I think in theory that could happen but Jamie Swinney has confirmed on Twitter that it won’t due to the recent crowd trouble.

I actually can’t ever remember the north stand being segregated (unless I’m forgetting) as the need has never arisen- we have always maxed out at around the 6000 home fan mark for previous big matches at TFS.

It can be segregated inside yeah. We did it for a few games in the SPL days versus ICT, Gretna etc.

Is there not still an option to open up the right hand side of the North Stand if absolutely necessary?

Don't quite think it’ll get to that though….

I don’t think it will be needed either but no Jamie Swinney has posted on Twitter tonight to say the NS will be for Accies only.

I can see section H of the main stand on sale first thing tomorrow though.

Not for me. When we first got relegated to this league, I was embarrassed that we were in it. Because being in the third tier was where we were when I saw my first game in 78/79. We won promotion the following season and had never been back at this level since the mistakes of 18/19.

Like most of us, I assumed we'd go up at the first time of asking. Maybe we would have done had covid not played a part. Which is why promotion would have meant nothing to me if/when it happened in that first season in League One. I expected us to scoosh the league. I was wrong.

After five years of misery, I will be going mental on the day that we finally win promotion. It will not be a relief. It will be something to be celebrated, enjoyed and remembered, just as 79/80 was for me.

Hopefully this season is the one when it happens.

This was my thinking too when we first came down. When we win the league, go up quietly as it was embarrassing to be down in L1. But after the last few years of shit, being knocked by every fan above us in the country, whenever it does happen, we need to enjoy it & use it as a catalyst for kicking on.

    Another great listen again...

The cowardice shown by the Hamilton pod team tho 😭😭

I'll guess a few more that were at the first game at the TFS will share same approach and fail to show also, poor show for them not to show anger, delusion or eat humble pie on the podcast.

Through gritted teeth I congratulated Dunfermline last season, tho the day of them getting the trophy I got my Dunfermline mates wife and 6 other girls in Falkirk tops. My mate remembers that more than receiving the league trophy 😃

Also her son messaged her not to come home 😶😶

Yeah, we had to eat our own words after the 2-0 loss to that lot last season on the next podcast and I think they could have come on but hey ho. Not everyone is the same I suppose.

    Great pic 👏🏻

I'm still having so much trouble accepting the fact this actually happened.

I saw it first hand and it wasn’t much tbh. Due to the time of year/late KO, the “young” QOS fans had had a good drink and were up for berating the home fans but it was mostly older fans/families along that way so the stewards had to get involved.

I'm having a hard time believing, given the way ticket sales are going, that it wouldn't be better to open block H, and get extra stewards to occupy the area between there and NS. Accies fans at the East end of the North, lock the middle door. Don't allow them past the half way point so they never get near the Falkirk fans and vice versa.

That would be the sensible thing to do if we needed to sell the last of the main stand. Still 500+ tickets though even without that last section though.

We are in hiding, take the hint.

Him and the ‘club supremo’ said Rankin’s target is 20 points a quarter ergo 4x20=80. I believe their basis was what Dunfermline did season don’t really know how that adds up right enough.

They were asked in December if our closest rival continues to out perform their expectations (as Falkirk are clearly doing) then surely Rankins KPI should be increased to which we have been told it would not be.

We have an Accies fan coming on, thanks though 👍🏼

  8. I think the issues with the KM stand capacity versus empty seats is 2 fold. 1 is a number of people double up in the ultras section meaning seats go free elsewhere.

2 is the free kids STs. They are free anyway and the club could just let people rock up with their kids on match day, if going. I’m not convinced these are always used by parents. Different in the main stand where demand is fine & it’s allocated seating.

I'm sure John mentioned the exact number on Falkirk Daft a few podcasts ago which included half season tickets as well. Can't remember what that number was though, maybe around the 2700 mark?

On the 13th December, Jamie Swinney quoted 2,709.
