  1. Must think the Queens Park fans are a rich bunch hence the price. Mind you it could become a collectors item in the future might be worth buying one.

  3. Bit more sensible idea to use only the West Stand for this game. However the bar will not be open it only opens for Albion home games as far as I know unless the Uni open up their own bar their but can't see it happening sorry to say
  4. Hope not !, a victory for any team in this cup tie.
  5. Yes I have to agree with you their, the last time the Uni played in the Cup game against Albion Rovers they only opened the West Stand (ie The Albion Home Stand) and their was no problems with the fans considering their was just under 300 attended this match. Can`t see more than 500/600 in attendance for this game so why open the East Stand (Away Stand) on this occasion ?
  6. This coming Saturday the Albion make the journey to New Bayview to face East Fife. Having played their 2 weeks ago on League business and getting a deserved 1-1 draw can the Albion go one better and beat them to advance to the 3rd Round. I certinaly hope so the performance and result against the Clyde yesterday was encouraging for the tie with East Fife and if our strikers Steven Dorris in particular can take some of the chances that he missed yesterday that I am optimistic for our chances. It will be a diificult tie and East Fife will fancy their chaces at home. I expect the team will be along the lines of the team yesterday with Willie Robertson possibly coming back into the team and hopefully he manages to stay on for the full 90 minutes this time unlike the last meeting when he got sent off in the last minutes of the League game. Prediction East Fife 1 Albion 2 Binos to march into the 3rd Round draw with a bit of luck in front of goal.

  8. Agree with your comments, we looked today a team and if we can keep it up then who knows how we will fare this season. playoffs/promotion has not been ruled out yet ! Should have won more comfortably against a poor Clyde team. Sums up their performance today when the match sponsors name their Goalkeeper as their man of the match. One point I would bring up was the performance of the referee today, booked 4 of our players and sent Craig Comrie off, yet only booked 1 Clyde player near the end, gave us nothing all game. One bad note today was the Shire won and are still 2 points behind us at the bottom, our next home game against them on the 31th should be an interesting game, if we win that widens the gap to 5 points but until then I feel a lot happier tonight and hope we can carry on with more performances of this type.
  9. Don`t count your chickens before they hatch, from what I have seen of Clyde this season and from other results, if we can play like we did in the 2nd half at East Fife for the 90 minutes then I am confident of getting something at Broadwood on Saturday. Their isn't any team that stands out in this League and on their day any team can beat another.
  10. This Saturday the Albion make the short jorney to Broadwood to face Clyde. Given the recent match against East Fife when we got a well earned draw, the question is can we get something against Clyde away from home. If we play like we did in the 2nd half against East Fife then I am confident we will get at least a point against a Clyde side who lets face it have not exactly set the heather on fire despite predictions before the season that they were hot favourites to go up this season. If we can keep it tight at the back and not make any more stupid defensive mistakes like against East Fife, then I think a share of the points is quite posible on Saturday. We must play with the same drive we showed at East Fife and with a bit of luck in front of goals we might just pull a surprise here and get all 3 points but I will be quite happy with anything from this game. The team I suspect will be along the usual lines but Willie Robertson is suspened after his sending off at East Fife. Prediction Clyde 1 Albion 1
  11. It's so tight in this League, I can't see any team who you could say will be champions. Expect the usual suspects such as Queens Park, Clyde, possibly East Fife to be their or their abouts come the end of the season. For the prized bottom spot, I expect the Shire to win this, hopefully the Albion will stage a remarkable turnaround and see us mid table at the very least or if we are very lucky sneak into the playoffs with a bit of luck.
  12. Or does it prove the Officials got it wrong, even your own fans thought they were shite.
  13. "Team full of dirty wee hatchet men it must be said" I was at the game and at no time would I say we were a team full of dirty wee hatchet men, perhaps you are annoyed about dropping points to the team second bottom of the League. Agree with your comments that the referee and linesmen were shite, imo a couple of East Fife players should have been booked, your No 10 a point in fact. Albion players were booked for less but only 1 East Fife player booked tells a story not to mention a good penalty claim turned down in the 2nd half. Still we meet again in 3 weeks time in the Scottish Cup, I have no doubt our "Team full of dirty wee hatchet men it must be said" will be looking forward to playing you again and with a bit of luck and decent officials we might win.
  14. On our 2nd half performance we deserved more than a point Great goal from Willie Robertson, pity about sending off. Overall 1 point more than I thought we would get. Bonus Shire lost.
  15. Well after starting with one up front, we have been playing with 2 upfront in the last couple of games. I would expect us to play 1 up front away from home but you never know, have to wait till Saturday and hope for the best imo.
  16. We make the journey to New Bayview to face East Fife currently joint top of the League on Saturday. Given the last 2 games we have played at lost, clearly East Fife will be favourites to take the points on Saturday but you never know we might just get something rom this game if we can put away the chances hopefully we create unlike the games against Queens Park when we failed to overturn a 2-1 lead. I would imagine their will be changes to the team that lost to Queens most notably in midfield were I think Craig Comrie should be dropped to the bench. Prediction East Fife 1 Albion 1
  17. Well I had high hopes for this game making it 2 home wins on the trot but poor defending cost us the 2nd goal and despite having a couple of decent chances after going behind we could not get back on level terms. Thankfully for us the Shire lost 4-0 to Arbroath and are still bottom, we are 1 point ahead in 2nd bottom place and unless their is a big improvement it looks like we will fighting with the Shire to avoid the relegation playoffs. Next week we are away to East Fife who had a good away win today over Montrose 4-1. On this form I cant see us getting anything at New Bayview.
  18. This Saturday the Binos face Queens Park at home in what will be a difficult game for us after the disappointment of losing last week at Arbroath. Can we make it 2 home wins in a row, I hope so but we must learn to create and take chances that come our way. I expect their could be a couple of changes in view of the defeat by Arbroath and I HOPE Mark Lamont starts on Saturday as when he came on at Arbroath he beat men and put in a couple of decent crosses which caused problems for the Arbroath defence. Defensively we must make sure we try and keep it tight at the back to stand any chance of winning this one. Prediction Albion 2 Queens Park 1 PS Their will be a meet the Manager and Chairman meeting at the Supporters Bar at 1.00 pm at Forthbank before this game all Albion fans welcome.
  19. I think both Forthbank and Gayfield are good stadiums. Of the older fashioned stadiums I like Gayfield and would agree with you. Unlike some grounds in League 2 you can see the play from all 4 sides.
  20. Totally agree with you their but the Steak pies were good, your Steak pies were good !
  21. Well not a classic by any means but if you are an Arbroath fan you will be a lot happier than the Albion fans tonight who once again have to suffer another poor performance lacking the cutting edge in front of goal. Good job East Stirling play in this league otherwise its the relegation playoffs for us this season.
  22. It's going to be a difficult game for the Albion we are on a high after 2 straight wins on the trot. Can we make it 3 wins in the trot over an Arbroath side who recorded their 1st win of the season away to East Fife, I think not and would be happy with a share of the points at Gayfield but you never know we might just edge it.
  23. Well it was quite an afternoon, first half the Albion were brutal and we only came to life after the sending off which I felt was a bit harsh but justice was done by the penalty save. Great goal by Ross McMillian to secure the 3 points and our 1st home win of the season. Also for the first time in quite a while we kept a clean sheet overall not a bad afternoon. Roll on to Arbroath next week and 3 wins in a trot fingers crossed.
