Were you asleep?  Others  witnessed it. The chairman was the target of it.  No matter, it's enough that you don't condemn thuggish behaviour, but support those who indulge in it.   At the same time objecting to a reputed medical specialist and a long term club supporter and volunteer, for exercising their rights as a Trust board members to vote as they see fit.

You refer to other incidents of inappropriate aggressive behaviour by the membership secretary as, "alleged."  They are not alleged, they happened.  He challenged another member to go out of the stadium to fight,  right beside me and at least half a dozen other witnesses.   That is actually an offence and certainly not merely alleged misconduct.

My daughter was a victim of his verbal aggression in the stadium and again there were multiple witnesses to it.

He is also the person responsible for Jim Thompson citing intimidation on resigning 4 years ago.

It is both telling and appalling  that you would support someone who behaves like that, but disrespect candidates who do not, on the basis of how they vote.  I hope your memory returns soon.

Like I said can`t recall it, as for the rest of the alleged incidents you mention its news to me.

Not at all. This is nothing to do with a war between the boards. This is solely in relation  to your defence of the membership secretary while attacking other candidates.

The deflection ploy won't work.  Did you or did you not witness the membership secretary challenging the chairman to a physical altercation and how do you view the occurrence?

Otherwise fully enjoying not being involved in the inter board bitch fight and feeling better for it.

Sorry Cant recall such an incident.

Would you care to make clear the facts as to the membership secretary's behaviour at the recent shareholder's meeting. I assume you were present at it?   I have been told that after being asked to calm down by Stuart Brown, he challenged the chairman to physically remove him from his chair.  Considering that the chairman is a 5ft 6  68 year old, how do you see the facts on the membership secretary challenging a pensioner to get physical at a shareholder's meeting?  Do you consider this acceptable behaviour from a Trust board member?

Well I thought you were taking a break from this forum but a few weeks later your back at it. Enjoyed the holiday when you were gone but its back to normal again. 😂

Let's call it what it is here, Rhilston is opposing Kelly's proposed appointment to the trust board because he doesn't like her and they have previous for disagreements.

The double standards and hypocrisy of the guy is laughable, says that one of the main reasons for his proposal to remove the club board was lack of communication and dialogue with the trust board, when people suggested mediation between both parties for the common goal of the football club he says it's gone too far for that 🤦‍♂️😂

Then suggests a year or so ago to Kelly on the supporters club Facebook page she considers joining the trust board, a few months later after some sort of disagreement with her he's on here and various social media channels urging people not to back her being voted onto said trust board.

Pretty cringeworthy and embarrassing behaviour, no wonder you are widely ridiculed on here and the supporters club page.

My My you are like a dog with a bone are you not. The fact is members should be reminded of the facts in this matter. At the end of the day its up to members to decide whether she gets on the Trust Board or not.

Wildly ridiculed on here and the Supporters Club page I think not. 😄 You mean the posts put on by the followers of Stuart Brown water off a ducks back. It clearly annoys them and I like to get a reaction from them. I seem to have hit a raw nerve with some people good.

Oh by the Way did notice that Colin Rowley is still listed as a Director of Stirling Albion despite resigning on the 3rd of August. Hope their is no time limit to let Companies House know that a Director has resigned, wouldn`t like to think the Club would get into trouble.

Kelly Marie Wilson has been supporting the club for as long as I can remember and has been an unpaid volunteer for Stirling Albion, working on the turnstiles for years and follows the club home and away, the fact that you are casting negativity on her proposal to join the trust board shows your true agenda.

She loves the club and is the type of individual who should be and deserves to be in such a position, but she is, apparently sympathetic to the current chairman so that rules her out according to you.

My "True agenda" as I have made clear to fellow Trust Members is to inform members of the facts as I see it. They have the choice to vote YES OR NO to Kelly Marie Wilson being elected onto the Trust Board.

