  1. First World Problems for this pish. It is annoying though, I agree.
  2. I can only echo what others have already said about next season's ticket prices. Well done. The BOD are doing as much as they can to encourage support along to Palmerston in this respect, let's hope their choice of Manager and the prospect of a better season can also boost the desire for some stay-away fans to return.
  3. Learn to be an artist and 200 years after you die you will be worth a fortune. Genuine Tutankhamun artefacts do not have Made in Egypt stamped on the bottom. At the end of a meal in a snobby restaurant don't embarrass yourself by asking where the Dairylea triangles are when the cheese board comes round.
  4. I somehow had the feeling that seeking advise on here may not result in unanimous agreement.
  5. After boiling an egg in a saucepan use the same water to make your tea/coffee, saving on water and electricity. Or put the egg in the kettle. Feel proud to do your bit to save the planet.
  6. People who say "haitch" instead of "aitch" when spelling out the letter "H". They might be right but just sounds wrong. Also, what is the corrrect way to say the letter "J"? I say "Ji" (rhymes with pie) but a lot of people pronounce it "Jay". I feel not knowing the correct pronounciation may be hindering my progress up the social ladder.
  7. Ladies, If you are embarrassed or upset at men who stare at your ample bosom and make suggestive comments, then avoid wearing low cut tops and bending over.
  8. Something similar was being discussed on here about 2 months ago about people walking up and down escalators. If they are the stair-shaped escalators then I don't see the point in also walking up or down just to gain a few seconds, and it could cause an accident, but if they are the flat conveyor ramp style then walking up (or down as appropriate) is ok. I think I termed them up-scalators and down-scalators to differentiate the direction of travel.
  9. 'king hell, even Mother Teresa's pussy wasn't as wrinkly as that.
  10. Stumped me on that one their MC, need clarification. I blame the education system for my poor spelling, to many poor teachers only interested in the long holidays.(and me not spell-checking before I post) I will try and improve my spelling for when you are reading the Championship Threads next season.
  11. Unlucky MC, "advise" was not the mistake in that post my error was inserting "give" before it. Better luck next time.
  12. Anybody who would even think that someone might lay laminate on top of existing laminate should f**k right off and not give advise. The type of flooring and underlay you choose depends on several factors. Is it a concrete or wooden sub-floor, what condition is the sub-floor in, is it in a Flat or upstairs room where you don't want sound travelling downwards, etc. Factors to consider when getting a price from someone, or deciding to DIY, should include the shape of the room (corners and angles mean more cutting and wastage), straightness of walls, the number of doors in the room ( properly fitting at doors thresholds takes extra time plus joining to existing floor coverings in other rooms), are there any radiator pipes or cables coming up thought the floor or along the skirting, will the room be clear of furniture? If you are reasonably competent and not too fussy about how long you take then there is no great problem with DIY but you will probably need to buy a floor fitting kit from the place you get the flooring from. There are on-line guide videos to help. Getting a price from someone to do it should take into account any of the above problems but a ballpark price of about £150 min does not seem too steep.
  13. If you've got room in your fridge for eggs, chocolate, fruit, vegetables, bread, etc, then you obviously haven't bought enough beer. That is what fridges were invented for.
  14. Were you indicating your intentions on the roundabout clearly Mozz ? If the answer is "yes" then they are fuds, if the answer is "no" then the true fud was in your vehicle.
  15. The free advertising for her dog grooming/walking business is of course pure coincidence. ETA: Has she lost a trainer though or are the pictures reversed? I'm sure in one picture (in D & G Standard) it looks to me like she is holding a right trainer and in another (above link) it looks like she is holding a left trainer. Hmmm strange.
  16. My pc has started to write words out backwards as I type them in. This only appears to happen when I use Bold, underline or strikethrough options. It can be bloody annoying os ti nac.
  17. In today's D & G Standard: A woman is looking for help to track down a missing Adidas trainer which disappeared from the back of her van. "It could have fallen out of the back of my van or been taken" She added "I don't have many pairs of nice shoes so I fell robbed."
  18. Sarah Millican's voice gets right on my wick and makes her shit attempts at comedy even more cringeworthy.
  19. Things were pretty grim at times in the Harkness era but we also had some great players in that time for which he deserves grudging credit.
  20. Innocent times BR, and no-one inferred any sexual connotations that I recall. I don't know why it was decided to put them in a double bed and not twin beds anyway. As for Victoria Wood, some of her comedy writing was quite good, like dinnerladies and Acorn Antiques. Anyone who remembers "comedy" programmes written by Carla Lane will recall what shit sit-com writing was really like. Shakespeare's comedies had more laughs than Ms Lanes.
  21. Unfortunately I had other things on my mind Swarley, and only one hand free, plus I am technically ignorant of carrying out such a procedure. I happily leave it to competent chaps such as yourself and Zen.
  22. Do all commercial tv channels time their ad breaks to come on at the same time. If I'm watching a programme and the ads come on I sometimes switch to another channel to see what's on and it's usually more adverts. If I'm honest this only annoys me very slightly.
