  1. I understand you're talking about rules being rules, but I'm saying I've never seen that particular method of referereing actually applied today. There was about 3 examples in our previous game alone of a defender going down after an aerial foul and the ref blowing instantly despite an attacking moment coming from it. Todays example of refereeing was a first for me.
  2. Because, my point was I've never seen a defender fouled in the box and play allowed to continue for multiple events to happen before its blown for. So far people are just showing players fouled out the area and then a shot happening with seconds.
  3. Again, thats not in the box, and a player was clean through. Today it was in a crowded box.
  4. I said I'd never seen a ref play on like that when a defender is fouled in the box. You're the one changing what I said.
  5. The one that wasnt in the box and had the ref blow for a foul before your striker shot?
  6. Was that a usual Leven set up/approach, or do you think your new manager had an input?
  7. Is it the high foot one? He blows almost straight after that and signals with his hand for a foul? It's just remarkable they're able to ref this way when it benefits Celtic/Rangers, yet in Ross County v Livingston act completely different.
  8. I've never once seen a referee allow "play to develop" like that if they see a foul in the box on the defending side. Not once since VAR came in.
  9. Genuinely just seen him signal for the free kick to Celtic and if anything it's even worse he does that. Why does he wait until an Aberdeen player is fouled to stop play?
  10. Well yes, in the context of the team he was picked in, it's quite clear that wasn't a first team selection. If youre genuinglyclaiming him starting alongside luminaries like Bobby Clark, Melkamu Frauendorf, and Layton Stewart, once, is him being good enough for Liverpools first team then crack on.
  11. Interesting that for Aberdeens next penalty shout, they were miraculously able to not just check the penalty incident and awarded a foul and free kick instead.
  12. You could tell after the first that he wasn't saving any. Had that, I've no confidence I'm saving any so everything lacks conviction dive going on, and it was no surprise he let a relatively simple save beat him later on in the shootout as he seemed surprised he chose the right way. A better keeper and you win that.
  13. The goalkeeper and defence gave an example of why.
  14. It was clearly handball, but they don't give them v Celtic/Rangers and claim it wasn't clearly wrong when VAR looks. For Celtic/Rangers that gets given by the ref then VAR doesn't change it.
  15. They change that rule all the time. We had a goal ruled out this season for a foul, which they spent about 4 minutes finding after the initial check was for offside.
  16. Looks on the line to me. 100% that gets given as a penalty the other way.
  17. That's a penalty if its in the other box, without question.
  18. Turns out I can't stand watching Celtic play even when as a "neutral", due to the never ending play acting. Any 50/50 instantly becomes a stoppage in play as someone is rolling about.
  19. Because they'd probably say no if they haven't decided yet. Calling them up doesn't force them to actually accept, and if they say no then that does more harm long term to the chances of them picking us than just letting them decide when they're ready.
