  1. That's incredible, a bit like the scoreline today. No wonder you guys had no motivation to go along to an away game like this (especially after midweek!). To be honest, I'm not surprised at Clyde winning today. Stenny can almost lose all the matches they have left and they'd still struggle not to win this league, such is the state of the teams below them. Also, I've fancied Clyde to escape since McCall came in and stand by it, even moreso this evening.
  2. It seems, rumour has it , that Lennon will play CB with Crighton and Newbury will play in midfield in front of them. Which would mean Blair at LB and Pignatiello at RB. At least he is trying something...
  3. To be fair, there won't be any requirement for floodlights in the next 4-6 weeks anyway. Even now, it's light til nearly 6pm so I can't imagine many more being moved, unless it is for other reasons like the players preference etc. An early kick off is a great thing if you're in good form. It allows you to put pressure on the others around you in the table. But, on our current run, it'll just be motivation at half time for the like of East Fife and Bonnyrigg to up their game, if they aren't already winning at half time in their own matches.
  4. You see, where you guys didn't have a good relationship with the guy, in general. We all (mostly) rated him very highly. I'm not a fan of petulant bookings but in terms of everything else, I thought he handled himself really well. Even when he didn't start or anything, I don't remember him seeming bothered by it. Dare I say it, he's been very professional and pretty reliable to us, other than some time out with injury and stuff last season. Gutted to lose a key player, because we don't have anyone else who can do the job he done for us.
  5. No idea who he is... I know Kris Boyd works as a pundit now. Does he have some cousin or something I don't know about?
  6. This is the problem. Every single team look like a much better side against us. Stranraer's league position would suggest they aren't actually that decent a side. But we all know they are the real favourites tomorrow, despite the difference in league positions.
  7. I'm surprised it took so long for one of your lot to stick their nose in to be honest...
  8. You would drop Orsi but start Healy and Kelly? He hasn't been in great form, but for me the latter guys look like boys playing against men. I'd like to think they can contribute, but I have so many concerns. It also says a lot about the state of our squad and the players we have that you have Blair at LB. I'd be inclined to make it a back 3/5 with wingbacks. I thought Lennon looked more comfortable (less uncomfortable??) when he was pushed out wide at the weekend. But that also left us with Carlo at RCB, when you'd rather he was further forward. That would also leaves us questions over putting Lynas back in at RCB or putting him at RWB, Carlo to LWB and putting Lennon into his, apparently, natural position at CB. I just want him to shake it up a bit more and have a go. We are limping and look very badly wounded at the moment. If we don't make some changes, we will continue to falter. But, the state of our squad, the imbalance throughout and the fact we have basically no players in good form makes it a difficult one. All that being said, I expect little to no changes for this match...
  9. Pretty sure we can loan until the end of February. That's why I mentioned over on Sons Sorrow about us using his wage elsewhere. It would be absolutely idiotic not to try and improve the squad, given the state it is currently in.
  10. Huge blow that. He gave us something we simply don't have in any other player. A link from back to front. As Jan points out, without him we are a much weaker side. Will his wage be used to bring in someone on loan as cover?? Not sure what will be out there at this time but need something...
  11. Some folk have mentioned it, he seems a decent guy. But he is deluded. It's mental that, I think he actually believes we can turn this around. But why can't he see that all but 1 (maybe 2) of our January recruitment's aren't up to this level of football? Boys like Healy, Kelly and Lennon are not ready for this level yet. Hogarth is yet to convince me, even though he is a fair upgrade on Broun. Perhaps we were just spoiled by having Brett as our number 1 but it's hard to take the drop in our defensive solidity since we lost Brett and that was after already losing Durnan. Time for Farrell to go.
  12. At no point today did any of our players, manager, coaches etc... look like they thought we could get anything from the match. The teams confidence appears to be at an all time low and so many just kept chucking it when they lost the ball. Farrell seemed bothered by the shouts towards him, at times, but what does he expect? He is so deluded when it comes to facing upto things. We are regressing, rapidly and are in a really bad place. He is the primary cause of that. We are so chaotic and, why is it that, we can see things that he either cannot or chooses to ignore? I can see the pressure mounting from fans, with the exception of the happy clapping crew, in the coming weeks. It will be interesting to see how he defends himself after that today.
