  1. Kyrgios playing in a match like that could be hilarious. Guaranteed meltdown.
  2. I imagine the approach will be the same, sensible, one Smith and Andy have been taking. 2-0, on you go lads, 1-1, I'll get stuck in.
  3. I don't know if it's wise to move him mid series but Root's long term future has to be at 3.
  4. As others have said hard to remember such a one sided match. Folk saying it was gonna be a boring draw after day 1.
  5. Barker, fucking idiot. Glasgow in with a chance of the semi?
  6. Surely over now. Another tremendous victory for the Murray scrapbook. If he could pretty much single handedly lead GB to the Cup it would be up there with his his Major/Olympic victories imo.
  7. Lyth and Ballance need punted, I'd stick with bell for now, as daft as it sounds possibly promote him. Hales opening with Cook, Bairstow in and Ali pushed up the order as well.
  8. So we got beat of the Netherlands and Afghanistan but finished ahead of both and qualify?
  9. Great win. Just have to hope Andy has enough in the tank against probably a well rested RG. Potentially a home semi against Kazakhstan?
  10. ^^^ friends in high places. http://news.sky.com/story/1521160/pm-wants-conversation-about-killer-seagulls
  11. Amsterdam is a wonderful city but horrendous for pick pockets.
  12. The first Test victory masked the two diddies in England's top 3. Lyth looks like another who's not up to scratch(I'd take a gamble and throw in Hales, alright he's a bit agricultural and his FC average is, well, average, but then Trescothick was similar when they threw him in) and there's absolutely no way Ballance is a Test first drop. Bowled 6 times in his last ten innings, you wouldn't be happy with that from a tailender.
  13. The RoS on the deciding set point in the second was unreal. 138 mph serve I think, think Tsonga's shock it came back over played a part in him punting it long.
  14. I'm guessing Smith will just let Andy decide. I'd have him in the doubles without doubt, if he feels capable.
  15. That's the caricature. Yes he is a conservative batsmen, especially for the moderngame , but he's had a great deal of success with his (limited) methods. 9,000+ runs at an average of 46 is not to be sniffed at, no matter how you get them. The danger for me is if he tries to be something he's not to fit in with the new positive attitude the English Test team are seemingly adopting. Without question he'll end his career as England's most successful batsmen and there is talk of him challenging some of Sachin's numerous records.
  16. Don't think the rain will help too much, Aussies could probably lose a day and still canter home.
  17. Still think some have written this game off too early. Squeaky bum time if England lose their customary early wickets later.
  18. I imagine Andy will play the doubles with Jamie if it's 1-1 after today. Tough ask though, that's some squad the French have, 3 of the world's top 12.
  19. Only day 1 though. Might be some life in this pitch yet.
