangements for those in hospitality so that an incident like this does not happen again. Those of us who now your medical background were concerned for your health and calmed you down. To reiterate you did nothing wrong.
  12. Do you mean straight into the Leven - that would certainly get rid of them never to darken our stadium again.
  13. Why if the EBTs have been classed as loans has the club not asked for the money back - that way they would have millions in the bank.
  14. Is Russell at the Commonwealth Diving pool in Edinburgh representing Scotland?
  15. Messi has signed a new deal with Barcelona. That's ruled him out for signing for us - at least for a few years.
  16. Prunty to come on as a sub when we play Sevco (assuming they are still around) and score a superb overhead kick to win the game for us. I am sure he will do more in the background - perhaps with a view to coaching. Happy that him and Gils have signed up. Hopefully more of the squad will do so.
  17. Really good news for us. Hopefully some decent signings will come our way as we are a club with ambition.
  18. Your patter and terrible jokes are good as well
  19. very well but Morton did no pose much of a threat to him
