  1. Obviously a great result  but it doesnt change anything or mean anything unless there is consistency and not this constant bottling it in crunch games.

I dont want to pour cold water on what is a great result and a rare chance for us to celebrate a big win but anything other than promotion would mean a total flop of a season especially given the players we have signed.

  2. SF should do a Neil Warnock and just call it a day.For his own mental health and the well being of his family(i understand he has a domestic issue but dont know what exactly). This could be a get out excuse without him losing face.

It would be relief all round. The rest of the season is just so predictable if he stays.

As others mentioned the goal went in and i didnt care......just expected it.Its sad when it gets to that point.

  3. Good result.I reckon another 8 points are needed to get 4th place.Whether we go up or not will depend on our state of mind come May and the fight left in our potential opponents.Peterhead are flagging just now but that could easily chnge. We are4th yet it seems we have been flagging all season. Really hope we do it but that would mean even more years of SF.What a shite situation to be in.

Boycotting and protesting would only make the local board retreat further into their bunker.  Farrell is on a contract to the end of next season so he's not going anywhere willingly.

It's an awful situation and it may take a failure to finish in the top four for anything to happen.

Its true SF can stay unless pushed but Im not sure that the board will dig in.They are pretty sensitive to the fans as without us their game is up.Not sure how we would organise it but pressure needs to be brought upon them and change is needed desperately.Even as you say SF will not give up even if we miss out on top 4.

    FARRELL OUT.

Every chance that when we go to East Fife on 9th March that a win for them will take them above us.

EF are a great example of a club appointing a good manager and seeing results go well for them right from the off.Wouldnt surprise me if they go up via playoffs this season. We  missed a trick with Naysmith Mccall and Campbell who are all great managers at this level. We have had a good budget and should be out or getting out of this league. We have to put pressure on the board to act otherwise we are LL in 2025.

Having said that personal insults vs Farrell is out of order and may only harden his resolve. We need a change and we have to apply pressure either boycotting or protesting officially at games. We need to act somehow to change the status quo.

  6. Its so frustrating watching us haemorrage points like we do.Thats another 2 thrown away.SF not that bothered .We are like a broken record. We need to seriously apply pressure on the board to remove him.Its glaringly obvious he isntup to it.Our shape yesterday was totally gone in the 2nd half and our defending, despite having decent defenders, is woeful.A paradox only SF can explain. He is way out of his depth at managerial level. If we had a  Dick Campbell we would win this league with relative ease.Gary Naysmith is proving my point at Stenny ..a good manager at this level with a decent squad, running away with it.

Thought Healy was decent yesterday along with Ruth , Carlo and Div.Actually thought Blair Malcolm was decent enough ysterday picking up and winning a lot in midfield.Secong half our shape went to shit and the midfield disappeared literally.Lennon was decent enough going forward but has no pace and is caught out of position time and again.Playoffs is the best we can get but it is not a given. If we do make it I cant honestly see it ending any different to the last 2 seasons.

    FARRELL OUT.

  7. Good win on the road no doubt about that.Great to get a clean sheet.

After all the ins and outs of this transfer market and given the injuries we have I feel we are a weaker squad than back in August.Looking at the bench we really only have Kelly or Hilton whocould maybe change a game but even then neither are particularly spectacular from what ive seen.Kelly is very early days of course but I do feel we are weaker as a squad.Definitely need Durnan back too but im not sure we will this season.

Another forward before the window shuts might not be a bad idea.

Somebody give me a shout when this season's over.

I think this is most people's overriding feeling.Whats the point?

It is true we have had hideous luck or bad luck with injuries which has not helped at all. This season reminds me of 90/91, for those of a vintage, which was identical to this one in that sign new players they get crocked immedieately. That being said at that time I had confidence in Billy Lamont something I am devoid of in SF.He would make a good assistant and is good at recruiting but as someone mentioned onhere as a manager his level is WOS league.

After the Stiring game last year where we lost 6 nil i had a rant about SF as I was convinced he wasnt the man for the job.I was chastised by some on here for being a knicker-wetter but to me it was obvious even back then and without the benefit of hindsight that he is not up to the job.I stand by that and my feeling is just what OKI put above...i have zero expectations or hope for this year. The board need to do the right thing and change manager. We missed a trick in Ian Mccall as I think he would have been the perfect choice...see what he would do with this team.Probably whay GN is doing with Stenny.

The hope now is to stay up this year...seriously...get 40 points ..ssure safety and hope for the best for next year which even as I write this is cringeworthy, as it will be more of the same but probably worse.

Sorry for all the negativity but its my honest appraisal of the situation.

Not sure if he is talking about one of the others but sounds like Ray reckons it was deflected rather than a brilliant strike?

I assume Forfar will have highlights. Are they quite sharp getting them up usually?

    Rayman speak with fork tongue,

Any snake references are purely coincidental.

  10. Great win in the circumstances but our squad is getting towards the threadbare situation.Hopefully Durnan and ryan wallace back next week and also hope Carlo is not a bad injury.Even so we look every bit a play off team this season.Im guessing 3rd place will be out goal as we are incapable of winning crunch matches.

We need to keep winning for now before stenny make the leap into hyperspace and win the league by the end of January. The SC looks like being our interest for the rest of the season before the inevitable car crash in the playoffs.Oh well theres always next year.....

Yes we are probably not far from popping here at some point over the weekend.

It would never be my choice for the birth to be here in Vatican City but at least I can get the stream legally.

People back home on those VPN's are the pariahs of our society.

Stream working fine for the past 2 months more or less.No real issues.

Good luck with all the rest.

  12. The draw is hardly perfect and I think it would have been better if the game was away for the same reasons outlined above. However for sporting integrity I would be against switching the tie or playing at a neutral venue. If its at home its at home end of.

The real problem though is we will not earn what we should as the costs of putting the game on  with stewarding and policing would erode our cut of the gate.Im guessing we could earfn about 20k in gate receipts but im guessing the stewarding would devour that.Best scenario would be if the police decide the tie should be switched and we pocket a few more quid.Realistically we are not progressing anyway.

  13. Delighted for the players who obviously dug in didnt fold and got the win. That is something we havent seen a lot of lately ( exception vs banks o dee) in the league at least.Lets hope his is some sort of turnaround and that SF proves all the doubters on here..me being probably first on the list ...totally and utterly wrong.I really genuinely hope he does.

Well done Sons. Real memories of the binos game back in 2001 even if the scoring was slightly different.Looking forward to see highlights.

  14. Lynas was standout with Blair Malcolm a close second.Tremendous shift from both and Blairs work was immense in mopping up dangerous situations.Longs save was pure class as he had nothing else to do all game.Great concentration.

We missed Shiels today no doubt and the bench is getting thin on the ground.Really need Durnan Shiels and Byrne back to add depth. On another day we would have got beat 1 nil for sure .We need to take our chances when they come .At peterhead it will be a massive game where we will need a great performance to get anything at all.