Indeed in the case of Biarni Eyvindsson the Club Doctor, I could have pointed out to members of the statement by the players on the Club Twitter account which reads "We have arguably the best part time physio and doctor employed at the Club and would hate for anything to cause these ties to be severed. They are integral for the group and the Club as a whole"

Seems to me and any other person is what they are saying is that if the Club Directors are removed both these men would resign. Is that not your understanding of what it  meant. ?

If that is the case it again asks questions as to why the good doctor has now put himself forward to be elected to the Trust Board. ? Seems strange to me and any other person why he would do this.

  6. Well that was unexpected, felt that if we played to our potential then we might just have sneaked it but no, 1 nil up after 2 minutes, great strike from Dale Carrick. Then a few minutes later the sending off, Stenny down to 10 men really helped.

We should have scored more goals in the first half but the Stenny keeper denied us on a couple of occasions.

Half time 1-0 and looking good and we get another soon after the restart from Robert Thompson to make it 2-0. Stenny imo did not have much up front, passed the ball well but very little penetration.

The 3rd goal great finish from Carrick one on one with the keeper to wrap up the points and we kept a clean sheet as well, good performance to get our first win of the season. Let’s hope we can push on from here, Annan away next week it will be tough but we will go in confident.

I see that the Stenny fans are to be occupying the East Stand, apparently to avoid the like of the pie-throwing incidents when the two sides met last season.

Does anyone know if we have now permanently excluded the so-called casuals who infested the Morrisons end of the West stand?  They were not at all in evidence at the Elgin game and I understand that they had been ejected at the Peterhead game for vaping and using foul and abusive language to the stewards.

I see that there is a video clip on YouTube showing these idiots with lit flares on Forthside Way on their way to the Aberdeen game.  They set the undergrowth alight with the result that the fire brigade had to be called to extinguish the fire.

These troublemakers haven't even got the courage to show their faces on the videos they post under the ridiculous name of the 1945 Crew.  They are bad news for the club.

Bit surprised they are opening the East Stand to house the Stenny fans. Given the numbers that usually turn up would have thought the Monument end of the West Stand would have been more than adequate for them.

Regarding the 1945 crew, they have had a few chances but it seems that they want to misbehave. They have got to get it into their heads, their is a fine line they cannot cross and if they do they will be punished. Would rather see them at games but if they continue to misbehave then maybe its time to take action.

Lets hope if they appear on Saturday that they screw the nut, if not they now what to expect.

  8. Don`t know what to expect in the first local derby of the season on Saturday. Will it be the team that fought back to get a point against I thought a poor Elgin side or will it be the team that conceded 2 goals in the first half to Elgin. ?

We shall have to wait and see but lets hope our defence is at the top of its game against Stenny. Can`t afford to play like we did the in the first half against Elgin and the first 4 mins against Dumbarton if we are to get anything from this game.

Prediction call me a fool but think we might just sneak this one 2-1. 😀

Committees have appointed the last few managers, not just SB.

Think it is common knowledge who SB wanted before the club appointed Dave Mackay but let’s just ignore that and blame him anyway!

So what you are saying that Stuart Brown who has been Chairman for nearly 8 years and has overseen this Club going backwards in his time in charge is entirely blameless for what is happening at the Club. ?

The fact is like the managers he has helped appoint its pretty clear he is past his sell by date and should be replaced by somebody else more capable of getting this Club promoted out of this League. He`s had his chance and failed.

    Correct

Rhliston doesn't know how a football club works. He think's Stuart Brown gives the team talks, picks the starting XI, does the tactics and scouts & signs players.

Really 😂 For your information TheWestStand isn`t that what the Club hires a manager for,. The man picking the team etc is called Darren Young and has been in post for a numbers of months now.

Surprised you did not know that.

  11. Echo the sentiments of the previous poster BB_Bino we gave away two bad goals in the first half to go in 2-0 down.

Second half we had a go and had Elgin on the back foot, good goal from Thompson to get us back into the match and the equaliser from Denholm was only what we deserved, indeed we could have won it and it would have no more than we deserved for our 2nd half fightback.

