  1. Surprised that Cammy Graham has been let go. Understand the need to let players leave to free up wages but thought he was decent in the games he played and in particular when brought on v Gretna. Hopefully an improved performance tomorrow. A bit of attacking intent would be good to see. That was what the manager promised at the start of the season. Leaving at least one player up the park at a corner would be a good start. C'mon the Silky!
  2. Think he has just stopped playing. He really struggled over recent years but a shame that he has left without recognition after all the years service to the club.
  3. If you read my post, you will actually see that I was complimenting the Bo'ness supporters. I apologise if he was not a Bo'ness supporter but he was certainly shouting for them before the silence. As said, no problems with Bo'ness fans other that the old guy with his wife at the front who gave the big get it right up you when you scored at a couple of OAPs and a young girl.
  4. I thought we did ok first 30mins and unlucky not to be ahead. Really unfortunate with lob that came back off the post. End of first and beginning of second we were poor. Love really struggles with lack of pace and Sinclair really stuggles with his touch. Right back from Dundee United had a difficult day. Thought Carlos looked good and other than poor decision making leading to the free kick where Bo'ness took the lead Martins was ok beside Armstrong. Lucas tried to make things happen. Slaven could make a difference but seems to lack any urgency and was regularly offside. New low for Cowden with Todd's reaction at the goal. An awful player for us and despite being part of the team that got us relegated he received no negative comments. Seriously lacks any decency. One thing he was decent at was high balls, can't believe we didn't get players to run at him and play balls in the channels. Hopefully anyone who was in attendance at the game today places no blame on the club for the absolute tube from Bon'ess who shouted during the silence. Well done to his own supporters for their response. Really hoped for a run in the cup but not to be.
  5. Think his football career ended at the legend game. His 5 min appearance shows that he is injury prone.
  6. Has there been any further information with regards to the ground. I heard a rumour that another stock car company have recently offered 2mil+for the stock car licence and ground.
  7. Thanks for the lovely comment. The fans have really supported the shop which has allowed us to continue offering some new stock. Lucie Sue Coffee and Gifts Boutique on the High Street will have the stock available very soon also.
  8. The green stand I believe belongs to Edinburgh University. New technology!
  9. Not anything outstanding but a win and hopefully confidence moving forward. Slaven made a big difference and will be a useful addition. Thought Graham also did well when on. Ruddy in goals is certainly helping as he communicates very well. Definitely room for improvement as Edinburgh were a poor team (liked their no 11) but this result is huge and hopefully the start of a run. Hopefully 3 more points on Saturday.
  10. As others have written, guys like yourself should not be apologising. Thanks for continuing to keep the supporters updated. Hopefully see a Nelly run around the dugout celebration soon.
  11. The community trust has been a real positive. The work that is being done is brillaint for youngsters in the local community. Seeing the children at the games is amazing. Let's get them on the park at half time playing some mini games and keep the momentum moving forward. Well done to Dean, Tom and all the many others involved. The children were all extremely enthusiastic buying keyrings etc before the game which was also an added bonus. This is the future of our club!
  12. Unfortunately negativity is the case at all football clubs. The cowden fans have had a rotten time of things lately and impacting badly on morale. I and I'm sure most others never expected Cowden to challenge this season or next. I think second bottom, not looking like scoringand being mocked by opposing players is a bit of a shock. The manager in an interview promised exciting football but not yet. There are lots of fans who work extremely hard as volunteers as do members of the board and nobody is happy with how things are going. There is no magic wand but this situation maybe could have been avoided with better decisions over the years and this season. Could I or others done any better...probably not but opinions are important because we all care. I will certainly keep giving my all for the club (and voicing my praise and dissatisfaction). My parents have been on the terracing for over 50 years. This club must continue!
  13. I also counted 11 players sitting on bench/at the side of bench yesterday. We would have been better with a smaller squad and a team in under 20s development league with the likes of Hillfield, Jeanfield and Crossgates and introducing these youths when required or ready
  14. I totally agree that our small fan base no longer turning up will only create further damage. The entertainment however is absolutely abysmal and although I will continue attending I can see why this is happening. I also agree with point regarding experienced players. We have tried but players dont want to sign or offered more money elsewhere. We are unable to compete with the wages of EK, Broomhill etc. However, we are able to pay more I would think for certain than Gala, Dalbeatie, Gretna, uni teams, Cumbernauld etc but recruited wrongly. I think a manager with knowledge of non league football would know of hardy streetwise players that would grind out results. The young lads that were released at spfl level (many was out of depth) was a poor decision and confidence is already gone. This has been an extended period of disappointment but things can turn for the better through time. I can only hope!
  15. Heard something very similar. News continues to get better.
  16. All comments above pretty much sums up the day. The small but loyal support continue to show patience during the game despite an absolutely shambolic performance. Unfortunately Maurice is unable to help when the game starts but he set the team up and clearly was asking for a long diagonal ball which didn't work and never was. We will struggle to play a poorer team this season but did not trouble our ex keeper at any point. This is a young team but they need to offer more and fast. A win is hopefully just around the corner.
  17. House keys, the lot going in! Nelly must go!
  18. Some decent bits but on the whole got what we deserved. Created lots of openings on the left but no end product. Badly missing a commanding centre half. Hopefully Martins? Sinclair looked off the pace and touch was poor. Maybe rushes back a bit quick? Oh well, always next game.
  19. Anymore spaces available for last man standing?
  20. The gala is a very complicated situation. AH did a pile of work but this was alongside a very hard working committee. AH retiring was not the reason for no gala! Unfortunately firstly Covid and then following this loads of restrictions and permits being required have resulted in increased difficulty to run. You would not believe the permits that are required to close high street, setup a stage etc etc. There is also as you touched on a lack of volunteers and the small committee have worked tirelessly for years running galas, xmas events etc. There are plans for events and hopefully a gala again can happen but this needs people. The community like to complain on Facebook etc but despite asking for volunteers, nobody comes forward.
  21. What about these novelty tshirts for sale? Available in club shop!
  22. Available to purchase in club shop soon. Lots of interest already which is brilliant!
