  1. That’s not a strong argument that though for the point you’re trying to make. The Bo’ness squad that started the season was more than capable of competing at the top end of the LL. Unfortunately one man’s constant needless tinkering plus some utterly baffling selections and tactics ensured that those hopes were down the pan fairly swiftly.
  2. Stow is obviously a talent but what level folk think he could play it is all just conjecture and based on what he does for the Rose now. Any perceived strengths and weaknesses just now might be completely irrelevant at a higher level where a bigger club, better coach and better team mates might play to and develop his strengths further. I always hark back to Scott Pitmann when these kind of conversations crop up. Stood out like a sore thumb in the juniors but certainly wasn’t without his doubters that he’d be able to cut it making the jump all the way from Juniors to the then Championship.
  3. I’m having a complete blank and despite knowing the name I can’t even picture who Jack Smith is or what position he played.
  4. Whilst not actual strips, those 90s “leisure shirts” that everyone thought were away, third, training kits at the time were awful. As was being reminded how awful they were more recently by an abundance of far east repro versions on the backs of neds at the Euros.
  5. As you’d expect from the only horse in a one horse race.
  6. Seek help ya roaster. Away and spam your own teams thread.
  7. Slavering idiot. Clown. Absolutely spot on.
  8. More clueless fantasist garbage from Auld Gravy-blood.
  9. Si Ferry and Slaney are a pair of weirdos. Open Goal is dreadful and their patter is rotten. The podcast after Bo’ness v Broomhill was a lot of absolute pisschat. Yes, they took utter pelters off the Bo’ness young team but the claims that shouts included “Yer maw’s a mattress!” and “I hope you die!” were complete jackanory and just simply didn’t happen.
  10. I have had a strong hatred for Serj Pizorno ever since his volley in winkle pickers on this show. Great skill but the way he just walked off after with that false swagger and ditched his jacket in the car park was utter cringe. p***k. His band are bang average too.
  11. Courtney LaPlante’s voice is incredible.
  12. They shouldn’t cancelled it 10 years ago. It was a long slow painful death but was never the same after Lovejoy left. Very much a product of its time tying in well with the Brit-pop and Lad-culture eras from the mid 90s to early ‘00s.
  13. Or Bo’ness Athletic for these very reasons. Could just give folks posts a like instead of recycling what they said like you’ve got a scooby. Christs breeks! The actual nick of that statement!
  14. Yep, the women’s stable going all NWO with the spray paint is 20+ years outdated tiresome pish, although in the long run the inevitable break up and potential feuds/matches between any combo of the three could be decent. Orange Cassidy is easily my favourite in AEW. The guy is simply an outstanding performer and the whole slacker gimmick just works so well, and funnily enough maybe because being that character takes little effort. Hopefully Adam Cole is alive and well, but I doubt I’d complain were he to end up off tv for a prolonged spell again. Personally have found AEW to be a thousand percent more entertaining without him.
  15. Vince throwing spanners in right left and centre?
  16. It’s “fitbaw” right across the central belt in my experience. Think Borders are the same but reverts back to “fitba” in Dumfries & Galloway. As for things I hate about fitbaw and has probably been said already - Is the B teams being allowed into the LL.
  17. The league table makes this season all the more frustrating given teams we’ve beaten sitting above us. Best of luck to Spartans. Anyone but Rangers or Celtic.
  18. You are genuinely stupid huh? Trying to point score about dwindling supports by reminding everyone that your own supporters all walked away not so long ago
  19. I’m also losing interest but I think it’s partly down to the tedium of how long they’re dragging out the predictable, inevitable “blood-is-thicker-than-water” heel turn by Daddy Ass to screw over The Acclaimed and side with his boys.
  20. Kyle Johnston for me, closely followed by McArthur. The Athletic man’s hingin’ aboot on our thread as usual
  21. Well in hindsight, we started the season on fire with Ian Little in charge of the team. If foresight was possible for how the season would pan out, I’d reckon the majority of the support would’ve wanted Max gone back in August and Ian Little promoted to manager, so I think this will wash and the supporters will see this as the best appointment to see out this season. Also, are there any obvious stronger candidates that are available right now, or any that are likely to jump ship now if they’re currently in a manager role elsewhere? Doubtful. As for someone new coming in now and deciding who they want to keep and move on - I don’t necessarily disagree with that. However, if Ian has a successful run of results until the end of the season then I see no reason he shouldn’t be considered. Also, Ian will know the current squad and how to get the best out them. Unfortunately I think losing the likes of big Dan might hinder Ian getting us playing exactly as we did at the start of the season. With regards financial backing, it makes it all the more curious whether the other team really are little more than an ego trip for the pair behind them. If there really was any desire to benefit the town on a footballing front, why wouldn’t you just seek to invest and back an already established community club whose senior side are long established, in a higher, stronger league and had better prospects? Certainly in the short term anyway. That said, maybe they did approach United with a view to backing and getting involved but got knocked back by the committee? Highly doubtful that happened, but at the same time I really can’t fault their ambition, albeit I think “doing it for the town” was way down (if even part of) their agenda as opposed to seizing an opportunity given the ownership situation with Newtown Park.
  22. Will do “contribute nothing” Hilarious coming from the guy that once walked away from supporting the Rose to contribute ticket money to the crooks that were at Ibrox. You don’t know a thing.
