  1. After last nights result the game up at Gayfield is now massive for Arbroath who surely need to win here. 5th-9th separated by 4 points at the moment got to be a few nervous teams right now. Still a 3rd of the season to go so plenty games for it to all change.
  2. To be fair this one was “never underestimate the ineptitude of the SFA”, either of those goals are given and Thistle probably win that game. However they weren’t and that’s football (I’d certainly take it over VAR). Disappointing for Jags fans gutting for Arbroath and Inverness and lucky for the Dunfermline fans. Shite advert for our refereeing but it was at least an entertaining game to watch for neutrals. Hope your Gaffer has that back line back in training first thing as they were really poor at the back.
  3. Or celebrated one as a hero, glass houses and stones. https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/news/5238201/david-goodwillie-rape-dundee-united-fans-cheer-scottish-cup-party/
  4. Shite outcome for Arbroath, anything less than a win tomorrow and they’re in big trouble.
  5. Check the referee for having invested in VAR as he’s a walking advert for having it.
  6. Madness I know but possibly they could do a bit on Dunfermline or Partick Thistle
  7. I guess all depends on what’s actually happened (I’m the least in the know person) might not be “sacked” could be loaned out or just a mutual termination maybe? Sure we’ll find out soon enough, bit of a shame as everything looked great with squad morale and Millen was certainly always passionate.
  8. Great to see we’ve added an experienced CB for this level in Ashcroft, definitely the area we were crying out for an extra body and relying on Watson and Murray staying fit was risky. From Ashcroft’s POV I’d say most of what I’ve seen the Pars fans saying is spot on, promotion battle vs relegation battle but with the added sweetener for a Dee that it’s against DUFC with fellow Dee’s Byrne and Rudden. Not sure there’s much the Pars board could do to tempt him over that but it’s obviously frustrating for Pars fans who are desperate for a couple of extra players. Looks like we’re going to have a real go at trying to win this league after a great result last week and let’s be honest even if we fall short to DUFC a stronger defence in the playoff will be required as we’ve been confiding some sloppy goals the last few weeks.
  9. Gretna, they were an absolute nonentity who were catapulted up the leagues by a millionaire wanting to play fantasy football. Cove are probably similar but at least they’ve put in a passable ground (mud bath aside). Brechin certainly the worst in recent years must have beaten an absolute Diddy squad to get up here.
  10. TBF with the injury record both teams seem to have had this season I wouldn’t be shocked to see a traffic cone listed on either team sheet. Big game for both sides, must win for Arbroath and must not lose for the Pars.
  11. Any word on your board sorting out a permanent home stadium? Obviously you’re now staring down the barrel of relegation but I’d genuinely fear for the clubs future if your board haven’t sorted a new home out. Sad to see Shawfield sat there derelict.
  12. Hibs will bring through a decent crowd unless the weather is rancid. Just hopeful for a better game of football than we got from them for Davo’s testimonial. First half was pretty enjoyable but the second half was shockingly cynical football in a friendly match by Hibs. All they did was foul us anytime we attacked knowing the referee wouldn’t book them, utterly ruined a game where the score didn’t matter. Jack Ross must have been the first manager ever to not realise a testimonial is literally a kick about.
  13. Airdrie - Not a fan of it as an away day (not just because we’ve lost twice) Stadium is obviously an IKEA flat pack job which is meh but like Livingston it’s far too big for the club (I blame SPL 10K rule). Away stand also suffers with the sun in your eyes for first 1/4. Arbroath - Always a good away day, some decent boozers without the usual chain pubs. Stadium is pretty good and weather usually pish. Pies are also good. Ayr - love the classic old school ground but the toilets are pretty awful. Love to see it with a bigger crowd but it’s usually pretty empty. Dundee United - Shed was really good (helped it was full and we won) thought the toilets and catering was in need of some investment. Dundee is always a decent place for an away day. Dunfermline - Different for us than other clubs as it’s obviously a derby. Decent stand with a good view, easy enough to get through or park Bridies have sadly gone downhill in recent years, used to be great. The intimating 12 year olds at the bus station are truly terrifying. Inverness - Only been once and surprisingly we lost. Stand was decent enough although surprisingly seemed to be a temporary Stand. Long trip but decent enough. Morton - unless you’re in the WDE it’s a shocking place to visit for anyone over 5’ tall. Rest of the ground looks decent enough wee bar next door was alright. Partick - Day out in Glasgow is always decent, Thistle fans always seem friendly enough. Main Stand is OK although might be the smallest toilet I’ve seen at a football stadium. Queens park - As above Glasgow is decent to visit but Hampden with sub 2000 is absolutely soulless. A decent Lesser Hampden would so much better but QPFC board seems to have made an absolute mess of it. Rankings: 1. Arbroath 2. Dunfermline 3. Dundee Utd 4. Ayr 5. Partick Thistle 6. Inverness 7. Queens Park 8. Airdrie 9. Morton
  14. In our experience you turn up get gubbed by Brechin and go home.