  13. Clyde weren't exactly brilliant today, but they wanted to win more than our gang of absolute wimps. I reckon Clyde will still struggle to stay up, because every other side in the division will put up more of a fight than our mob did today (and have been for months now). Big changes required and I have no confidence (a bit like our players, ironically) that any of them will be made. Lennon is such a weak link. He backed off for the first goal, although the 'keeper should do better from that distance, and gave away the penalty. It was very naive, he was ushered away from the ball whilst it was in the air and then needlessly and carelessly rushed into the challenge. We have far too many boys playing against men and are so lightweight all over. Newbury had a poor 2nd half, the threat down our right wasn't utilised anywhere near enough and we offered basically no threat anywhere else on the park either. I mentioned recently about the amount of corners and set pieces we have and never threaten from, and today was no different. Plenty balls into the box but we do nothing from them. We must be the easiest team to play against because we don't put the other team under much pressure (no pressure in many matches) and are always good to gift you a goal. We will not finish in the play off positions - at the top of the league anyway. The last time I felt this confident about something was just before Christmas last season when I told a few friends we would not win the league. They never understood how but I, and not the only one, was right. Farrell is a nice guy and a decent coach. Farrell, however, is a dreadful manager. Enjoy your victory today and all the best for the reason of the season, Clyde Maybe now you guys will understand the attitude of our fans before the match.
  14. If my memory serves me right, wee Craigy Brittain spend his days as a postie outside of football. I'd imagine it kept him fit enough, even though it was only walking and not the same intensity you'd see on a football pitch.
  15. Mental how that side also have 6 former sons in it too. What would you give to have Murray in charge and Sam Stanton & Lewis Vaughan in our team...
  16. I 100% agree with you. It is just frustrating that, this season, they haven't had to be as good as others have in other years to win the league so comfortably. In my opinion, even the Stirling Albion side if last season would have won this league over the current Stenny team. In years gone by it's been much more competitive division with many better teams fighting it out at the top. But nobody will, and nobody can, argue that they are by a country mile the best team in the league and the main reasons for that are that they have a very good manager and a good squad.
  17. I agree. I've said a few times, they remind me of Arbroath when they got promoted to the Championship. Every time we play them, I feel like they aren't any better than us (in the matches), but they know how to grind out results when not playing well and they have developed a habit of winning. Consistency is huge at this level and they have shown it where noone else has. I've not been overly impressed by them when we have played them this year, but they have a settled side, a manager who is getting the best out of his players and they are resilient. We haven't done anywhere near enough in most of our games this year, despite us often having the bulk of possession and lots of corners etc... a half decent manager, who can actually get the best out of his players, would have us at least competing for the title this season.
  18. Might be some PTSD I'm suffering but I dreamt about this match last night and Dumbarton were 0 - 4 up at half time and ended up losing 5 - 4 It wouldn't even be the biggest surprise if that happened. A team of fucking wimps managed by someone who has no backbone. Get Faz on our recruitment and get a decent gaffer in and we'd stroll this league. What a shite league it's been this year. Other than Stenny, every other team is really poor.
  19. Home win. We're rotten and Clyde have been a bit of a bogey team over the years.
  20. I thought on Saturday he rested a few of the guys and was doing so, to allow them to be fresh for this match... but it makes no sense to then start basically the same side. I actually think we must have the biggest gang of shitiest set piece takers in the league. I'd love some stats in the numbers of corners & free kicks we have had around the box vs the amount we have actually threatened from them. Rotten.
  21. Once again, a chance to make a wee bit of a statement on the table. Go above our opponents, close the gap on 2nd to 2 points and - perhaps most importantly - get further from Bonnyrigg and cement our position in the play-offs. A bunch of failures.
  22. Is it not bizarre (maybe not so, given the muppets running out club) that we will move kick off by an hour to save a few bob in leccy, but won't stream a match which would make us money with - little to no overheads to do so?
  23. Would be handy, for sure. So I can throw more money away.
  24. Came to ask about this... can't make the game but would, somewhat idiotically, buy the stream.
  25. Might be playing a back 3 with Malcolm & Carlo at wing backs... never know with Faz.
