Elgin 1 Forfar 1. Cinch Scottish League two. Borough Briggs, Elgin. My last one for the 2023/24 season. A more exciting game than last weeks as Forfar continued their unbeaten run. A fantastic finish from Booth made it 1-0 but Forfar equalised with a lovely cut inside from Thomson and where we were, we could see it curl perfectly round the defender and knew it was it in before it hit the net. I think if Elgin had figured out that punting the ball up into a very strong wind, wasn’t helping their cause they would have got on better as they played some neat football at times. They could have won it on the counter, but Cairns blasted wide after running from his own half, giving and then eventually getting the ball back from the winger. They hit the post as well. Booth was named man of the match and rightly so, but Bray played well, looks like a good player at this level. We had a 4 hour drive there and back, so was good to get a good game sandwiched in-between. Borough Briggs is a good stadium, has a lounge inside the stand where you can go before the game as well.

So close to that last night.

I suppose funny means different things to different people. You seem obsessed with the social media side of things. Either A) you are at it and just a wind up merchant. Or B) A 4 second clip from a game that didn’t even involve your club has really got under your skin for whatever reason. There is a lot worse than footage of a slide tackle being put on social media. What would you like from Raith? A grovelling apology? Or a header at the top of the clip saying “no goalies were harmed in the making of this clip” And let’s face it, had that been Todd on Debrowski, you would have been lapping it up because as football fans we are all hypocrites.

I would get that if there had been running battles between both sets of fans, but as far as i am aware there has been not trouble at these games.

Surely they would have known then, that given the importance of the match we would bring (around about) the same crowd. Surely losing money by doing this?

Can anyone mind what Davos’ testimonial score was? Did it finish 1-1? I don’t think we told Hibs it’s a testimonial, they have went for it. Good finish by Stevenson for their goal.

I am working on the assumption that either A) United supporters have complained about not getting tickets the last time. Or B) they are shitting themselves and trying to hopefully gain an advantage by having less of a raith crowd.

Cinch League 2. Forfar 1 Stenhousemuir 1. It has been said in the Match thread for this, that neither team deaerved to win this and that is fair. Outside of the goals, i can recall one shot (possibly from Berry) that dipped, but never really troubled the Forfar keeper. Stenny looked the more comfortable in possession and worked hard to win it back when out Forfar had the ball. Stenny took the lead in the first half when O’Reilly crossed the ball in, Yates knocked it on and James Berry tapped it in. Forfars’ equaliser came from a free kick from Inglis that was knocked in by Adam Hutchison. Station park is a nice, old fashioned Football stadium, the food is good and the tannoy works. (Which is better than some places we have been to) Gates didn’t open until 30 mins before kick off, which was surprising, but no big deal.
