Don't want to be a pedant, but there were actually 17 Montrose fans at Dumfries that night.
... and the game was televised which probably cut quite a few from travelling numbers.

There’s no evidence that a skelping would hasten his demise so I’ll take the point thanks.
Aye, I fear he's here 'til the end if the season, at least. My hope is that the Board, assuming they still give a shit given they're jacking it in, are waiting on someone who is currently under contract becoming available in the summer before paying Bartley off.

I would like to see these idiots banned from watching us. Causing damage to someone else’s pitch and behaving like hooligans does our reputation as a club no good at all.
I agree on that, and not just at plastic pitches, I've no time for pyros at football but then again I'm an old fart well behind the times. The ones that were thrown on yesterday came from over the fence from the road so proving who did it wouldn't be easy. Also, what was occurring at half-time, looked like a supporter from the Annan end came on for a kick about with the Queens subs, a few stewards ran from away end to deal with it.

Bloody hell if Mumbongo is you're biggest chance of scoring then QOTS really are in serious trouble.
He's doing (relatively) OK on the goals front since he came in considering the fairly limited game time he's been getting. No doubt he'll soon settle into mediocrity to blend in with the rest of the squad.

It's interesting to note that in the chairman's statement regarding the current board stepping down he stated that the club is in a healthy state financially. This makes me wonder just how much of a salary Bartley is hoovering up if the only reason he is still in post is, as we suspect, because of the damage it would do to the bank balance if he were to be paid off in full.
Did the Club not report a yearly loss at the AGM, and expecting similar this year. If we're in a healthy state financially, as Chairman said, it could possibly mean money invested or other assets that can't just be accessed to cover the likes of terminating contracts. I'm sure there will be an Accountant out there, knowledgeable about football finances, reading this thread, who could explain how it works.

Wow! That's some statement. Do you honesty think IF he gets sacked that he is the type to turn it into a racist issue when, as far as we know, there is no such issue with that, and it's clearly terrible results that he will be judged on.

It'll likely start with a "well Marvin, I don't think anyone saw that coming"
I'd start with " Well Marvin why do you persist with starting Ferguson and keep giving minutes to McKechnie?"

Certainly looked like he came for the ball and fluffed it.

Neil Warnock available again I believe. could offer it to him until end of the season (assuming Dan doesn't want it).

They wanted rid of you and now want you back !!!!!! Funny old game. All you did was to inform and talk sense. Still can’t believe they don’t know who you are SD ? There you go, best team win today.
I would very much guarantee that the vast majority of Queens fans on here know who SD is, he hardly hides it, and what roles he plays at the Club.

I'd see the last bit as more of a prerequisite than a mere preference to be honest.
I'm also struggling with the "takes heed of what fans say" part of your post. The board flew directly in the face of unified opinion on the biggest question of his day, heaping shame and embarrassment on all of us.
This "rangers vote" thing always confuses me as I can't recall at the time any poll or questionnaire seeking supporters views, certainly no- one asked me my views. As for "taking heed", maybe a bit of a stretch, he (Robertson) did give the impression that he was interested in what supporters wanted or had to say (beyond the rangers thing) that's not to say he or the Board necessarily acted on it.

Folk wanting Mark Robertson back . Guaranteed in about 10 years time these same revisionists will be saying how great Hewitson was.
Unless Ive missed it I don't think anyone has actually said they want Robertson back, just someone like him who communicates with fans, takes heed of what they say and gets things done. Obviously better as well if that person is a Quens fan rather than a Loyal season ticket holder of a Glasgow based Club.

Why not arrive early and get to the front of the terracing lean on the barriers. Perfect view.
You didn't think this through did you? The more people that arrive early means the problem remains.

What sort of view are you wanting for £16 at what's basically a Scottish Lowland league ground? Sydney opera House perhaps? The hanging gardens of Babylon. Herds of wildebeest swinging majestically...

First look at Mumbongo last week did not look good against the physical Stirling defence.
Doherty might be a option but is he injured not involved last week
I wasn't at the Edinburgh game but seeing him against Kelty, Montrose and Stirling (bit part appearances granted) Mumbongo looks to have a more physical style than Doherty, and he's got pace for his size, he surely deserves a start given his goal ratio since he came. Reilly sadly doesn't look to have the pace any more to chase balls if played alone up front going by the past two games so expect Bartley will line up with Reilly upfront and Mumbongo on the bench.

I would certainly like to see Mumbongo start, we need a physical presence up front to stand up to Annan's usually physical ( aka clogging) defensive style.

About the only good thing going in the away end at Annan is the view's that crap you can't see Bartleyball very well.

I am a shareholder was surprised at the AGM that our departing board can get whoever they want to run the club we have no say on who they appoint .
We just have to hope they get it right .
I'm not a Queens shareholder and a few years since I've served on Committees, but would there not have to be an EGM to elect these people into Office. The current Board, or other shareholders, can only propose them I would have thought.

It certainly does NOT improve the experience- he’s dire.
He's not perfect, does a few things that grate, but at least tries to be a bit more upbeat than the snoozefest that the previous man sadly lapsed into. As for the music yesterday, no problem with that, I'm getting (am) old, probably had those records at one time anyway, doesn't always have to be aimed at youngsters. I'm sure he'll mix it up at times.

Queens are heading for the relagation playoffs.
Annan are on the up they have more heart and desire than us will go to win the game .
We will be without our 2 best centre backs Goss will win everything in the air .
Bartley is clueless as a manager should have been sacked months ago.
Goss won everything in the air last time at Annan, still couldnt win. They've run us close in every game so far, this will probably be the same but I expect us to get something out of the game. Would like to see Mumbongo start to give us bit of physical presence up front. I also expect the ex Queens players at Annan will be weighed down by the chips on their shoulders.

Football must be about the only game where there are so many medical professionals in the crowd who can spot if an injury is genuine or faked. Also fans complaining about time wasting ( aka game management) in a "we're whiter than white and would never do such a thing" attitude. Great to support your team but don't be hypocritical about it. Time wasting pisses me off, yes we're as guilty as any team, but yesterday wasn't as extreme as some are making out and every team does it. As for the penalty incident, from behind the Queens goal it looked to me like it was Carrick who just caught the keeper, could even have been 50/50 given the way both approached it. Penalty decision looked a bit harsh anyway but need to see it again to confirm. As for Carrick getting booed after the miss, probably because he'd done a couple of niggly fouls earlier ( sure he was booked for totting up a few, certainly spoken to by Ref) so was probably a giruy gesture from the fans. Not sure Stirling dominated the second half as someone claimed given we scored a goal and won a series of corners, and worked the keeper a bit, but they probably edged it. Thought overall a draw was fair, happy with any point at home given our record tbf, we would normally lose a game like that and often have. Injuries to two main defenders is a concern, hopefully not long term.

Aye, that probably explains why the Queen of the South support is dwindling, the anti- Royalists have decided to stay away because of the name, nothing to do with the "football" being served up.
