I look very much like my grandfather. When he was my age - but he was thinner than me.

Whatever you do, don't reveal the make of your new car to the P&B masses. I speak from recent experience! -
Petty Things That Get On Your Nerves...

I remember seeing Bob Monkhouse tell this story. Another one was that a guy was doing the aiming (left a bit..right a bit) and was miles off target. Bob stopped and asked the guy what he could see. Nothing, was the answer, as his TV had been repossessed the week before. He was just firing blind. -

She lasted 2 days. Rick Berman went to sack her as she was just terrible, but before he said anything, she quit. Anyway, here is how much they got. -

This is kind of the point I make about the Beatles. Somehow it got attached to the narrative that they transformed music, that everything that came after them was because of them. Nothing like good PR! Beatles were basically the Take That of the 60s. -

The Ionian Mission by Patrick O'Brian. Best series I have read in years. Individual books are kind of meaningless, just a massive story.

Lawrence Stroll will pay anything for him. He wants to build the F1 version of the Galacticos...and his kid.

Mental remembering this. I was at a meeting literally across the road. Left and went home, zero drama, and watching the news at night realising how near I was, and the fact that if I had left my meeting later I might have seen some emergency services. If i remember right he was imbibing bullets just as I was getting set to go. Tldr, I fled the scene of a murder and the five-oh never caught up with me.

Used to do a bit of work there. I was across the road when a guy was shot dead at the Asda.

Malta was horrendous. I once stopped at a busy roundabout and the cars behind me started beeping. In Malta you just dive in and expect others to make space. In the UK, Welsh drivers are the worst.

Infuriating Things Your Partner Does

Picked up the death trap now. Said a sad farewell to my faithful Duster. Anyway, it's a Crossland SE. 11,000 miles. The old boy (I'm assuming he is old based on mileage) who had it before me seems to have taken it to Evans Halshaw in Falkirk for an annual service, and they fleeced him every time. After one year he had done less than 6,000 miles and they got him to change all 4 tyres. -
We were Mr, Mrs, Miss [name]. When I was in 6th year I went to the pub in Alloa, clearly only 17 but tall so got away with it. Bumped into my old history teacher and spent the night calling him David. he never grassed me up. My older siblings often drank with him too. He is buried near my uncle - I always say hello when at the cemetery. Wouldn't do that for "Sir".
