  1. Anyone any ideas of the incoming news we've been waiting on all day?
  2. Wonder who signed up last night? Maybe an extension for the management team?
  3. The £120 was the hospitality price was it not? The half season ticket was cheaper again though...
  4. Yeah, I'm trying to do the calculations and can'twork it out. Do we have 450 season ticket holders? As far as I was aware, it was season ticket + 1 so that would suggest that half the number of tickets sold was equal to (or less than since not every season ticket holder had to take their tickets) the number of season ticket holders.
  5. Our? More like, signed on loan from your team? It's so funny how so many think you are close to "Ours to lose" territory. It's been Stenny's to lose for months now. Shame there isn't a team up to challenging but fair play, given the run you guys are on. A bit like Arbroath when they won promotion from league 1 to the Championship, not blowing teams away but getting results when it seems like you might be up against it. FWIW, I've been saying for the last couple of months that I think Spartans will be the next closest and stand by that. Enjoy the rest of the season. Not often you get to enjoy a season like this at teams like Stenny or Dumbarton!
  6. Yeah, I don't think there was any need to say point blank that we wouldn't be signing a goalkeeper, just to go sign one. It just leaves him open to criticism (and possibly a little bit of praise if he actually admits he got it wrong). Just say, "we are aware of a few areas where we need to improve/sign players and we will stretch the budget to as much as we can." Or something along those lines. At times, be does himself no favours.
  7. To be honest, I'd love for you to find evidence of me saying it's a penalty. I thought it was soft at the time and haven't seen it back yet myself.
  8. Missed out goals he cost us and misplaced passes.
  9. Sour grapes perhaps... was he released by any chance?
  10. Having seen his performance on Saturday and in other matches, I'm not sure he would have given it. He's just a shite referee. ETA - Shite & Inconsistent Referee. Which IMO is worse.
  11. We can but dream. I don't think Faz will be rushing into any more meet the manager sessions anytime soon.
  12. Just call it off and agree a point each... a although, a midweek like that, Peterhead might fancy there chances of stopping their own sticky run of form.
  13. He really is a clown. Protecting Ryan Blair (worst play on the park for me), refusing to admit that Broun is clearly struggling at this level and then going on to say, we didn't lose today because of the changes he made Also, apparently we were very good in the 2nd half and unlucky not to get something today...
  14. If we have deliberately rested players today and expected still to get a result then Faz is delusional as to the strength and depth we have but I'd also say it borders on a lack of respect for the opposition. We don't have enough in our squad to rest players like that. I think anyone who doubted T Wallace contribution outside of his goals, could see today what he brought to the team. We now need to stop the rot because we have all read this book a couple of times over, and we can't have the same plot unfolding this year. If it does, it will result in us missing out of the play offs completely.
  15. My biggest concern/disappointment was that you guys didn't have to show anything and you've walked away with 3 points. As the match went on (until our double sub) you were growing in confidence but didn't have to do anything because we were so bad and gifted both goals to you. I'd still be concerned about the rest of the season though, as I expect Clyde to kick on from here and it looks like you may be very vulnerable with the team/squad you have. Side note for the ref, who I thought was hopeless today. Didn't cost us any goals/points as such, but he was very inconsistent and stopped the game from flowing a lot of the time.
  16. Well, that was quite something. Farrell got it wrong before the match, Blair shouldn't be anywhere near our team, the goalkeeper debate this week was absolutely justified and it shows that, again, Farrell has got it wrong. Shite.
  17. So, is Carlo forward one at right midfield? Think I'd much rather have dropped Blair to have our best full backs in place. And even if they are (hopefully), I don't want Blair starting in midfield either over T Wallace or Malcolm. Assuming Orsi is only "fit for the bench".
  18. The point I was making is that, Paddy O'Neill has done absolutely nothing in his career and I think if we were going to take the easiest option a young boy would have been a similar option. Obviously, I don't have any knowhow when it comes to our youth teams etc but I'm just not convinced there was no way we could have done better in this situation.
  19. We've gone from having the best 'keeper in the league to having an untested rookie and a dud. If he now goes and signs 2 or 3 players in January then I think most would agree he has made a mistake by not making one of those signings a goalie. If he doesn't sign anyone else or even if he only signs a CB then I'd appreciate that we also needed someone in as cover in that area. But to go signing a winger, or even a striker over replacing one of our most important players, is ludicrous. I worry this could really cost us but, like yourself, would love to be proven wrong by Broun.
  20. *Heads over to Mr Hill to place a bet on the number of cards in the match*
  21. There is absolutely no way we couldn't have found a better choice than signing Paddy O'Neill... would've been as well getting one of the young boys to sit in the bench who are playing in the u19s or something.
  22. If that is true, Faz is doing himself absolutely no favours. It's almost like he wants to be up against it, so he has excuses if he fails to achieve objectives and targets.
