  1. Kenny Shiels claims someone else "knows no shame" - how ironic
  2. PS Followed up by TB, rather than BJ, being drafted in at Bolton.
  3. Not least having been CEO of Chelsea and Sheffield Utd, I dinnae think so but in the spirit of fraternal relations, perhaps let's just agree they worked as a team.
  4. I agree with much of this. We also had a group of people 6/7 who were able and prepared to put in considerable sums in our time of need. This is a different scenario. No current existential threat to the club. The MSG wants to hand over the heavy lifting to the next generation so this proposal is manna from heaven for them. It's hard to get comfortable handing over, say, £10k as effectively a donation in this context - no real shareholder benefits or influence against some vague idea about a budget to get us promoted. I can understand why the "Patron" pledges have been below expectation. The key to promotion isn't just money - ask Sevco, Hibs and DU. I'd be feeling more exercised if my money was to be hypothecated to finish the ground / buy out the Council, rather than go into a short term wages budget. Seems to me this needs a rethink. As for Bryan Jackson, I think you'll find, whilst he may have done a decent job at DUFC, Hearts and and Portsmouth had much to do with Trevor Birch.
  5. Did we not sign Big Craw from the Juniors - Baillieston I think?
  6. As one of them, I think I know very well. Neither of these guys has approached me for instance, or others I know.
  7. No it's not but how do the sponsors identify potential patrons without the assistance of the club? GDPR issue in here somewhere?
  8. I'm not aware of any significant work being done to speak to individuals capable of contributing £5k+ but then the club has never made the effort to understand who its supporters are.
  9. How? Seriously, I don't know - is there a repayment provision?
  10. There should be a statue of SA outside the South Stand for this. Tremendous contribution not least given there is no realistic expectation of ever getting his money back.
  11. You may well be correct on first point. I was only aware of MR saying he would step down, once his SPFL role ends. Perhaps you could ask this evening, if you are attending. You also assume the Patrons would vote as a block - far from certain. The MSG plus 20% would form a majority in terms of voting for board appointments.
  12. Stunning striker signing incoming, fingers crossed #ITK
  13. The MSG will have still have effective Board control
  14. Fan ownership proposal is bonkers;- - Gets MSG off the moral hook whilst preserving their effective control - Serves as a vehicle for a couple of people to get into the boardroom - Doesn't address the big issues i.e. stadium ownership, completion of the stadium, buying promotion - Dilutes financial resource and flexibility I'm sure there will be plenty of folk, with the best of intentions, prepared to make a donation, albeit for no defined purpose, for that's what it is, but I certainly wouldn't be punting £10-100k into this model. The company could simply make an open offer at a substantial discount to apparent net asset value / share.
  15. I didn't say it was a free handout, but when the club was on the point of administration they stepped up to the plate to cover the funding requirement - a fan ownership company couldn't realistically have done that
  16. Presumably because they didn't entirely agree with the tribunal, plus there was the "history" with Sheil's father
  17. Bailing out the club on a regular basis....and yes I know they are culpable in terms of letting George Craig (allegedly) and the Clown get us into that state in the first place
  18. Because this concept of fan ownership is fatally flawed. Better with a hard core with deep pockets than some sort of community enterprise.
  19. I hope these guys have been introduced to each other before tomorrow afternoon or it could be chaos.....
  20. What's that he's got strapped rotund his midriff?
  21. I think a half decent midfield, in fact any midfield, will take a bit of pressure off the back four so perhaps we shouldn't expect much by of movement there - apart from a CH and a goalie obviously. Desperately need creative width (Longridge?) and striker(s) - Rudden and O'Hara would see us relegated.
