  1. Jordan Holmes, 21 year old aussie goalie signs on loan from Bournemouth until end of season. It appears Danny Rodgers has picked up another knee injury that will keep him out for some time.
  2. That's absolutely fucking harsh from Birmingham. Seems they've cut short the loan deal to pap him out to his previous loan's direct rival just for the LOLs of it.
  3. Isma would be amazing but he's neither a winger, nor injury prone.
  4. I don't know bud but that would make sense. I'm just doing guesswork after reading a couple of comments on bawa. Two comments jumped out before it went into meltdown over the Sammon prospect. Those were : 'Belter of a signing if we can keep him fit' 'A winger who is a familiar face' I daftly thought Charlie Adam at first before it was cleared up that the player being brought in was a winger.
  5. That would be lovely. Blackandwhitearmy murmurings suggest injury prone and familiar to Buds though (as in has played for us before) Leaves only one name, really.
  6. I'm going to stick my neck on the line and say it will be one of those answers.
  7. Replace almost word for word with the following: Josh Heaton. Everton. Middlesbrough. I HATE being negative, especially when it seems like they have been very proactive this window in trying to get folk in and I've never seen the lad play but this just seems like a such a well trodden and unsuccessful path. I suppose I genuinely hoped we were going to try something a wee bit different so to see a guy rock up on trial whose career so far has all the hallmarks of a Jeff King or Cole Kpekawa is fucking soul destroying.
  8. Absolutely not the point bud. We were told a few months ago that recruitment is going to be very different going forward. Minimum of 3 sets of eyes on players, all bases covered....all targets fully scouted. Now it seems to be the same old pish. 'He wants a trial? Aye might as well have a squint I suppose'.
  9. I struggle to put into word how underwhelming that sounds. 22 years old, been on loan at League two level and not scored goals. Fucking hell, why are we wasting our time with this level of jobber?
  10. Definitely. I'll guess 3 or 4 in this week. Lyons is guaranteed. I imagine the striker and winger who have impressed will be signed up as well. The striker is Tomas Malec as was reported in the the press on Thursday and Friday. His name is out there in the press so it's fine to mention it. The winger's name hasnt not been mentioned publicly yet which is good for us as the worst thing would be for someone to get the bounce on us and get him ahead of us. What I've seen of him online has been very impressive indeed. I get that anyone can make a good player out of YouTube highlights but this lad seems to be a bit classy. All will be revealed in the next couple of days I guess.
  11. That will be that, then. Heard that we definitely asked the question, though.
  12. No he didn't. He was shite and tripped over his own laces. (Shut the f**k up you!)
  13. Beat Celtic U23s 4-0 in a bounce match today. No other details. Nothing to see here!
  14. Czech Republic and Romania, On paper, Mendy really should have been a good signing for Dundee. Decent scoring record at a decent level. The majority of the others mentioned by ah-dee are very 'meh' in terms of their playing history, bit like Pal Fjelde and Stelios, which is a very hit and miss strategy. These guys coming in seem to be taking more of a sideways step in terms of the level they've played at to come to Scotland rather than taking an upwards step from places like French 3rd division or Norwegian 2nd division. Kusunga for Dundee is one who has played at a pretty good level as well and he's looked OK whenever I've seen him. There is always a risk associated with these types of players....how will they settle? Will they adapt to a different pace of football? Thing is though, it's a route we've never really taken....we've always seemed to have stuck to the Scottish market, and the odd left field signing which has been more hit than miss. I'm quite comfortable though that these players are being scouted in advance rather than signed for shits and giggles. We've been led to believe that all players coming in have been as fully assessed as possible to minimise the chances they are shite. Time to wait and see now, I guess.
  15. From Liberec's official website. Couple of bits of dodginess from google translate (Cypriot concentration camp being my favourite) but you get the gist!
  16. If nothing else, this window has proven to be absolutely fun and games so far. Guys coming in from all over Europe, all seem to be decent ages. Most seem to have plenty first team experience.
  17. Hladky confirmed by Slovan Liberec's twitter account. Expect us to do the same imminently.
  18. Hladky, likely yes. Malec, no. Believe there is a bounce game arranged to have a wee look at him and A. N. Other Edit: Cheers Div
  19. Lyons is still technically on loan at Blackburn from Coleraine. They sign him on Monday so he'll apparently sign on loan for us once he's their player. Hladky is likely the player signing tomorrow according to Div on twitter. 28 year old goalie from Slovan Liberec
  20. anyone know where this signings come from? does OK have any links to the boy? seems a strange one otherwise Also, it appears we're scouting Eastern Europe for shits and gigs. Czech goalkeeper expected to sign tomorrow. Linked with a 6ft6 Slovakia International Centre forward in today's press too.
  21. anyone know where this signings come from? does OK have any links to the boy? seems a strange one otherwise Not sure. It came out of the blue from a few days ago by a Romanian journalist. The guy is a regular for Dinamo Bucharest over the last two seasons (17 of 21 league games this season) and they are apparently having a bit of a fire sale. On paper he's definitely a decent signing. A good age, plenty of experience in a league of a similar stature to ours and we also have the option to buy him. Much more fun than the boring old tried and tested route. We're certainly taking chances this window and OK will live and die by it, respect to him for that.
  22. If he's fit he'll piss it in league one. Think it was the right decision for him to go, though.
  23. Tomas Malec linked today in press. 6ft 6 Slovakian International striker formerly of Rosenborg.
