Would imagine so pal, the case for me is the facts that everything was done using the correct and identified channels. Only reason for official checks is to avoid things like this happening imo. Mistakes can happen but ejecting the club for seemingly someone else’s mistake is rightly being challenged as I see it.

Think suggesting that would be my response is ridiculous, I do mess around on here but if you’re taking that from what I said that’s more reflective of you. Said earlier based on the statement it’s likely been a mistake by the cup and then by Talbot by not picking up on the mistake. I wonder that as three out of the four times for the SAME GAME the process worked as it presumably has every game/season prior. Rather than the likes of the cup saying it’s a mistake we’ve made, (suggested the double barrel surname not flagging as it’s likely an honest mistake like that) these things happen, instead no one is holding their hands up aside from Talbot who are paying the full price. TALBOT BAD! That draws more attention imo and can see it played out across social medias for what could have been resolved in 2 minutes. Do we end up with proof of communications in the press? Video conferences clips being investigated by the SFA/independent member? Someone other than Talbot owning up likely wont change the outcome but at least promote some trust for us fans and may help prevent it happening again in my own unhinged/crazy opinion.

No, paperwork aside should always be a last resort over turning a result never mind removing someone from a cup.

Indeed fella, had it not been an emergency loan the media team may have had the chance to look at the player and perhaps could have spotted it as trolllad points out. However going by the statement, if you’ve seemingly documented checks you conduct for all signings, in this example 4! Which appears to have got at three of them correct it’s hard to justify then going on to cross examine them. It’s apparently the cup themselves, no a random on google. If it’s an honest mistake by someone due to the double barrel surname for example, then that should be said. Not boot a team out of a cup, The loss of earnings and drawing endless attention to the matter in what? An effort to protect a possible mistake? Hope Talbot appeal

Yup processes are there for reasons, important details are looked at, doesn’t satisfy the TALBOT BAD crowd but sure a few folk interested to find out how it occurred and how it could be avoided in future likely.