Sending off for Elgin justified by his constant fouling during the game. 2 points dropped yesterday its a game we should have won.

Re the situation at the back did notice that McGeachie playing left back and Cummins at right back. Don`t understand what DY was thinking yesterday by doing this. Also felt that the central pairing of McLean and McGregor did not have the best of games yesterday.

Injury to Carrick is a worry lets hope its not serious can`t afford to lose him for a few weeks.

Onwards to Stenny next week and hopefully a better performance from our defence.

Surely Stuart should  be judged on the balance sheet and not on the day to day football matters which is Darren’s job 👍

Stuart Brown should be judged on the balance sheet ! Rubbish as Chairman of this Club for nearly 8 years, this Club has gone backwards on the field. As Chairman he has failed to deliver despite hiring and sacking on most occasions managers who he helped appoint to get us promoted out of this League.

The most important thing at this Club like any other Club is the team on the park. Get that right and supporters will be happy. Get it wrong and supporters will be unhappy. The performances over the last couple of years have been poor to say the least. Its time for him to go.

So, in summary, a whole raft of club board supporters with no previous attachment to or interest in the club suddenly joined the trust.

Some of those people signed a resolution to get rid of the trust board individually despite having no knowledge of the people on that board.

Some of those people are now seeking to be elected to the trust board despite having no previous connection to the club and, in some instances, publicly denouncing fan ownership.  And this despite the fact that the whole point of the trust is to promote and embrace fan ownership.

Well, that's not at all suspicious or mad or sinister.

Spot on lets hope the members are not fooled.

As for your remarks about the Club Doctor by the players, I must have missed that.

The players put out a statement on the Club Twitter account about the situation what is going on and said it would be a shame to lose the Physio and the Club Doctor. I think most people took it that if the Club Board are removed that they would leave the Club.

Also the Club Doctor was one of those who signed a resolution to have the Entire Trust Board removed without giving a reason why they wanted them all removed. Find it strange he now want`s to join the Trust Board. 🤨 (You can read the full statement on Page 36 of this thread)

  15. Further to what already been said, Trust Members received official notification of the Trust AGM to be held on the 18th of August.

7 people have put their names forward to be elected onto Trust Board. Some of those who have their names forward you have to wonder why they are standing given some of their comments on Facebook posted by them.

Also includes the Club Doctor ! Given what the players said in their Twitter Statement about him, find it very strange he is standing. Also the Wellbeing and Child Protection Officer for the Club and Junior Academy is also standing for the Trust Board.

Resolution by Alasdair Dunn regarding the Articles of Association at the Club that require to be updated to bring them in line with other Fan owned Clubs.

Also a resolution to remove one member of the Trust Board for allegations of miss conduct.

  16. Agree with a lot of what you say BB_Bino after a poor start at Dumbarton last week this is a game we need to win. Our home form over the last couple of years has been poor and that must change if we are too have any chance of getting out of this League.

The red card to Clark last week does not help us in a position that has been a problem spot for us for a couple of years now. Who takes over it will be interesting, Cummins has played at that position for Stranraer before he joined us, so I would suspect he will play their unless injuries to other players prevent it.

Next game after this is Stenny at home and that will be tough I suspect. Lets hope for the best on Saturday and 3 points at 4.50.

In the league cup game Cummins was caught out time and time again at RB.  I assumed McGeachie was injured or the manager was experimenting.  If the latter, the experiment did not work.

It did not appear to work yesterday either.  What's McGeachie done to get dropped in favour of a player who's worse in that position?

Cummins played at left back for Stranraer before he joined us. If McGeachie was injured what about Banner, he has played right back before.

  18. Well that was a good start for us at the start of the new season, down 2-0 after 4 mins. Didn`t create much of note in the 1st half. Second half we were a bit better, Dumbarton have to thank their keeper for a couple of good saves to deny us, but the red card from Clark shocker, just what you need when your 2.0 down.

Onwards to Elgin next week at home, need to win after this display today.
