  1. Gold Members 0 4 posts Location : Edinburgh My Team : Airdrie Report post Posted just now I went to Links park today to see Airdrieonians. I was told I could not enter main turnstile I had to go back to main road turn left the left again. I asked if I could walk round the ground to the away turnstile. Answer NO. So I started the bit of a trek round a few street not sure if I was going the correct way. I tried to follow the floodlight but they ere a bit small and crap. I reached an opening and it turned out I had made it to the correct place. There was a plastic barrier preventing folk accessing this turnstile from the back of the stand. So I could and should have been directed in that direction to reach the away gate. No signage of any kind to help me find the correct entrance. This is a crap way to treat your away fans. I counted 140 Airdrie fans in a crowd of 766. Getting on for 1 in 5 of the whole gate. At £15 a pop that is more than £2000. I won't be in any hurry to go back. Folk should not and will not put up with this inconvenience. Montrose need a kick up the whatsit

  3. When we played Rangers in the league a few years ago the football club did not get the financial reward we deserved from the large crowd. The Stadium Company gained the main benefit. If we want to avoid a repeat of this, we could move the game to a stadium provider who will give us a better deal. Broadwood or Almondvale. Would the Airdrie support agree with a switch like this ?
  4. I am working with a short term contractor(From Engerland) in Edinburgh. I was looking for a game to take him to and european night at easter road would fit the bill. We were in what used to be the old main stand (I have not been to ERoad since 2006). I have my knees sticking into the guy in front. We dont have that problem at Broomfield. It was packed. (We dont have that problem at Broomfield, either) By half time we were surrounded by empry seats. The score was embarrassing. I googled a few of the Malmo players. The best player I saw is a current South African international, the next a Sweden international. Did Hibs have any internationals? Thomson has 3 caps from yonks ago. But that does not excuse the biggest euro defeat in Scottish Football history. English guy not impressed. http://www.airdriefc.talktalk.net/
