  1. I think I got it from Transfermarkt, otherwise I quite possibly made it up. Thanks for the info!
  2. We've signed Andrew Tod on loan from Dunfermline. Central midfielder who's just turned 17 so very young. He's played a few games off the bench for them this season.
  3. Given how bad we've been of late that was a real shock. Fair play to the manager and players, there is still a chance of making the play offs but we have to keep picking up results like that.
  4. Not much to get excited about Elgin right now. Must be the most out of form team in the league and the last two games were particularly shocking. An 8 hour round trip to play top of the league is not going to produce much enthusiasm.
  5. I try not to listen any more as it's gone from pretty shite to something much, much worse than that. One thing I have noticed though is that Rory Loy has become much more shouty and aggressive than when he first started. Might be that working with MacIntyre is too much for him, or that he's in a permanent state of rage about VAR like the rest of them seem to be.
  6. Don't like saying it as I like him as a person but that two year deal for Gav is starting to looking a bit daft. I think 7th is a pretty fair reflection of how we've performed this season, other than a good spell in September/early October it's been pretty mediocre. The tactic of lump it towards Hester and hope he produces some magic is getting particularly tiresome but I don't think our centre backs (who are both good at defending IMO) are composed enough to play out from the back like we've done successfully in the past.
  7. That Drumchapel mob are one of the strangest clubs I've seen Elgin play. A lot of the fans seemed to only know the players by number and the entire club were convinced that a frozen pitch after a week of sub-zero temperatures could only be a conspiracy. Half of the mutant fans were wearing old firm jackets and hats too.
  8. 16 year old Alfie Bavidge made his Aberdeen debut at the weekend, Rory MacLeod and Ryan One playing regularly in the Premiership and Championship respectively at the same age. Josh O'Connor has played a couple of games for Hibs recently and his strike partner at youth level Ethan Laidlaw sounded like he had a great performance against Dortmund last night. Rory Wilson always pops up in these conversations and 15 year old Lewis Pirie of Aberdeen is being linked with a lot of big clubs. All very much prospects at the moment and I'm sure many will end up playing part time football rather than in the Champions League but hopefully a few of them can go on to have decent careers.
  9. The pressure is off us at least and it's a break from our pretty miserable league run. Being without the cup-tied January signings is a blow.
  10. Better to learn playing with and against more experienced players than just against them. There isn't enough depth in Scottish rugby to put out two competitive u20 squads at Super 6 level. The SRU do need to get more youngsters playing regularly in Super 6 but it is definitely up on last year and it showed tonight.
  11. Pretty much the Scotland team I'd have asked for. Not sold on White but his form (like Horne) has seemingly been good so makes sense to pick those two given Price hasn't been great.
  12. Surprised he has got a move up the way tbh, but he did show flashes of talent and seems to have done pretty well at Rothes. Elgin were poor last season so it wasn't a great team to come in to and he's younger than I thought so could be a reasonable signing.
  13. I've rarely watched as exciting a team as this Napoli side. Hopefully they have the Scudetto wrapped up so early they can focus on having a real go at the Champions League.
  14. Planning on going to Inverurie v the Broch on Saturday. Best pubs for a pint or two beforehand?
  15. Job done. Really should've made it more comfortable but the quality of finishing and final ball was poor. Dylan Lawrence is a really fun wee player, hopefully he can progress and hang around.
  16. Drumchapel seem to have a lot to say about our handling of the pitch so hope we take note of the game last night and get them pumped.
  17. Tuipulotu has been incredible recently. I was far from the only one who thought he was a decent Glasgow player and not much more for a while but he was excellent in the last two Scotland games and has carried it on with some remarkable form since.
  18. Feels very City to be 3rd and yet most fans are fairly meh about our team. Probably due to the nature of the division at the moment but still, things aren't great.
  19. Aye, I could see it definitely. As you say his next move would need to work out but like Stewart he has handled every step up well so far.
  20. Good to have Towler back on loan to replace the left backs that departed, I thought he was decent last year and McHardy is too slow to play there for me.
  21. Good to see Nisbet back in form and Shankland having his best season to date. Neither will be a major contributor for Scotland you wouldn't think but it's good to have options behind Dykes, Adams and Stewart because for a while there was very little.
  22. Caught up on the game yesterday and think it's got to be the best I've seen Glasgow play since the run in of the 2018/19 season. Outstanding to a man and playing some scintillating rugby just now. I'm reluctant to say they're back just yet, but the signs are very promising.
  23. Brian Cameron made his Elgin debut at 16 and played his 500th game for the club the other week. 84 goals, mostly from central midfield. Apparently he's turned down numerous offers from full time clubs over the years. Hopefully plenty more games and goals to come as he's only 31.
