  1. Suggestions of Jim Leishman and Neil Warnock, were in a worse state than I thought.
  2. Club's anouncing Managers had been sacked/relieved of duty: Ross County didn't give McKay much notice, St. Johnstone didn't give McLean much notice, Ian McCall was dumped by Partick Thistle just a couple of hours after a game, even Gary Naysmith was relieved of duty a few hours after a game, and that's just a few examples. Football doesn't seem to run to the same timescale as other professions in Employment Law.
  3. Ok, no need to rub it in, putting photos up on both sites. A deserved win in the end.
  4. I don't think we need to be told he's a helmet tbf, we've seen plenty of him over the years to know that, but fans of any club generally don't look on their own players in the same way as outsiders do whilst they're playing for your Club. Kind of, he's a twat but he's our twat.
  5. If they're coming in to training today maybe it's a "goodbye from me" meeting.
  6. Aye, Brydon and Mimnaugh have been 2 big misses but we'd probably still have been struggling 'cos there's just not the quality, or even many semi-capable players, around them. On the matter of Lewis Gibson's stair related injury, it shows some dedication that he couldn't even wait to get to training to get injured.
  7. That's some leap reading anything racist into Gibson's tweet. Gibson shouldn't have put that statement out there, very naive from a fellow professional and lacking class but to infer it's racially motivated is plain daft imo.
  8. I should really have read the subs list before posting that.
  9. No injury, it's just Marv's tactics, wait til we're the inevitable goal or two down then bring Gibson on.
  10. Probably on-line right after our game V Kelty tomorrow. Just guessing mind.
  11. And probably leave early as disapointment takes over (again).
  12. Thank you for clearing that up, I'd no idea who Mick Kennedy was until I read that. Definitely a no from me.
  13. "Parasites" "low life", "disrespectful" you're not doing a good job of steering clear of abusive language there.
  14. You want Billy to sack himself, that'll be an interesting conversation. He wasn't at the Kelty away game, don't know if he's been seen since though. If he's in Oz he's possibly just visiting his relatives and friends who live there. Just dawned, it's the Manager you want sacked.
  15. I think we're more into booing and then walking away muttering expletive riddled condemnation of players and management under our breath. OR simply choosing not to come back.
  16. It was definitely a high in performance and attitude against the current leaders after a run of defeats. I'm sure pre-Falkirk match quite a few Queens fans were predicting us getting a pummeling.
  17. On the face of it a 1 - 0 loss away to Alloa, the goal coming mainly courtesy of a very experienced player dithering on the ball and losing it, doesn't sound too bad, we are quite used to losing up there tbf, the issue is the difference in tactics, attitude and workrate from the previous week. Against Falkirk it was a real team effort, players getting tackles in early, plenty of running, looking to get involved and help each other out, yesterday it was like the three sections of the team, defence, midfield and attack, didn't have much of a clue what the other lot was thinking or doing. It looked at times like they didn't know what the game plan was and if so that lies squarely at the Manager's door. True, he can't legislate for player's errors but to go from the high of last week to the dross of yesterday, something is not right.
  18. Yesterday there seemed to be a reluctance for players to take a chance and act on their own initiative. One instance (of many) that had me beelin, was when Fergusson got the ball at the edge of the centre circle in Alloa's half with acres of space in front of him, but instead of driving forward he played the ball wide and the momentum was lost. Young players are maybe too scared to try things in case they make mistakes.
  19. Efe always looks a standout when he gets room to stroll about, and he reads the game well. It's when he's pressured like yesterday when he lost possession leading to the goal he looks a liability, and that happens at least once in every game. I would still be ok with him staying after January though.
  20. Interesting that you think Hewitson knows he isn't universally loved in the local business community, I take it you must have had feedback from a lot of local business people to base this statement on. As for "the wider community", unless they're Queens fans I doubt they care about him either way.
  21. Certainly back down to earth after last weeks performance, two poor teams tbf. About 30 mins before either team had a serious effort, off target of course. Queens had the best chance so far, good work by Reilly set up Mc Kechnie whose low shot was touched round the post by the keeper. Certainly need to up the pace a bit second half, far too pedestrian at times. Unless there's been more injuries I'm not sure why Marvin has tinkered with last week's line-up, players' attitude seems miles different too.
  22. What's Danny Lennnon up to these days, sure he knows the club well.
  23. It'll be paper cups and plates and plastic cutlery. A few seem to prefer a McDonald's anyway so maybe not used to using cutlery.
