  1. Playoffs are always unfair as 2nd could be miles ahead of 4th and 4th goes up however they’re here to stay as they give more teams something to play for and leave less meaningless games. Assuming we remain 12-10-10-10 for the foreseeable the only change I’d prefer is bottom 2 are relegated in every division No playoff for 9th/11th this also allows both HL and LL champions automatic promotion, Champions at every level should go up automatically as long as they meet any requirements e.g licence for tier 5. The play off for all SPFL divisions would then be 3rd v 4th and winner play’s 2nd.

  2. Nothing to play for and away to a team scrapping for every point who’ve ridden us sideways for 2 decades this has probably got away win written all over it.  Got nothing against Inverness or Queens Park for that matter so best of luck to both for the run in and for the playoffs for whoever is unlucky enough to finish 9th. Got a feeling we’ll see Vaughan wrapped in cotton wool until the playoffs with his injury history. No idea what team we’ll field as we will want some confidence before the playoffs but not want to risk picking up any injuries, Morton and Arbroath should be kick abouts with zero to play for. Yesterday was a big result for ICT who’ll now be looking to pull clear in 8th.

Worth remembering for half the season they had a lunatic as manager calling them all shite. They've won 3 since Cowie took charge in February.

I hope you’re not giving the St Johnstone players a pre match motivational team talk in their fight with County to avoid 11th 😂

if last season's Thistle side couldn't get past last years County then its very hard to see this season's Raith, Thistle, or Airdrie getting past this season's County.

You’re probably correct but it’ll come down to who hits form at the right time. None of the 4 playoff teams are world beaters and it’s just who gets it right on the day. We were relegated by a terrible Brechin team who just hit their stride at the right time. Best of luck against Airdrie.

We've got to get past Partick or Airdrie first before whatever Premier team comes into the equation, and of that I'm not confident of beating either of them,  theres too many players at this point in the season not performing to the level of ability they have, (is it a case of what went wrong with Millen that's the issue) course maybe they're lulling the opposition into a false sense of security and will come out all guns blazing in those play off games......... I can but hope

Airdrie have our number this season so hopefully Partick win the Quarter Final. We were pretty average yesterday but so were they and we’ve certainly shown we’re capable of beating them this season.  Final wise if we can get past Partick or Airdrie we’d need to be at our best to beat Ross County or St Johnstone.  County we’re excellent today but let’s be honest they’ve not played like that in many games or they wouldn’t be 11th. Going to have a problem if we face either as both have loaned us a player who I assume won’t then be available.

I suspect raith will finally bury the hoodoo against us in Tuesday. Huge game for us against the pars next week. Hopefully home advantage sees us take three points.

Maybe us to beat you on Tuesday and then lose to you in the playoffs 😂. Been impressed with Airdrie this season, think we all had you down as 10th place before a ball was kicked.  Interesting one on Tuesday Pars fans will need to cheer us on if they want a top 4 spot.

The 6 biggest club sides in Wales don't even play in Wales .....,if they did,TNS wouldn't get a look in.

    (Cardiff/Swansea/Wrexham/Newport/Merthyr/Colwyn Bay).

Colwyn Bay already play TNS as they moved a couple of years ago and are currently bottom this season. I’ve got my doubts Merthyr would best TNS either as they’re well down the English pyramid.  The other 4 fair enough would beat TNS.

Been an enjoyable game so far.

Very entertaining game, end to end stuff. Love that about football that no matter the level it can be a brilliant or terrible game.

The worst match I ever went to was actually EPL.  22 good players but that particular game they couldn’t kick their own arse.

  9. Us v Utd will be clearer come Saturday with home advantage vs Jim Goodwin’s bottle crashing, obviously a draw keeps things going to the wire. Utd are still favourites to win the league.

Partick v Airdrie for 3rd / 4th spot, this might stop either club resting players before the playoff as it could go to the final weekend for position.

Pars / Morton / QPFC scraping for position 5-8 but a few points will see them safely away from 9th.

Ayr should be able to pick up enough points to stay in 5-8 fight with a game in hand to keep ICT in 9th unless they completely collapse ICT will surely be doing really well to pick up 7-9 more points but anything less will be too little.

Arbroath are already gone, can’t see anyway of coming back despite their valiant win against us at Gayfield.

Nah, the possibility of falling 4 points behind and missing the chance to go clear with a game in hand is massive.

I get the point many think Raith didn't expect to be where they are but now that they are slipping up will hurt.

Pressure is definitely going to be mostly on Utd as It’s as a must win game at home, anything else and it’s out of their hands.  Losing for us on paper isn’t a disaster but as you say psychologically falling 4 points behind even with a game in hand that’s far from certain we can win would be a bad blow. Even if we beat Airdrie we’d need to probably win all our remaining games and hope someone did us a favour.

Definitely a different mindset between both sets of fans as Utd fans expected to stroll the league while we were hoping for a playoff place.  Losing the league at this late stage would obviously be gutting (see Arbroath v Killie season) but it certainly wouldn’t be the nuclear fallout that will happen at Tannadice if they balls it up.

Was that no the year we played Alloa home last game, drew 0-0, there were people walking round the side of the pitch to the north stand 15 mins after KO and Vaughan had the chance to win the game and league for us but hit the post with the last kick of the ball?

We then played Alloa again in the play offs the subsequent Tuesday and Saturday and they humped us? 2018 IIRC.

Aye Davo got sent off first leg.
