  1. Was OK, he needs to work on his passing, you can tell he's a young guy
  2. I feel like it could/should have been another mode on the game, I know people will compare it to fifa and football manager, but I don't think there is the depth available for it to be stand alone
  3. When the lowland league was set up, bonnyton were already playing at that level of football, The difference with Threeve Rovers is the league had already started up so they went to the bottom
  4. I was in last week as an away fan and they had hibs v rangers on, Good wee setup
  5. Annan who were amongst alot of people's favourites but are struggling, travel to Cliftonhill to play a Rovers team who last week finally got the 3 points their play has deserved It will be a good game I reckon Rovers have been playing well and managed to leave Bonnyrigg last week with a deserved 3 points and a clean sheet Will Annan's penalty shootout win take a toll on their fitness levels this weekend, and has it just not clicked for them yet this season?
  6. I think you are spot on with the basics in this league, especially when its as close as it is now Paul Martin had huge success with an Albion Rovers squad who outperformed themselves, simply by making them have a bigger team spirit than everyone else and not conceding too many goals, No video analysis or data just stop the other team scoring then grab a goal or two at the other end
  7. I still think rhere is more to come, for the first 70 mins we really dominated the game, and for the full 90 really limited Bonnyrigg to very few chances never mind good ones. I think if we keep playing the way we are there will be a time where everything clicks and we really give someone a propper going over.
  8. The Rovers I will argue suffer from this problem more than any other club in the country, With the background coatbridge has, the town effectively being founded by Irish Catholic immigrants, the town still has a massive majority of people from a Catholic background. No matter what anyone says, this has always been played on by Celtic, and therfore there is a majority of people who support them. It is also only 8 miles from the town center to Celtic Park, making it very easy to get to, driving, trains and buses. You can even walk to celtic park in 2.5 hours. Coatbridge doesn't have a dislike for the Rovers, quite the opposite. People look fondly on them, but that's all they do, look. It's hard but it's somthing they have become used to, it's accepted we will never have a regular massive support.
  9. Rovers made 6 or 7 changes to their starting line up from Saturdays game, Finished the game with 2 first team players on the pitch, I dont think we were that bothered by this cup and rightly have an eye on Saturdays game v east fife
  10. I was speaking to him and he has been training with you for 4 weeks He takes a special type of manager to take charge of him and a special type of squad, which is why he done so well for us, particularly under Paul Martin
  11. He moved to cowdenbeath during the summer, At times he was great, strolled round the park like he owned it and had scouts watching him from bigger clubs But his lethargic style that made him look good also made him prone to mistakes that usually led to goals He was on the bench only really got a start when others were injured
  12. Going to be interesting v a team who I think will finish the season by lifting the trophy, Rovers have a tough start to the campaign, but have shown that if the starting 11 is fit we can compete, Dumbarton will line up with 5 ex-rovers players in the squad, including Byrne up front, whose 2 goals last week equaled his total amount of goals last season at Rovers (1 in the league Cup then 1 in the league on the openning day of the season) I was a bit gutted for him, he played in a game v cowdenbeath on the 11th September, then didn't play until the 15th of January, got injured again at the start of March and missed the last 10 games of the season. I also noticed he has been subbed either on or off in all his games for Dumbarton this season, meaning not only hadn't he scored since last August but he still hasn't played a full 90 Minutes either
  13. Played his best football running at goal, but doesn't score enough He got 4 v st mirren B in the challenge Cup, then only scored 4 in the league all season
  14. You can't say "Albion Rovers have just scudded them" as if it's a massive slagging when only a week ago Livi nearly threw away a 3 goal lead against us
  15. A good win that we were worthy of especially in second half
  16. Good win for Rovers v Kelty, second half rovers ran over the top of them and were well worthy in the end
  17. I would want to kick on, we were in with a chance of play offs even with 7 or 8 games left last season, should have/could have finished higher in the league, A oiling bottom is a big thing but we will see how the season goes
  18. Think cove got away with one tonight, if they play like that in the championship surely they will get relegated McAlister should be binned for his penalty, Walked up and dinked it in only for the ref to award Rovers an indirect free kick ashe stopped during his run up. Logan took a dive for the penalty anyway so it was justice done Does he run around everywhere with his shorts tucked into his undershorts? Must have thought he would have walked it. Was far from it
  19. We are usually ranked outsiders, Even the season we won the league we were 20/1 or somthing, even though we had a good squad We have been favourites to finish bottom 3 years I'm a row now
  20. Disappointed with the loss in the end though livi were the better team A hard group for us
