What were ST's this season, £280? or is the increase just for the new stand?
New stand is £325 and non new stand ST is £300

5-0 and we could and should have scored more with the 2 chances Dowds had in the second half. We didn’t play brilliantly either but deary me Arbroath are a shadow of the team they’ve been previously.

Both soft but both fouls in the box and therefore spot kicks correctly awarded. First one was clearly in the box from the view I have in the family stand.

Will there be a chance for match to match punters to get in the new stand next season or will most of the seats be taken by season tickets? Will the price for the seats in the new stand be the same price as standing on the terrace?

Of course we've had a very good season so far:- Arguably the smallest budget in the league, years languishing in league one and so far last 16 of the League and Scottish Cups, skirting in and close to the play offs, winning the challenge cup. I would agree with you that by your standards Ayr should be doing better, by our standards yes disappointed by some of the results and performances but in our past and current position we have made a good fist of it this season.
FWIW think your new stand will look quite tidy when it's complete. Is the plan to have the whole of the seated and standing section for home fans only...what will happen if you are facing a big traveling support (supposing you get promoted?) - will they not have access beyond the corner of the existing away end terracing?
Ideally the new stand will be home support only but the segregation fence on the terrace is still there. I think they’ll be able to flex the new stand depending on the away support although personally I’d prefer it to be home fans only. Plenty of space behind the goals and in the corner of the main stand for away fans.

It’s McKenzie and Bryden on the wings isn’t it?

Big result for Airdrie tonight. This league is bonkers, I thought they were on the slide after we played them but if they win their game in hand their 4th

Nathan McGinley. Ex Motherwell left back/centre back. Was on loan at Thistle earlier this season but didn’t make any appearances due to injury.
As a stop gap it’s fine. Worse case scenario he’s a back up for Musonda who’s been fine there.
Just checked in with my Motherwell supporting mate, said this is probably his level, had a load of personal issues and hasn’t really kicked a ball in the last 12 months or so. Doesn’t sound like a rave review but he’ll hopefully do a job.

There'll be a reason he wasn't playing today. Safe to assume that's him done at the club.
Aye we won’t see him in an Ayr shirt again now.

We really needed signings that were able to come straight into the starting side and improve it, we quite clearly haven’t got that given their lack of game time so it is disappointing.
I think there is an argument that we have actually weakened squad wise, marginally stronger at best.
100% agree, the squad isn’t any stronger at all. I’d hoped we’d have brought in at least 1 other starter of reasonable quality. Outside of Murphy and Chalmers who were both poor today there’s zero creativity in that squad.
I actually thought we really missed Reading today, relying on Mousunda to provide width down the left was never going to work.

I didn’t see any of the second half as the stream went to shit, thankfully can make it along on Tuesday.
Yeah - regardless of his poor Chalmers is playing I still wouldn’t be taking him off when we need a goal. Particularly as we have nothing to replace him with.
How were Willoughby and McHugh?
McHugh looked ok when he came on but not really enough time to tell. I’m not sure about Willoughby to be honest. So far I think we’d have been better keeping Rose. Again a bit early to tell.

How was the goalkeeper?
Fine IMO, thought he could have maybe come for the cross for the first goal but it was a good ball by Mullin. Made one good save in the second half and a number of others you’d expect any keeper to make.

We struggled all game to break Raith down. I thought their press was very good and a fantastic finish from Vaughn for the second (gutting time to lose a goal).
McGinty unlucky with the header off the bar in the second half but that was about it for us.
Results elsewhere went our way at least.
Edit - thought we really missed Reading as left wing back today.

Just down in Prestwick now and it’s a cracking day. Mild, bright and barely any wind. If the pitch is good its about is good is it gets in February for football.
Big game for the Rovers to try and build some momentum and really put the pressure on Yinited.
Pitch is in great condition. Hopefully should be a cracking game.

I think their pitch is also used for rugby.
Oh really, I knew warriors used to play there a few years ago but didn’t realise it was still being used for rugby?

Watching the Partick v Dunfermline game and the pitch looks terrible! Makes you realise how good our new pitch is especially for this time of year.

Aye, the big man was imperious. I loved him encouraging the fans to get behind the team. That's been one of the best atmospheres in a long time. The drum helped as well.
Yeah I loved that from Sean throughout the game. Helped worked the crowd and the drum was good. Big cheer for his triple block in the second half too.

If Syla is fit (no idea if he will be) I’d be tempted to play 451 with Willoughby up front.

Stanger
Sanders
McGinty
Mousanda
Chalmers
Syla
Dempsey
McHugh
Murphy
