I don't rate Goodwin either but I totally agree with your post. After finishing 10th last season and bringing in an entirely new first team I thought maybe a gradual step and get into the top 6 was more realistic than going for 3rd bit after being 3rd at the World Cup break then Goodwin is under pressure to deliver 3rd or 4th.

McInnes did well but to say he did brilliant is pushing it. We had the 2nd biggest budget in the league when Rangers, Hearts and Hibernian were all languishing in the lower leagues so he didn't achieve anything above what should he have. The football in the last 18 months of his time in charge was brutal to watch. Where we have failed is 2 poor appointments since McInnes left.

Mcinnes travelled with the players on the team bus to away games. Goodwin doesn't (with the exception of Ibrox). He drives his own car to away games. I think he won't survive January.

Stewart shouldn't be anywhere near the Aberdeen team but his colour has nothing to do his lack of ability. I hope whichever numbskull was stupid enough to give Stewart racist abuse is outed and receives the punishment that is deserved for racist abuse

The St Mirren fans are right to gloat about yesterday not that I thought they played well but we were absolutely stinking after Matty Kennedy put us ahead but 2 questions need to be asked. How bad is the league that Aberdeen are still in 3rd having lost HALF of their 18 games? Oh and why did Mark O'Hara not take the 3rd penalty?

Likely defeats at Hearts and Hibs. Certain defeat in the Semi Final and who knows what to expect from the trips to Killie and Darvel. Goodwin will be doing well to still have the fans onside on February 1

I didn't have any issues with the Rangers players giving it laldy towards the Aberdeen fans. It's not like our fans were angels on Tuesday singing about wanting Ryan Jack to die and also singing about Davie Cooper and Fernando Ricksen. Can't dish it out and not expect it in return. Cormack must be very relieved that we've already sold 15,000 tickets for the Semi final as who would trust these bottle merchants in a big game at Hampden? As for Goodwin has he got a vandetta against Besuijen and Ramirez as surely they would have been better options than Morris and Watkins. I also think he was very naive in not stopping the game in injury time to make our last sub. It could have stopped the momentum that Rangers were building up at that time. Derek McInnes would not have lost that game tonight and I don't think Stephen Glass would have lost it either.

I actually think Hearts and St Mirren will finish ahead of us. Hearts have easily the 3rd best squad in the league and I was very impressed by Saints in their games with Celtic and Rangers at Paisley and think they've got enough about them to be 4th. We will be battling Hibs, Livingston, St Johnstone and the others for 5th.

I'm a season ticket holder but after a day's work and the prospect of an early start for work the following day then I'm also not sure whether turning up to watch another 90 minutes of us defending in depth like San Marino is worth attending. Can see it being as low as 12,000 on Tuesday.

Can you imagine a Celtic v Rangers game if one team scores only for VAR to rule a penalty for the other team? No me either. Nick Walsh had a nightmare tonight. He is an atrocious ref. We left ourselves too much to do by our woeful first 25 but Livi were probably fortunate to win. Martingale is doing a fine job though. To be ahead of Hearts and Hibs is good going. Still find it crazy we are 3rd as we are a really naive team at times.

Got home from Dundee to hear this and got even angrier than I was at Tannadice. Losing 4-0 to the bottom of the table side is not one of those games. If that's seriously what you think Lee Sharp then GTF.

So when is the Aberdeen v Rangers game now likely to play now that there is no chance it will be this weekend?

Personally I think McLennan is more a Cove Rangers type player than a St Johnstone one. He will probably do one or two good things in a game but he usually runs into defenders or tries to beat 2 men when 1 would be enough.

I think Dundee at home would have been better. Thistle are dangerous and will have nothing to lose.

I'm just glad it was a League 2 team we were playing tonight as for 90 minutes we were very average. Only once Duk, Duncan, Hayes and Clarkson were on did we ever look really threatening. A long night and looking like being nearly 3am before getting back to Aberdeen.....

Besuijen needs to be played wide or not at all. He is not a no 10.
