At least we get compensation for him and according to the article he's heading to England or abroad so we dont have to worry about facing him. He's a talented player of that there is no doubt but he's still raw and lacks the finished article to his ball-winning/retention.
Difference with Dan for me is that when he wins the ball you can be confident he can hold it up and keep possession - The difference last night with him in midfield compared to Airdrie was night and day.
I'll be disappointed if he goes and probably more so if its to another SPFL club.
Smith coming in could be a good option for midfield but given Kane/Clark's fitness issues, May's age and DJ and Benjis lack of experience I'd prioritise a striker over another midfielder.
I think its a case of get a quick statement out now and a longer one to follow later. Macca was in charge of training this morning so obviously he was only told at lunchtime.
This - unfortunately Covid has probably lost us a load of good prospects since they've missed out on a year of progression (e.g. John Robertson) but Ballantyne has looked good and I've been impressed with Ferguson when I've seen him.
Yes - probably covers a bit more investment in things like the youth academy, coaching, scouting, contract renewals as well as potential future transfer fees. That's fair enough.
Its a good statement - possibly should have been put out earlier.
