  1. That performance was inexcusable..like the worse pre-season dross.
  2. This absolutely. We are only going down with him. I warned a lot of you after the Stirling game that we had been found out or more to the point SF had been found out.Shitefesting our way to 1 nil wins with eyesore football. He talks the talk but cannot walk the walk.Big games and we shite it. We need change NOW.Otherwise the only winner in this will be Hosie and the demise of our club.
  3. Great result that builds towards the playoffs. Despite what some say we can Definitely win the playoffs as we are going into them with a fuller squad . Most injured players returning next week and given we have a few signed up the desire will be there( ok it should be there anyway because their pros but every little helps) to be playing in L1 as that will probably mean extra wages too. Looking likely to be Annan which will be tough but it is winnable providing we have a reasonably fully fit squad.
  4. Perhaps predictably the season is ending in a bit of a shit show both on and off the field. There is very little we as fans can do in the short term to solve off field problems other than pressure the board. What we can do is get behind the team and SF for these last few games .Im almost certain we will make the playoffs and we shoud be looking at getting as full a squad as possible for them.Getting promotion I feel is an absolute MUST as life in L1 will mean more finances and also a barrier to dropping into the LL.If we stay down I genuinely fear for next season as I think finances will dictate a smaller or poorer squad than we have now.Although I have been a strong advocate of sticking SF in the Leven right now all we can do is back him and the players for the genuine sake and future of our club.
  5. This falls into a must win category.A very tall order given our injury situation. We will set up ultra defensive to try and snatch a goal on the break but really I cant see us having many chances.Forfar have gone ff the boil a bit but are still very hard to beat.A draw might be possible but wouldbnt be of much use to us. What we really need is a ref that gives us everything to keep the title race alive.
  6. Definitely Gayfield.Happened inside the Arbroath box.He seemed to kick the ground and not the ball.I can still hear his cry of 'AH..SHITE'.Realised it was a sore one. I met him some years ago by chance at Edinburgh airport and he immedieately rattled of the date that it happened.Obviously a tipping point in his life.
  7. I agree with what you say Jan and I think this feeling of dread that is hangin over the club is a hangover from last season.Fans on here can say what they want that its a new season, different league , different squad but the thing that hasnt changed is the manager and lastyear was such a debacle that that trauma doesnt go away over one summer. Its like we are expecting the inevitable decline or bubble to burst and when you are living in anxiety its hard to be enthusiastic. The Binos on the otherhand are coming from a totally different viewpoint , they are having a good season and are things are positive also because they have a good manager who has them playing decent football and not the kind of performances we usually put in.We win and it seems like a defeat at times as we suck the life out of the game to win 1 nil. Some might say who cares as long as we win but this way of playing just adds to the gloom mentioned by others on here.
  8. Div being out is a blow .He brings another dimension to our play in some games and Wallace is also effective on his day.The only silver lining to these PP fixtures is it gives the 2 of them time to recover.
  9. Probably the forecast for the bahamas .If this is off we are going to have a pretty big fixture pile up in April.Great for a promotion push.
  10. Doubtlessly the club will have a counter argument to what Dumbarton Rock has said. But bottom line look at the pitch he left ( like a bowling green) to the shit show we have now.The groundsman obviously takes a lot of the blame but he is working alone and the club have not prioritised the pitch despite the importance it has in a footballing sense ( not to mention financial as mentioned above with games off hospitality revenue lost etc). What they have prioritised is giving SF et al a new and I assume improved contract( albeit from next season) for a season that is very far from over.So there is cash, probably and likely , for that, but not the pitch. As Moonster mentioned above it is self-defeating to abandon the pitch the way they have .Maybe I'm wrong about the new contract but one thing SF is excellent at is talking the talk and lets be honest everyones in it for themselves and what they can get out of the game.
  11. LOL that would be great ...Binos fans singing the Addams Family while tossing our entire board in the Leven.
  12. What would be the long term implications of that? Pitch totally screwed?
  13. Awful Dyslexia or ripping off Fawlty Towers i'll continue to follow microdave's request of silly misspelling. Rovers fans take no offence BTW ...you're my 2nd fav club and Cliftonhill one of my fav grounds.Really want you to stay up by hook or by crook. Anyway , any chance of this going ahead?I'd call a pitch inspection now or move the game to the Bahamas.
  14. f**k all will be done about it.Groundsman will turn up saturday morning and say ..games aff...then go back to the 19th hole.
  15. Our OS went from being one of the best inall the leagues to a shithouse that i dont even bother going on now.Why dont they just go back to the old one which was perfect as far as i am concerned.
  16. Im probably way off but wasnt this guy appointed after Steele left? Lockdown has thrown me off sync with dates etc
  17. Whats more I think DR would still be interested in the gig..knows the ground really well. But politics politics politics...
  18. The bunkers were playable deffo..so therefore.....
  19. Its obvious we need a groundsman that cares and not some croney who is golf buddy with members of the DFC board.
  20. I am no expert but if Dumbarton Rock were still groundsman im quite sure todays shambles would not have happened/Im not saying the game would be on but at least some fore-warning would have occurred.I do feel disappointed at the game being off. I know there is an issue with Antonia which is a real shame as I think she is doing a good job at the club as far as I can tell from off-field activities.I wish she could live up to her surname and welcome DR back with open arms!!! As for us it might be good for the players to get a rest and maybe recover a bit for saturday.Sometimes a PP is a blessing but sometimes it backfires.Binos certainly going to have a wee glut of midweek games.
  21. Aye but our pitch is New Boghead ..anything is possible..infact if a dug pees on it, its waterlogged.
  22. Will continue with thread thing until we lose.Hopefully not anytime soon.
  23. Superb result Well done Sons...looks like a great team effort.
