Yes, I agree. Levein has built some good football teams at previous clubs and might well do so with Saints. But he once played a 4-6-0 formation and some people are not willing to let that go. I feel Johnoswald is one of them.

I think what makes Saints fans enthusiastic about yesterday is getting our first away win of the season, a striker who showed great composure for the goal and generally being in a much better place than three months ago. No-one thinks we're a good team suddenly, but there's definitely a chance of staying up and that looked extremely unlikely under McLean. Get to the summer and clear out the rest of the deadwood and build from there.

I completely agree with this. After those nine games I was utterly convinced we'd be relegated, probably by a huge margin. I dreaded match days, and hated seeing a club legend performing so terribly as manager. We're a long way from being a good side yet, but Levein has done a fantastic job so far as far as I can see. Good signings, chopped some deadwood (hopefully a couple more in the next few weeks). I enjoyed yesterday mainly because we dug in well in the second half and deservedly went on to win the match. I have no sympathy for a club that appoints utter wankers as manager. A known racist, followed by a greeting pussed, drivelling headcase. No doubt if and when they get relegated, they will sack Adams and replace him with Joey fucking Barton!

That's actually a pretty accurate assessment of the whole Bair thing tbh. I doubt if many Saints players have had such support from the fan base in terms of them wanting a player to be a success, but he just wasn't good enough. The last game of last season was a prime example, he came on as sub and looked completely out of his depth. As much as the fans wanted him to succeed, I doubt if many disagreed with the decision to let him go.

I agree that the standard of the league has dropped dramatically. I disagree that this shower can achieve top six. It's easy to say it's only five points, we need to get them though. Unless we make two more very good signings.

I've seen folk on here and other platforms prattling on about getting tip six. It's time to get fucking real, we should be absolutely delighted if we finish 10th. This squad needs some serious reshaping in the summer. The Kane thing is a mystery. If he's fit and they don't want him in the team, why wasn't he allowed to go when his contract finished in January?
