That reminds me - hats off to Montrose FC. No jobsworths in hi-viz trying to stop the party, no extra barricades around the pitch, no haranguing over the PA. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived in the town - the cafes, pubs and kebab joints were great. Many thanks to the Legion keeping their lounge open for visiting fans even though they had a wedding on. The cops were good natured and just kept an eye on things without being arseholes. Although there were huge queues to get in the ground, they moved quickly with no hassle. Well done to the Montrose team for the guard of honour, although bending over to take seven was maybe a bit OTT
Full of respect for Montrose, my favourite wee team now.
Totally agree. Couldn’t fault them

Forecast is terrible. 40-50mph winds could cause problems.
To be dry at least. Their only tactic is pumping it long so high winds won’t suit them.

I think the SPFL may have it wrong tbh. Our (podcast) stats man has Morrison on 23 goals & 11 assists, granted that’s across all comps.

The last three home games of that season saw 3158 at a 3-0 loss to Montrose, 3113 at a 3-0 loss to Cove and 3366 at a 2-1 loss to Alloa, so your numbers are a little low.
For league games we tend to fluctuate between three and five thousand depending on how the team are doing. I can vaguely recall conversations with George Craig in the top flight maybe 15 years ago when his aim was to get our home support at around five thousand.
Our support has held up remarkably well considering the performance of the team in recent years.
If we could regularly get 5000 home fans what a difference that would make to income & atmosphere plus when decent away supports come (Pars etc) then you are looking at 6,000-7,500.

We’ve taken some blows from lesser clubs over the last few years for where we’ve been and what we’ve done but that will make it all the sweeter when we end up back in the premiership before them even after all of that

Falkirk attendances at Palmerston this season are 560 the 1st time and 629 the 2nd time (which to be fair was on live tv at 5:30).
What was the home crowd at the 2nd match? 300? Lowest home crowd I think I’ve ever seen at Palmerston sadly.

Christ I’m rough
I was emotional last night & still am today tbh.
That was a PERFECT day & maybe my best as a Bairn so far.
Start to finish with the best people, brilliant journey north on the train, scenes at 4.45 in the Picture House bar when we knew our champions outcome, then out in the high street at the Market Arms…scenes!
The game & atmosphere was out of this world and then on the pitch at FT . Can’t beat it. Stirling train station on the way home was class again and to top off the night spending it with fellow Bairns, the players, management & staff was SURREAL in Behind The Wall. Carnage .
Falkirk FC….The Navy Blue Army!
Oh & the gaffer agreed to come on the podcast again before the end of the season, result
To all the Bairns no longer with us, my Dad included, that one is for you legends! Thats us on the way back up Dad

It’s a good problem to be talking about I suppose

I’m told the 2,500 is for the sections in the stand, the open terrace behind the goals & along the wing.
If it’s needed, the extra 900 will be for chunk of the other end behind the goals.

Yip that's the link I was going to use, don't understand how anybody has paid £5 for an under 12, not complaining if I get the wee man in for free but is there another section that's maybe sold out or is it open terrace all round?
We have 2 sections of the stand plus behind the away goal & then all the way down the other side of the pitch (standing)

Bit late in the day but any way of getting more tickets out for Saturday? Would be a shame to have a fairly empty north stand. Any easy way of distributing some kids freebies?
NS will be the PATG area for Saturday & I think a decent walk up will happen tbh. Still tomorrow too for sales but looking like 5,500 home fans.

Yeats wouldn’t go to Perth imho. I doubt he’d want to maroon himself somewhere he couldn’t get a game either
Finn will sign soon hopefully

They did indeed. Heard that from the guys who were at BTW on Sat. Nice touch on the return to the boardroom.
