  1. I rate him too though I know some fans aren't that keen. Despite looking like a child he's not afraid to get stuck in and once he presumably grows a few inches and fills out a bit he'll compete really well with most opponents. Technically he's pretty good too.
  2. Rory Wilson being linked with Leipzig and Inter.
  3. Yeah I'd be tempted, I like Bray but think two proper wingers would give us a bit threat more in the final third which I thought we missed without Dayshonne last weekend. All 3 are decent options though and I'd be happy with any starting.
  4. Someone on here reckoned 3 weeks as of last weekend so I'd be surprissed if he's involved here.
  5. It's been a while since I've been to Methil, looking forward to it. I do fear we lack attacking threat without Golding. I'd be tempted to bring in Taylor for Jeffreys and have two proper wingers to offer a bit more pace and direct dribbling. East Fife were rotten when we last played but it's unsurprising how quick an impact Campbell has had. I'd be happy with a draw.
  6. The conditions made for a pretty uneventful game and a draw was pretty reflective. I agree Bray made a difference and as mentioned Booth is class. I really hope Golding is back next week as without him we were a bit lacking up front.
  7. I know it's not the done thing to talk up a Scot Gemmill side but we look really good here. Very impressed with Bowie. And to think Doak is injured!
  8. I would agree MacLeman has been unfortunate not to play more recently, he was our best midfielder in the first half of the season. His week or two back at County before signing permanently coincided with the arrival of numerous players in his positions and an upturn in form of the team, plus Dingwall getting back to fitness and Soapy looking more like his old self. He's still young and should be a good player for us in the future.
  9. A couple of months ago most would have predicted this to be a massive game between two teams battling relegation. Now both teams will see it às an opportunity to give themselves a good chance of finishing in the top half. These fixtures have ɓeen tight and low scoring over the last couple of years, however both have improved a lot even since the last meeting in January. Elgin have good options in most positions just now and though I don't think Hale will change much after two wins in a row, it's nice to have players who can make a difference off the bench.
  10. Another great result yesterday that really eases worries about relegation. If we can win our next two games (no easy task against two of the form teams of the division) we'd go up to 5th which would be a real testament to Hale and the job he has done. It's a shame he didn't come in slightly sooner or we could be in with a chance of making the play offs.
  11. I liked the look of Jeffreys last week, but not sure it's worth pushing Russell out wide to accommadate him. Not sure if Taylor or Dolzanski are available but I've been happy with the team as it is. Predicting results in this league is becoming near enough impossible, but given our away record and the particularly long journey I'd be happy with a point. Especially as it would mean at least two teams below us couldn't gain any ground.
  12. Another game we made more difficult than it needed to be by not taking our chances. First half Bonnyrigg looked quite dangerous at times but second we were dominant with the wind behind and Dayshonne causing them constant problems. Jeffreys looks a very tidy player and adds to what must be one of the most composed sides on the ball in the league just now. Booth was really good again. Reminds me a bit of Archie Macphee as a left back in that his confidence will sometimes cause him to overplay, but overall it's worth it. He won a lot of headers against much bigger opponents too. Pleased for Dangana getting man of the match though. Thought he had Mailer on toast for most of it and took his goal brilliantly. Plenty big games still to come, with the next few being a real chance to climb the table further. With the way Hale has us playing I think we've got a good chance of doing that.
  13. Some game at Dyce tonight. Cracking goals, huge turnaround and a decent crowd. Just a shame it was bloody freezing. Hermes were playing some lovely stuff at 2-0 then collapsed as soon as they conceded the first. I was very impressed with the big striker for Dyce who got an impressive hat trick, but while he was missing for much of the second half, the boy Gafar for Hermes was the star for a masterclass in the first half. Hard to believe he is only 17 and I'd expect he'll be playing Highland League or higher pretty soon.
  14. I'm still confident that we're good enough to pull away from the bottom, but another disappointing result or two and we'll back in trouble. A win on Saturday would be a big boost as we'd overtake Bonnyrigg as well as either overtaking Forfar or pulling away from Clyde.
  15. Disappointed I can't make this. Now we've finally ended our winless streak (in the league) v Peterhead I give us a good chance of taking something here. I agree with the suggested lineup. Draper has been excellent recently but Ewan was extremely unlucky to be dropped and should slot back in just fine if required. I bumped into David Wilson a few weeks ago. I (slightly drunkenly) told him we were gonna pump them tomorrow so don't let me down please Elgin.
  16. I notice Ben Barron has got 8 goals in his 5 games on loan at Nairn so far. Obviously it's a weaker league but still impressive for a guy who only recently turned 19, which I think people sometimes forget because he's got the build of someone much older. If he carries on scoring like that he'll be very confident of coming back and making more of an impact next season.
  17. 791 the crowd, shows people will come watch when we're playing well.
  18. I fancied us today so a wee bit disappointed not to win it, especially after that first half performance. Can't fault the players much as I thought we played pretty well and showed real hunger at times to win the 50/50s. Thought that was Gallagher's worst performance that I've seen for us but he still dominated the midfield battle. Shows how wild the middle of this league is that at half time we were 5th (and seriously starting to consider the possibility of catching Dumbarton), spent most of the second half in 9th then by full time in the other games we are 7th.
  19. Only disappointment is we're not out of sight. Completely dominated every area in that half.
  20. Alfie Bavidge looks like he could be quite a player. Hat-trick for Kelty the other week to make it 7 goals in 14 league games for them. Now a first half hat-trick for the u19s in a 4-0 win v Latvia. Miovski will probably leave in the summer so it'll be interesting to see if he is involved much at Pittodrie next season or loaned out again. Still 17.
  21. I never rated him as a left back, which is where he played the majority of his games for us, although I'd agree he got better as time passed. He looked a fair bit more comfortable at centre back, which is unsurprising given his height, so he might have a future with you playing there. I did hear in our social club back in August that Crystal Palace offered you £200k for him.
  22. What a result. This team are actually pretty fucking good and well done Allan Hale for the transformation. Bring on the rest of the season.
  23. No relegations for Aberdeen in 120 years then 3 in one week, Warnock out.
  24. I agree a point would be a decent result, however the prospect of going 5th with a win tempts me into thinking we should maybe have a go. I think the Aberdeen game could be a big factor for them and their league form is far from impressive so for a change have a wee bit of confidence going into an away game, helped by how much stronger we look.
