  1. "undeserved entry into the League Cup this season"
  2. 2 shutouts in a row. Now need to start scoring goals again. We dominated the game but struggled final third. Understand why Cunningham started but offers little as an outlet. Would really like to see Ewan play through the middle again as feel he causes panic from opposition defenders. Rodden available again so will be good to see Walker back in his more comfortable position and Zak further forward. The results will come!
  3. A nice comfortable lead would need to be 4 or more goals this season. Bring a sleeping bag and you can always kip in the club shop. I will fill the coo jar with cookies.
  4. 3 of them played. All got 45mins. Refreshing to see a pathway to the first team.
  5. If we finished 6th it would be massive progress. You can't go from 16th to 1st in a season without huge investment. This would then allow us to push on the following season and also hope there is not an EK money team in the league.
  6. We should have been out of sight, although their keeper had little to do! Seem to struggle with the last phase to create openings. First goal from Braves was a good finish but they were fortunate around the opening. The second goal was inevitable and was guaranteed to come from a corner. We had about 12 corners ourselves but didn't threaten. Callum will know what is best as we look to build a winning team. Need someone that will control set pieces. It is really frustrating as Cowdenleith said but nowhere near as depressing as last season. That can never be compared too!
  7. The team was really flat today and this was a really unusual atmosphere. Think there was a bit of disappointment after recent positivity. Some real talent in this team and hopefully just an off day. Big Duncan (no 9) runs about but offers very little and his control and jumping poor. Garcia over Walker is a strange one?? Still confident this group can finish top 6 and hopefully results come again soon.
  8. The chants of Junior from what I heard and saw was due to the antics that you would have traditionally saw in a junior football game (e.g. surrounding the ref, demanding bookings and antics from the bench.) This had nothing to do with status etc.
  9. Agree with GordonS summary of the game and nobody and Cowden is happy with current ground arrangement. Unfortunately we need to make do. Agree that it was good to see a good turn out from Linlithgow and as I said earlier, lots of decemt people.
  10. Are you being serious? I have never witnessed such an odd bunch of fans. The best was the outrage from the knee pass back to keeper
  11. It was entertaining to say the least Old guy was ranting about shit hole, which I agreed. Then after a few explicits told me to come to the Lithie and see him, where he will give Cowden a 2 goal start. I gratefully accepted his kind offer only to get called a f****** Dildo! Charming! Shame as some really decent fans. The players and bench was the worse I have seen at Central in the 30 odd years I have been going. Nothing more embarrassing that regular attempts at red cards!
  12. 𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐑𝐘 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐍𝐓 We are delighted to announce that Cowdenbeath F.C. legend Neil Irvine has accepted the position of Honorary President of the Cowdenbeath Independent Supporters Society. Neil will be at the Members Update Meeting in the Andy Matthew Lounge following Saturday's game with Gala Fairydean Rovers. As previously mentioned, we'd like to invite all CISS members and all perspective members to the Andy Matthew Lounge where we will also be joined by manager Calum Elliot for a Meet The Manager session. The meeting begins at 5pm and we will welcome all contributing members of CISS with a complimentary beer/soft drink from the bar.
  13. Totally agree. Frustrated about a loss is a big step forward and shows how far we have come this season. I still believe if we had a fully fit squad, we would be sitting much higher up the league. The continued attendance of supporters is providing an excellent backing and also resulting in some additional revenue that can help develop squad further next season. Just a reminder about the meeting upstairs in the lounge on Saturday after the game. An opportunity for a CISS update for members and hopefully interested parties. We are still requiring a bigger uptake so if looking to see what it is all about, please head up. Calum will also be in attendance for meet the manager session.
  14. He is that. Unfortunately he chased money over past few years instead of playing at a higher level.
  15. Your source is once again unreliable. It was a six figure fee and some holiday vouchers for Berwick Caravan Park.
  16. Wants too much to talk so had to move to a cheaper option
  17. An announcement will also go out later this week of a well known Cowden legend that will also be joining the meeting and saying a few words.
  18. 𝐌𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 / 𝐌𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐑 Following Saturday's game with Gala Fairydean Rovers, we would like to invite all CISS members and all perspective members to the Andy Matthew Lounge in the stand. The CISS Steering Group would like to provide an update on the progress to date whilst also giving an opportunity for members/fans to ask any questions they may have about the new Society. We are delighted to announce that Cowdenbeath FC manager Calum Elliot will also be joining us and doing a 'Meet The Manager' session so feel free to come along and ask Calum any burning questions that you might have. We'll provide a further update later on in the week with more details for Saturday's event.
  19. The person of "extremely good authority " needs to be removed from your contacts as he has made you sound an even bigger tube than normal (if that is remotely possible). Enjoy the game tomorrow!
  20. Think we also beat Stirling Uni at home.
  21. You can never predict anything in this league. We produced some unexpected results last season with a poor team. I think game will go either way tomorrow and is close to call. With fit squad, we would have had a strong chance but missing a few and others with knocks. Really need a change of luck soon.
  22. The injuries have been a huge blow! I still believe that with a full squad we would have won against Broomhill and more than matched EK. A bit of luck would be appreciated at some point.
  23. I think this shows why we were struggling last season. Players like Dan and Alfie worked really hard and looked better than other players but on the bench at new teams. Think Kevin Fotheringham is taking over the HOB team at the moment.
  24. Robbie was an absolute machine last night. His best game and that is saying something, as he is class every game. Wee Zak was unplayable at times. He did have a 20min period where he made a few wrong decisions but we can let him away with this. Also thought Doc had a very good game, particularly first half. He just needs to get a goal from open play and things will start going for him. Unlucky with blocks etc.
