  1. Would you get many folk turning up if you're forced to watch the match ? It's a while yet before season tickets etc go on sale. Lots of time to get something organised once the season is over and a new manager is in place to organise something plus it was only a few weeks ago they had the meet the board members pub events where anyone could ask anything.
  2. Any team with Josh Todd as it's captain should fit in pretty well at this level.
  3. Jesus wept . The bod will be judged by what happens on the park this season just like any other board. However, we have to give them the chance to get things organised both on and off the park. These guys stepped into their roles having never ran a football team in their lives before and are obviously having to learn on the job extremely quickly. It's not been helped by the goings on of the previous bod whose actions run from simple incompetence to downright illegal. It's a difficult time to.be a Falkirk fan . The team have been a disgrace all season and the appointment of Rennie was the wrong move and the bod fully accept that . There's absolutely no guarantee that rice would've done much better mind you considering the players at his disposal. The next appointment has to be right though . I'm confident it isn't going to be Kenny miller though no matter how much his media chums are trying to bum him up. It's the end of the season and people leave clubs. Has anyone actually asked the lady in catering why she is moving on for instance before deciding it's the new board that's pissed her off ? The bad eggs are slowly being weeded out the club thankfully and I'm not talking about the lady in catering or other people who have given up their time to help the club in good ways over the years before anyone. However, some are still hanging clinging on when they should be banned from going anywhere near the place. The damage they have caused both on and off the park cannot be under estimated and I'm sure the current guys are desperate to air what's been going on at the right time and without getting these individuals any chance to attack the club legally. They're currently having to work 7 days a week to fix these problems whilst uncovering new issues all the time. The season finishes this weekend and hopefully after that things will start coming together with a new manager announcement a reasonable clear out of the squad and some new players we can actually be proud of in the navy blue. This bod like any others though won't have a free pass for ever. We need to see improvement on the park this season and for me that means at least a playoff spot . I am though confident that at least the guys in charge are Falkirk through and through and not just people seeking blazers and an addition to their CVS. Thankfully this season is nearly over let's get behind the club give these guys a proper chance to get things right and then if they fail sure criticise they shouldn't get treated differently from any other bod we've had . I'm sure a chairman will be appointed in due course but at the moment it's the least of our worries . I'd rather wait for the right appointment then be left with a Gary deans, Margaret Lang or Doug Henderson in charge.
  4. Is it not bloody obvious ? It's easy to fecking type. . If someone put tb would anyone know what they were meaning FFS
  5. Exactly. We need to at least give the new bod a bit of time to sort things out both on and off the field. They need a full season to judge them on.
  6. Rice didn't get the job simple as that. So far at alloa the teams he's beaten are the teams you'd expect alloa to beat. The dross in other words.
  7. I think the plan is to set up some kind of meeting although whether it would be a full public one or an egm I've no idea. I think they are spending all they're time currently trying to fix the mess and have feck all time for anything else at the moment. Hopefully they will get the club back to a situation where they can start concentrating wholly on the future and not mainly on the bloody past.
  8. Unfortunately it's the previous incompetents that have created the utter chaos. I just hope some of the stuff that's been going on becomes public knowledge at some point to show up these utter charlatans that were wrecking our club.
  9. Well mcgivern leaving had zero to do with the new board. It depends on who these people are. Could be all sorts of reasons why they are moving on. The whole club needs a complete shake up from top to bottom.
  10. Probably says more about the players than Hartley. We seem to have had squads of complete shitebags for seasons now lead by nicey nice managers who love them because they're great in training. Footballs a tough game and too many modern day players want an easy life. You look at the players Hartley has now like vigurs and Reynolds they'll not crumble under their manager giving them a complete roasting I can assure you of that.
  11. Tongue in cheek but I just recall all the clamour back in the 90s was about us doing that and yet noone criticises Arbroath for not spending all their cash doing up their ground.
  12. He's started 26 games this season and virtually every one since McInnes turned them around so he can't be doing that bad.
  13. Just shows you what you can do when your not playing alongside Gary miller every week.
  14. Good to see Arbroath getting their just desserts. Should've been spending money on their stadium instead of players.
  15. Think we're telling the players it's east Fife.
  16. Standard in the championship looks the worst ever if that's the top two sides. Arbroath giving everything as you say but look very limited Haven't been out their half for most of the second half. Killie the better quality but haven't created any where near enough clearcut chances. Refs had an absolute stinker too.
  17. The 90k though was alongside sizeable grants from the SFA back then . As far as I'm aware you can only move up an academy level every 3 years too and we have to decide that just now and we just aren't in a financial position to do so so I'd expect it to be another 3 years before we look at expanding into under 11s etc. Hopefully by then we'll be back in the championship at least. At the moment though the b team seems like a far more realistic idea.
  18. Unfortunately youth development has to be at the very back of the bods priority's at the moment simply due to the amount of work required to get the club on an even keel. The bod are working 7 days a week to sort out the financial mismanagement left by the previous incumbents so I wouldn't expect them to just say to folk just now I here's 90k for this or that. At the moment we have a 16s and 18s. No idea how good they are as they are playing against shite most weeks at this level unfortunately. I've no idea what the previous boards plans were for the player pathway but I don't see how adding an under 11s side into the mix who can't play anyone was going to make things any better. The clubs finances need cleared up first before money can start going to things like more youth teams. New screw ups and dodgy deals by deans band of merry men are being uncovered by the day so its not going to happen overnight. Add to that the fact we need a new manager and new first 11 and I'm sure we can see that there isn't much time for much else at the moment. I'm sure the idea of the b team will be taken further at some stage but at the moment there's a lot bigger fish to fry than youth development at the moment.
  19. That's not true the bod are definitely looking at the possibility of having a b team in the lowland leagues. Otherwise the 16s and 18s are all we need just now. No need for under 11s etc . Once we are out of league one we can then look at expanding but it's not something we should be jumping into at the moment and spending more cash on. Fergus's idea of bringing in an under 11s side was sheer stupidity for a side languishing in the third division.
  20. Obviously. If he says he doesn't want one then they won't have one but the plan is being considered if the manager agrees with it.
  21. Yes there is. I can assure you. It's no going to be Kenny bloody miller.
  22. As far as I know there are plans to have a b team which would play in one of the lowland leagues .
  23. Even when dowds came back he still had a number of honking games. He was limited but certainly better than Wilson or ompreon that's for sure. Will be interesting to see how he does at thistle but he's certainly no Zak rudden. When it was decided to introduce some sort of youth program it was supposed to be a cut down version to start with which would hopefully be expanded at some point in the future. Why then did Fergus suddenly start expanding the whole set up before we were in a position to actually afford it properly. We have a setup at the same level as Raith and they have had a good degree of success bringing in players. To start under 11s etc you need to go back up to the same level of academy we had previously and there is no way we can afford that in our current state. Bringing in u11s was a crazy idea and thankfully the new bod put the kybosh on it quickly. They are all guys who know the value of having a good youth academy but also realise that the club just can't afford it just now.
